It's my experience of the game that Swadia gets crushed pretty quickly, due to the king being an idiot and it being surrounded on all sides. Sarranids are weak too, they really don't stand up in sieges due to their light armour. Toughest for me are the Rhodoks (lots of anti-armour, so they're bad for Swadians/Nords) and Nords, whose massive shields, heavy armour and brutal axes make them the best heavy infantry in the game by far, especially during sieges.

I have found that an army comprised almost solely of Swadian Knights, and Sarranid mounted archers is nothing short of BA, you can pretty much run anything down with that army (and putting a few perks into map traveling, etc.)

I have two armies- one for travelling around with (mostly mercenary cavalry and swadian knights) and one for sieges (mostly nord huscarls). Both of these are accompanied by around 30 either Rhodok or Vaegir marksmen, depending on whether I'm up against heavy or light armour, and whichever army I'm not with is stuck in Halmar or Tulga (I forget which).

Beware. Dwarf Fortress is essentially what would happen if you took Minecraft, added every mod ever, and distilled it into a pure sandbox game. It has ASKII graphics (uses letters and symbols instead of pictures), utilizes pretty much every key on the keyboard for controls without touching the mouse, and will engulf your life while your little dwarves go insane and try to drink flagons of lava.

It's awesome, but watch some tutorials first.

Mostly I'm playing Wargame: AirLand Battle and Blacklight: Retribution. With a side order of Company of Heroes (the revised Steam version with all the expansions) and Guild Wars 2.

Swadian Knights? Please, Sarranid Mamlukes are the best! My army currently is pretty multi-racial. I used to have a pure Huscarl army, but now it's mostly Vaegir Knights (because they look cool) and Mamlukes, with Khergit Horse Archers and a bodyguard of elite Swadian Knights.

As for the difficulty curve (which is more of a cliff than a curve, really), then the wiki has getting started guids and can probably answer

Knights? Huscarls? No, Sword Sisters are where its at. I've managed to get fifty of them thus far (and god are they a bitch to find). =)

Having reloaded a save from before I stuck in my lot with King Harlaus, I've chosen to start setting up for my own takeover. Thus far the Kingdom of the Nords has fallen to its rebels, and the Sarranid Sultanate is soon to follow. The Vaegirs were somehow wiped out by the ai a few days ago too. My plan is to instill the rebel lords in those countries that I've got a meh reputation with, then when the time comes bunk them off one by one (with none of the other nations opposing me due to having such a high reputation with the lords I put in power).

I'll be leaving Harlaus in power though. ...Only because I have a high reputation with him, and that he's already letting country fall apart without my help. Oh, and that he's a sexist tool. =P

Yeah, that was my least favorite part of MGS4. Hell, most of Act 3 was nothing but cut scenes! However, I'm pretty sure that problem was addressed with MGS5...

Went back to Darksouls, decided that I need to beat that game at least once before 2 comes out.

Made a new character cause I can't be arsed to continue with my cleric who didn't like that much the last time I played it. I only got to anor londo anyway.

Played a bit of Halo 4, Although the level design (Aside from the lovely visuals) isn't very good, the core loop (or 'sandbox' like they desperately want us to say) of the combat is great, better than the sterile Halo 3 (the weakest bungie halo game). I think once you realise how to kill those robot knights a bit more efficiently the game becomes alot more enjoyable.

I noticed at one point early on, walking through one large room, pressing a button and having a cutscene, then walking through another, pressing a button and having another cutscene. In a row with no combat inbetween.

What's more, for a little while i didn't realise i was playing on normal instead of heroic which shows 343 almost solved the problem Bungie have had since H2 of normal being too easy. Don't get me wrong i love Heroic but there are always difficulty spikes that emerge from the weaker vehicles and tougher enemy vehicles.

Its a game I should like but I just can't get into it, just like the first one.

Currently I am playing some World Of Tanks (but the new patch isn't agreeing with me), Crusader Kings 2 and some Star Trek Online. I have recently felt like playing Day Z again so it is currently DLing via Steam.

Still on Darksouls, my decision to restart with a completely different character (strenght build) has greatly improved my enjoyment of the game.

Once you take care of the enemies that resurrect and/or shield them
- charged plasma pistol shot and DMR/BR shot to the head
- shotgun/scattershot
Solves almost all Promethean Knight infestations. It's a shame that the best way to engage them is so similar to the Elites.

1. Use cover. Take forever if you have to, but always use cover.

2. What kind of equipment are you packing?

3. Positioning. Don't move your sniper with the squad. He/she moves into cover and the
squad follows at a safe distance on overwatch. The following turn your sniper will be free
to shoot and your squad can uncover enemies for the sniper to shoot at.

4. Seriously. Rockets.

Been replaying Fallout New Vegas again after a hiatus due to exams as well as other familial stuff to go through. Mainly been finishing up the DLC's; particularly Old World Blues. It's really awkward when a disembodied brain and a light-switch can be both be disconcertingly sensuous and seductive at the same time. That and calling your hands penis-tipped appendages...

Other than that Borderlands 2. Gunzerkers are the definition of Dakka Dakka!
