Some matches I can take out 2 other players, others I die without even seing the enemy that took me out. I really need to get a better handle on the different upgrades as it doesn't always seem that the next gun to research is actually better than the one I used to have.
I'm also not convinced as to which type of gun is better, should I take the rapid firing type or the bigger one that takes longer to reload?
I know the feeling about mixed performance quite well too. I have found at least when I play as an tank destroyer/ ligth or medium tank that having the best possible enginge, suspension and radio really helps in the long run. As for rapid fire cannons Vs the more slower but heavy hitting cannons, I have always found that for dealing with ligth tanks, artilliery and some tank destroyers a decent quaility rapid firing one will do just as well as the more slow firing ones, although they can struggle agains heavyier tanks and various AT vehicels.
What tanks are you using?

Presumably just the basic ones, I only signed up and got the 8GB patches done yesterday. My favourite is the only British one I have, but I have got that fully researched and upgraded so I am ready to go to tier 2 on that one. I am having severe difficulty on the smallest French tank, so may persevere with that until I can upgrade it too.
I always upgrade the radio first as it allows you to integrate into the team a lot better. You can spot for team-mates and you are aware of the enemies location more. Then I generally go engine, then suspension, finally turret and guns.

You don't see the history behind it. It's Gothic 4, the sequel to the most German games series...ever. It's hilariously clunky to play. Running and jumping is just..ugh. It has tons of features that nobody needs or do nothing and combat is about as intutitive as fixing a car engine. Every single thing out there wants to kill you. And it most certainly can. "Oh, just a single wolf, I'll just..."...dead. It basically is the Dark Souls before Dark Souls.

Ah I see, well then. Things will get much much more enjoyebal once you get to the heavier stuff. And low tier french tanks do take some time getting rigth

Oh I know how Gothic 4 was, lord I still have bad dreams about that game. While Gotich 4 had a charm of its own, Risen lacks any reedeming qualities what so ever

No... It means the total disc size needs to be 16000 mb on the HDD. You will still be limited by your Download capacity (depending on your speeds, anywhere from a couple mb/s to 100 mb/s)

So, I decided to play just cause 2 to 100% completion, which is quite fun. I'm up to about 50%. The thing with just cause is that it is impossible to play it and not have fun. I do have to send my computer in for repairs, so I'm going to have to put that on hold for a while.

I beat Trails in the Sky, and the last stretch was definitely a disappointment. The ending especially left a sour taste in my mouth, even if it was fairly predictable. However, it's got a direct sequel and the poor final hour doesn't really detract too much from the rest of the experience. Fairly minor on the scale of bad-ends, I guess.

Possibly. It might actually take up twice as much. Tera Online, for exmaple, takes 56 gigabytes to install a 23 gigabyte game.

Because people insist on playing a free MMO with me and I refused to play Archeage again, so they nominated Tera.

Have you & your friends looked into GuildWars 2? The game itself isn't free, but it's got the friendliest, most open, and most accesible free to play system I've seen.

I know, but getting some of them to shell out the money for the initial investment is hard. Poor college kids, and all that.

Yeah, it really shouldn't take 56 gigabytes of space to install a twenty-twenty five gigabyte game...

I've never played TERA if that's what you are talking about.
-----------
I always thought 'The Witcher' was pretty bad in that sense. I mean most attractive women in that game are easy. Sheesh a few paragraphs of text is often all it takes to bed them and then you get a sexually provocative card afterward. Ugh geralt's such a man-w****. That said i'm a total pervert myself but strangely enough i just don't like perversion in my games. I find it distracting. When i'm playing a game i want to play the game not something else. That said i still might buy the 2nd witcher game on sale even if every sex scene shown of it on youtube is basically a copy/paste of the same scene with a different face. That's just lazy.
Aside from the sex i still find 'the witcher' to have ridiculous choices that are far too extreme in most cases to force a sort of guilt on the player rather than having multi-layered possibilities with some seeming better the more you work out a good solution for the problem. For instance i feel like with decision-making 'deus ex: human revolution' did it better.
One last bit on 'the witcher' is even though the game is pervy you gotta admit Triss is quite attractive. Still in the first game i felt Alvin needed a family or at least not to be turned into a human guinea pig. Maybe that's just me. I dunno. You have to admit his life sucked esp. for such a young kid. That sort of stuff can mess with your head if so much bad happens to you or around you at a young age.
-----------
Other good candidates for really pervy things in games would probably be age of conan (if i remember correctly) and God of War. Oddly enough i've never played either. Once again i just don't find games with sex to be very appealing. I'd rather just flip on some p*** on the internet when i'm in the mood.
-----------
For me i'm mostly just playing 'xcom: enemy within' again. Not sure what else to do. I think i'm gonna play 'Xenonauts' fairly soon but i really need to catch up on painting and making my skaven models in warhammer fantasy.
There's also the case for playing skyrim or 'endless space'.

I picked up Valkyria Chronicles for the PC and I'm enjoying it. I thought it was funny how you can tell that Sakimoto worked on the soundtrack within like.. 3 minutes of turning the game on. I really like his style, but he could stand to stretch his legs so more.
There are a lot of really oddball design decisions in this game. Like why are the menus so partitioned up? Why are the story segments between missions arbitrarily divided into smaller pieces? Why are all the special abilities strictly random? Why can't I view the strategic map during unit's activation? Why does the game progress in real time while I'm walking, but not while aiming? Why mines? Why do the dialogue boxes only hold 2 lines of text? Ugh. While I really I am liking it I just have 1000 little nitpicks about everything.

I loaded up Dungeon Siege III, but I dunno not sure that's something I'm really feeling. Do feel like picking something up to play occasionally since I've typically got less to do in the winter but meh. Maybe I load the NWN back up and finish that.

I'm still trying to juggle my spare time between Dragon Age and Elite. I thought I'd be done with the former by the time ED releases, but DA3 is a bit bigger than I anticipated. Not that that's a bad thing, just unexpected after DA2. This one seems to be longer than even Origins. And already I know I can't wait for the inevitable DLCs. Lots of new world background in it as well, which will surely be of use for my Dragon Age P&P group! And Green Ronin has already announced a "Faces of Thedas" supplement for it, too!
Several other games on my list - Mordheim, the new update for Shadowrun Online, and I wanted to take a look back at MWO now that Community Warfare has launched and the Draconis Combine needs my support, but I just can't find the game.
Eh, better to have a few games on the backburner than not knowing what to play, I guess.
