After feeling withdraw symptoms from Mass Effect been playing Space Engineers. I cannot stress enough how much I love this game, anyone else playing it? You build spaceships, space stations, mining craft, fighters, anything you can imagine. Its a bit similar to minecraft in that you use blocks, but the graphics are better. will leave a wee video so you can see yourselves. Now to build a 40k inspired battleship
Yeah, there have been huge amounts of progression Mel - Survival mode went in months ago and they do an update every week or two at most. It's pretty solid now. And as far as forced PVP - you can literally turn off weapons and death, and/or set up a private or friends only server if you are afraid of griefers.
I've been messing around mostly in creative mode since I want to wait until they get some truly huge maps before I start another survival playthrough - I had a really elaborate asteroid base and mining/pirating setup.
Back on topic more I have been playing the bejesus out of some Rome 2 ever since I found out that the Radious mod apparently rips the civil war right on out. That mechanic had basically ruined the game for me and now I am having a flipping blast.
Man, when they finally have something like infinite generation going, I'll probably spend a couple months putting together a giant Maw ship, able to swallow and drill/grind entire asteroids at a time, and just cruise around eating rocks and making resources.

World of Warcraft roleplay.
My character, Ashiraya Sunblade, is imprisoned by the Argent Crusade and awaiting judgment. A big public trial event will be held on the 19th - 21st. She is accused of committing various terrible crimes in the guise of the 'Black Queen'.
In any normal situation, execution would be the guaranteed result, but this is not a normal situation and there are a few things working in her favour. For example, the fact that she sought out the Argent Crusade and surrendered willingly, to the surprise of the Crusaders.

In said trial, will she suddenly break free and slaugther the mewling fools where they stand?
Anyhow today I felt the urge for some mindless violence, so I reinstaled all the F.E.A.R. games, good times good times indeed spent shooting clones, evil supernatural zombies and what not else
Has anyone playing Mount & Blade Warband had trouble rescuing multiple prisoners at once? When ever I tried it they turned against me and I had to knock them out to escape.
Oh no, USA launched the first Nukes against my nation of NZ. My satellites intercepted many nukes, but at least 400,000 civilians died in the attack. I responded with my whole nuclear arsenal. The world is at war again. The beginning of the end of the world has started. A thousand years earlier than usual...
Rescuing prisoners? I havent done that quest before.

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

Played just a bit of wargame on the main soviet faction with a buddy before the game crashed. So many good weapons in their arsenal and i was mostly using helicopters. You'd be surprised just have crappy most helicopter armies were of the world in the 80's-90's. I had a crazy score like 3k kills compared to his 1k something kills and normally he does better than me. Must've been all the helos i had. I have a recon akula to scout ahead and launch missiles at any anti air with radar detection weapons. I use them mostly as good scouts now and use other helos which have a bigger payload of anti-air missiles (probably 8 per helo) for my anti air work. I also chose a helo with 12-16 anti tank missiles which are also pretty awesome. It also helps the infantry i deployed via helo transports take ground fast and well. For now soviets still have worse targeting and systems than the americans in many ways though seed rockets for recon akula's is pretty awesome. At least americans normally go with small size to be harder to hit and less multi role on the ground whereas in the air the only real multi-role aircraft is the apache. Sadly american helos don't have the AA on helos that the soviets often do so if you want to unload your force somewhere you may have to do it with stinger protection have a couple planes in to help should the enemy planes come around.
I always played aircav as americans in Wargame. A horde of cheap bombers, a crap ton of infantry in cheap transports who zoom to the all the buildings and just quickly unload and hold them.
My allies would just do the offensive fighting while my men where huge road blocks backed by air support. Was a lot of fun that game. Unfortunately it gets pretty repetitive.

