I've finished Empire at War now (well, I suppose I could still do the Empire story mission).

Forces of Corruption was hilarious at the end with the story ending on a pointless non existing sequel hook final scene.

I'm now, as I'm waiting for my new computer to turn up, playing Don't Starve. Well, I was, then I died and it seems that I need to start all over again from the beginning. So, bleh, stuff that.

@Compel: I actually kinda liked empire at war but as i said before the zann consortium is so ridiculously OP in skirmish games of any kind.

As for sequels that won't happen i'm still wishing 'Freedom Fighters 2' would come out or another game in the 'jedi knight' series. No matter how hard i wish it won't happen though which is kinda sad.

There is not this idea.

I've got a long trip coming up, and wanted to find something non-intensive that I can mess around with on my laptop for the times I'm not driving. Diablo II seems like a good idea right now.

I recommend the Tropico series for that.

I know I've brought up mobile games a bunch of times...but Marvel Future Fight on iOS is pretty much the mobile equivalent of Marvel Ultimate Alliance. It scratches the Marvel ARPG itch, has "energy exhaustion", but you can go above your starting energy with ease, you can "auto win" levels you've gotten perfect 3-star scores on already, and you can even have the computer grind for you if you want to do the level grinds in a place you really can't: work, driving, etc. Just get the computer to play for you. Honestly, it's the mobile game I've been waiting for. And the roster is huge. You can boost characters how you want with gems, so if I had a Captain America with health, damage boost and crit, somebody else could have a Cap with speed, damage reduction and dodge bonuses. Really puts the rules into the hands of the players. For a mobile game, it's really well thought out. And the FTP charges are quite reasonable. Give it a shot. I'd be surprised if any fans of MUA hate it.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Just got done with one of my war battles for a Clan War we're in right now for Clash of Clans. Got 2 out of 3 stars ... 96% damage... just didn't have enough dps... I saw the enemy base do something I've never seen before where they had a delayed release of troops. I always assumed troops just spilled out automatically once some detect you. fethed up a potential 3 star 100% damage attack. One of my better attacks with the method I was using but still so fething close. Apparently the delayed troop thingie isn't new but I just was always lucky enough (or ignorant enough) never to have experienced (or notice) it.

I'm mostly playing FUT now. Got my hands on Walcott, Özil, Remy as an attacking trio. Managed to get Mertesacker, Huth, Alderweireld, and Weidenfeller in the defence. Pretty happy with how it's progressing. Tempted to get Lewandowski next, or Immoble.

Ok now that just sounded dirty ;P.

Stacks are the experience bonuses in the game right?

Hmm, might have to go and download that now. I was hesitant with Marvel free games ever since Contest of Champions turned out to be a poor man's Injustice:GAU (not that it's bad in and of itself, but compared to Injustice it's not great). I did love Ultimate Alliance, so off to the app store I go...

Life is Strange, Attila Total War and Fallout New Vegas.

New Vegas is fun, loving the wild west theme and desert setting much more so than the Washington wasteland setting of Fallout 3. Fallout 3 with its large swathes of dense urban ruins (the south eastern corner of the map) always felt too claustrophobic to me, but New Vegas with its vast open deserts feels more reminiscent of Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Skyrim.

Well I went ahead and ordered my new computer and the new video card comes with a copy of the witcher 3, so I might end up playing that. I never was able to get into the witcher 2 inspite of two solid tries. It's a mix of a affably bad opening and nihilist tone that puts me off.

Funnily enough, I was always disappointed that Fallout 3 didn't have enough city terrain.

Oh I agree, the actual DC ruins are fairly small in size (probably because most of it was nuked to oblivion ). I was talking more about personal preference - I enjoyed it more when I was out and about exploring the open expanse of the wasteland itself, rather than the DC ruins. The DC ruins often felt frustrating to me - too linear. I didn't like being forced to take long, long...long detours through Metro tunnels to get to my destination. It doesn't help that I'm a bit of a kleptomaniac in Bethesda games. I loot everything, explore every nook and cranny, and scour every place clean before I move on. Thats how I make my riches - by returning home and selling off my accumulated crap in bulk.

Being forced to go from A to C to X to P to B, when I just want to go from A to B drives me up the wall.

Its the same reason why I disliked the Markarth region in Skyrim, but loved the open expanses of Whiterun, Falkreath and Dawnstar.

So the vast open desert of New Vegas suits me just fine.

I just started another campaign in DOW soulstorm. It's a good game, but the way the tau army is depicted has always annoyed me. Crisis suits are big lumbering things, instead of fast an agile. Hammerheads and crisis suits are restricted to mont'ka, when they are used in kauyon as well, they are often the trap. And the idea of mont'ka and kauyon being this"one or the other" thing is annoying as well, the best tau commanders slide effortlessly from one tactic to another, that's one of the reasons puretide was so good. I really see no reason for their to be the separate tech trees as well, no other army forces you to do that IIRC.

Well, I downloaded it, and I'm finding the whole thing strangely addictive. It really does have that Ultimate Alliance feel, and given the huge character count (although I can see it being a slog to get some of them) looks like there will be plenty of replay ability.

And it's free! What more can you ask?

Started playing Tropico 5 again, and Planetside 2 pretty frequently.

On a side note Ark Survival Evolved might get my No More Early Access ban lifted. Damn that looks good.

1600LY out into the cosmos, and getting further away all the time. Such a wonderful feeling to be leaving all the <Expletive Deleted> that I work with so very, very far away.

And when Elite Dangerous won't play due to connection issues, I got the Witcher and witcher 2 from Steam for the princely sum of £3. 28 and it's not too shabby. Kinda kicking myself for having made the story potion when I was able, and not having made the one that gives me a bonus bronze that I could have used to upgreade the character, but hey ho.

Started playing Pillars Of Eternity last nigth, and I must say I really like the feel of the game. Great story if somewhat messy until chapter two kicks in.
One thing I really dislike however is the steep difficulty lvl when it comes to enemies, I dont mind a challenge but throwing a damned Drake, or a city block stuffed to the rafters with Undead horros are a bit too much. THat and I wish that the stronghold was a bit more useful when it comes to generating cold cash, since I need vast amounts to properly gear up my party
