I preferred the lightweight legs and bits so you could practically fly, and then the multiple missile system. Why shoot one missile when you can shoot six to a dozen!
Got a little dicey on longer missions, indoors especially, but so much fun flying all over the place raining destruction!

And occasionally it's something really innocuous, like the single dialogue option I didn't choose when talking to Kelly Chambers in the refugee camp that, resulted in, well... something getting caught in my eye. *cough*
Of course you can, its Mass Effect. There's only a few characters who actually have to die as far as the story goes, the rest have fates tied to your choices, or lack of them. It does annoy me that that one character though only lives if you made a complete mess of the series up to that point though.
Spoiler:
Oh and I'm talking about Anderson. Damn I was annoyed when he died at the end. =(

how do you save Chambers and Anderson? I know you can't save Anderson by doing well. I'm pretty sure there's no way to save Anderson...
1. In ME2, after the Collectors kidnap everyone, if you don't go through the Omega relay immediately then Kelly dies when you find the crew (she's the one getting dissolved). If you do go through immediately, you do rescue her.
2. When you meet her in ME3 in the refugee camp you talk to her for a bit, and there's one dialogue option telling her to change her name. If you select that you find her after the Cerberus attack, and she's changed her name and managed to escape the death squads.
Of course that dialogue option is presented in the usual 'renegade' spot, and as I'm playing an almost 100% pure paragon character I didn't select it.

I don't remember getting that option but who knows maybe I did. There's so many permutations on how the story can go.
Grimdork, anvil. I always try at least one of each type.
As for favorites, I always tend to stick with medium weight reverse joints... there's something great about jumping onto huge buildings without using any boosters.
As for the stream, will most likely be cutting the recordings and throwing them on youtube afterwards.
GrimDork wrote: Sounds like a thing to do. You basically give up everything that makes piloting an armored core cool, in exchange for the capacity for heavier gear. Sometimes those arena matches get rough though, gotta do what it takes.
I have to disagree with you there. As much as I loved my medium/light weight AC's, I thought the heavies were plenty of fun. Switching out the high speed, for pure destruction can be super entertaining - especially in levels filled with building that can be destroyed.
If I play again sometime I will try out the tank legs. The fat legs I've used a bit. Different play through, different style or I'm just giving in to gainless nostalgia

Well, tank legs in the old games also allowed you to use folded back weapons while moving and flying. There's nothing like having 4 grenade cannons.

Spoiler:
You can save Kelly in ME2 by going after the Collectors as soon as you can, whereas you'll save her in ME3 by telling her to leave (I can't remember, check the wiki =P). In the case of Anderson I've been told that he'll live if you had very low galactic readiness and if a load of characters died. Him living is something I never bothered to confirm though, but if that's true I'd be really off that only the fethups were able to save such a great character. =/

I never seen anything confirmed on the interwebz that says Anderson can be saved. Just rumors.
Replaying ME1 is always fun if you managed to unlock a weapon or ability in your previous playthrough(s). Pure tech guy with a sniper rifle? woot. Soldier with the push or throw thingie? sweet! And big points for femshep.
Finished Saint's Row the Third.
Having not played the first two, I think people whine too much.
That game was funny and I am really looking forward to the next.

I've put about 10 hours into Pokemon White so far...forgot how entertaining these games can be. But I don't remember having to grind so much! Seems like the fights in White/Black are way harder.

After playing ME2 I can't ever play ME1 again. The shooting elements are so "RPG-skill dependent" it's silly. Is ME3 that good? I have ME3 for the longest time but I still haven't gathered the courage to finish my ME2 playthrough... I lost my previous save with my awesome Jeska and I'm still trying to gather up the courage to finish it again and start ME3.
(I even bought the "comic book" DLC so I could skip ME1 entirely )

They are, up until a certain point. I had to make sure that by the time I entered a new gym city, I had x pokemon of at least y level not including my starter that had a nice lion's share of the experience.
Currently playing Minecraft, and I'm working on my next "big" project right now.

Just completed Max Payne 2. Having only ever played the first in the series I'm kind of blown away by how good the writing and gameplay are. For a game made eight years ago its set the bar pretty high for game from that era, as well as making me think that more modern games really could do better.
On ME3. Its...pretty damn good.Overall it feels like ME2, but with more polish. I did play it through tinted glasses having spent so much time into the series, but those who have played the previous two will get a lot out of it. Just... make sure you've done everything the way you wanted in the previous games beforehand. For me its the kind of game you play once every couple of years, just due to how everything wraps up. I don't think I could emotionally invest myself into replaying it soon after completing it as well, the game makes you feel content about the choices you've made ...and a lot of the character development won't have the same effect on you if you already know what's going to happen.
As for ME1. I replayed the entire series before 3 just to make sure I was ok about how the story was going until then. The comic book DLC covers the main plot points, but misses out on the smaller ones. So if you want the most out of the story you have to have completed the previous two to death. The little scenes or news reports about side characters really hit off on the nostalgia points, and youknow ...they're events that only those who've bothered to play the whole series see. =/
@Wyrmalla: Oh yes, I completely agree, something that makes it a pain to replay ME2 is that I'm doing the same exact thing all over again. I just like my fem-shep that way and I want to go play ME3 that way.
And yes, I agree, it was fantastic to meet certain characters from ME1, receiving mails, all that kind of neat stuff. It wasn't important but it was funny and had lots of "Hey, it's that guy!". One of my favorite ones was a certain Asari I spared but overall, I can't replay ME1. I already tried but after playing ME2, seeesh, I can't stand how "un-fluid" ME1's combat is.
Well, after I'm done with Ar Tonelico and Xcom, I guess I'll give it a try and attempt to finish my current playthrough so I can finally move on to ME3.