Doing a second run through of Dead Space 2 to farm some achievements (upgraded weapons, airlock kills, finding that damn Ping statue...), and the third just came in the mail!
Trying Requiem again as an archer... it's really no easier.
Stealth shots only work within a certain distance, you do no damage at all to anything bigger than a wolf with a stealth shot, and without a stealth shot you simply just do no damage.
I tried to stealth shot a frostbite spider that had spawned next to Riverwood, and I took off about 1/50th of its health. It turned around, poisoned me, and the world turned into an acid trip that physically hurt my eyes.
This is an awful, awful mod that removes things and makes things harder in the name of 'roleplaying', but then removes any sense of roleplay by forcing you down certain paths if you want to even try and enjoy playing. Main quest? Can't start Bleak Falls until you're mid-levelled because Draugr eat you. Oh, and if you're a sneaky archer? You're fethed, because undead are immune to arrows unless they're silver.
Trying to play a melee character? Good luck finding enough low-level stuff that you can actually kill. Oh, and notice how you took 50% of your health as damage in that fight? I hope you brought a lot of health potions, because that's not healing on its own. You don't have any health potions because you used them already? Oh well, time to re-roll a new character.
It's like the mod is trying to make difficulty = a better game, but all it succeeds in doing is making Skyrim probably worse than Dark Souls when it comes to trying to play it. I've played Dark Souls, and it's annoying but doable if you can figure out attack patterns and think, but Requiem is only doable if you get lucky.

Requiem is a lot harder than Dark Souls. Archery is absolutely necessary at low levels. Against enemies with light armor or animals, it downright wrecks face. It does nothing against heavy armor and undead (understandably so) so I recommend taking THW as well; preferably a maul.
Always, always, always take at least one perk in Restoration. It unlocks a passive HP regen. It's not much, but it fully heals you when sleeping. Insanely useful.
Requiem forces you to be less of a one-trick-pony (unless you're a mage). Mage is easier-ish, but has a rough beginning too.
I love the mod because it's that hardcore. It's never unfair, it just makes the game "as you see it". You basically are nothing but a mere human and if you get smacked in the face by a THW, you die. Stabbed 3 times, die. It's like a drill sergeant shouting "YOU SUCK SON" at your face over and over again, but you always get back up and do one more push-up. Just one more.
Oh, and always remove gold weight. That's just stupid.

Oh boo hoo, no regenerating health. I bet you'd be upset if your magicka didn't regen too, and you couldn't figure out the first effect of potion ingredients until level 25 Alchemy too.
Heh. Requiem is pretty much "Morrowind feel for Skyrim players". I remember trying to do the main quest straight through in Morrowind. I got to a similar "fight through a haunted crypt to find an ancient artifact to prove yourself" quest. Thing was, the crypt was in the Ashlands. And about 10 levels above me. I was slaughtered, over and over again, before finally realizing that maybe I wasn't quite ready for that.

Piss off. Non-regenerating health is fine, but having to rely on scarce health potions because every fight you're in can and will cripple you is ridiculous. Even Dark Souls had plenty of Estus Flasks, and you didn't have to rely on blind luck to not get hurt.
It's a good mod if you're a masochist, not if you're someone who expected a bit more of a challenge than vanilla Skyrim and instead got Ballsack-Kicking Simulator 2014.

Why should I have to take points in restoration and magic in order to play what calls itself a roleplaying mod? That's not roleplaying, that's forcing someone down a certain path if they want to actually play it.
Anyway, I can tell this is going to go nowhere. You and anvil like it, I don't, and we won't be able to change anyone's mind on the matter.

I quite enjoy playing WT as the Russians. My Lagg-3-8 and Lagg-3-11 will shred the skies, and if you made me angry I will take out the I-16 and use my rockets on you.
Also still playing WoT again and watching my win rate skyrocket. Had an incredible T29 match last night where I earned Radley-Walters's medal (8 kills), Kolobanov's medal (stand alone vs 5 enemies and win) and Pascucci's medal (kill 3 arty) in the same game.
Oh, I'm not trying to tell you that you're playing it "wrong", you can't play a game "wrong". Just pointing out that there are means around it. I think that not healing automatically is what adds to the RPG elements - you don't suddenly start healing just by standing around. You have to take a rest or rely on potions or magic.
Roleplaying should not mean that you can do whatever you like and will succeed easily with it - that's normal Skyrim

That's good news. I'll have to see if it goes on sale again, once I get a bit more spending money. Anything not already dedicated to Got tapped out recently sadly.
How easy is it to run your own private server, like you would for a singleplayer minecraft game?

Why? Morrowind wasn't hard. Nor was Oblivion for that matter.
Now Daggerfall and Arena, those were hard.
