I did some DoW DC with my friend EvergreenArcher, and, like usual, we had a great time killing whatever was sent our way. However, we did uncover the sheer tankiness of a glitches necron overlord who is at -10,800 health and cannot move besides teleporting. I only hope the Necron Overlord that Relic is adding to DoW II won't be as tanky.

Late game is boring. Also it's true that henchmen begin to mostly suck as compared to heroes and your leader. Later game is just finding spellbooks to boost your late tier items with and very slowly unlocking rewards with wyrdstone buyers by leveling up your rep with them.

Playing through Valkyria Chronicles. Rather nice game so far. I like how the shooter elements work with the strategy mechanics, and the story's pretty good as well.

Picked up Mordheim on a 50% deal and have to say am pretty disappointed with it. Was really hoping that they would have done what they did with Bloodbowl and have a version of the actual game rules in the game, but instead they have gone for a halfway house that captures the worst of both worlds; for the most part the tactic just seems to be load all of your characters on 1 enemy, kill them and then move on.

Also, I don't know if it's just the loss of translation from table to game, but it just seems to be so drab, and have about 10% of the imagery, character and energy that the tabletop game used to have. Crappy interface, camera and view as well, reminds me of playing the first 3d games years ago when the camera was getting lodged behind scenery and killed you.

It's alright but late game is boring as I said. I should probably try the empire faction. I've only done skaven up to this point. They have some enjoyable guns I hear (including hunting rifle which is like a sniper rifle and blunderbuss which is AoE).

Started a new game in Icewind Dale 1, and decided to do a elf only party. Now this seemed like a good idea but when you realize that you need to pay an arm and a leg to have one of your fallen compatriots raised from the dead before your cleric gets the proper spells....Then it gets more challenging. But anyhow, so far I have gotten to Kuldahar and have sorted out the Vale of shadows, and are now diving into the troll infested parts of the game. Really glad I decided to have two paladins in my party, as their ability to use fire based skills realy helps. Also having a skilled thief helps as always. Have also been very lucky with my loot finding, found a pair of enchanted suits of Plate mail after a hard battle against the hordes of undead in the mentioned vale of shadows.
This is my party build for this particular play.

Ashwan (Elven Paladin)
Specialized in longswords and sword and shield

Isha(Elven Paladin )
Great sword specialized, and with some points put towards making her more dureabler in combat, same goes for her male counterpart.

Valeria(Elven Figther )
Alround type of characther, with some points put towards buffs of various nature.

Astrubal(Elven cleric)
Armed with a bow and loaded for support and healing. Wanting to find him some good hammer or morning star but no luck so far.

Eshwan(Elven thief)
Typical thief, loads of points put towards trap finding and stealth. armed with a enchanted crossbow and a pair of daggers for backstabing if need be.

Gwaldur(Elven sorcerer)
I have given him as much as possible in the way of magical trickets and a pretty decent mage robe that I found. I wanted this to be my crowd control charcther, so loads of AoE spells and other high powerd spells for quickly knocking down swarms of enemies before they overwhelm my front line characthers.

Don't tempt me back to IWD/BG

Sounds like a neat party, I always liked themed groups. Sure, balanced parties have an better time of it but with a theme you get to struggle against your weaknesses and revel in the ease with which you curbstomp the things you're good at. Sorcerer was probably a good choice, I've only played IWD to about the point you mentioned...but if IWD2 is anything to go by...they're gonna be pretty stingy with viable scrolls for your wizard(s) to learn. Hmm yeah, IWD definitely seems like better sorcerer/avenger druid territory.

Personally, still playing pokemon games on my phone. I'm giving Light Platinum a bit of a break as the second half of the journey is a bit tedious and you don't get the fun of starting over with a new team, everything is middle+ levels so if you want to use any new dudes you find you've got to grind them forever. May go back and finish it sometime as it still has an interesting array of dudes (I think the writer painstakingly imported critters from back/white and possibly x/y, even though the game itself is based on a generation 2 or 3 rom). But anyway.. started Emerald and I'm having fun with that. Whereas light platinum tends to hand out reasonably rare/high base stats pokemon (but very little access to pokeballs early in the game), I've been able to go back to a 'catch em all' approach with Emerald where I can weed out the weakest ones and hand pick the best/my favorites. I dunno if I'm gonna get anything cool like Tyranitar or Hydraegon in this run so I picked up an Aron/Aggron and was happy to find a Skarmory too, nice tough defensive dudes. I also put in the effort to level up a Gyrados because useless fish turning into badass sea monster is always fun, and you've gotta have at least one water type to use all of the 'getting around' moves anyway. Torchic/Blazekin seemed like the coolest starter (like fighting) and I'm giving a Sableye a provisional slot because of it's nearly unique type and distinct lack of weaknesses (but it's stats kind of suck so he may not make the long haul). Most excited, however, about the Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir, which is probably my favorite pokedude for whichever reason. I was hoping to evolve the boy version with arm-swords too but I guess that's just in the newer games. One thing they didn't have in the Light Platinum was bikes, and moving that much faster is a good thing.

You know you want to go back to the wilderness and slay Orcs and Bugbears

But yes, I have always liked to make the game a bit more intresting & challenging by making themed parties as you say, Elfs are devestatigly good with bows and sword alongside magic. But suffer from being somewhat frail until you are properly leved up, and equiped. And yes, the sorcerer is far superiour to the wizzard in any shape or form, unless we are talking high level Drow wizzards Vs regular Sorcerers since they recive a rather hefty bonus to that class if you roll them as males.
But if one is determined to use a wizzard I would highly recomend taking a few AoE spells for your Clerics. Since clerics can punch far above their own weigth when using said spells. As far as IWD 2 are concerd they are around the same lvl when it comes to stingynes with scrolls but they are more often than not cheaper to purchase and drop more often than in IWD 1.

Finishing up Fallout 4 to 100% achievement status before the DLC comes out (pesky BOS ending).

Think I'm going to start Life is Strange, seeing as a picked it up for $10 on Xbox Live today. They've been doing some pretty timely sales, at least for me.

I just want you guys to know xcom 2 ironman is absolute bull ****. If you lose on the final mission like if your commander gets singled out and killed then you lose period. That isn't so bad in other games where there are saves but in ironman it updates constantly and if you fail on the last mission it updates to the failure showing the cutscene so you can never reload that last turn and the game is failed period. Oddly it showed xcom winning and then losing in my campaign (I killed 2 of the 3 avatars and knocked the 3rd down to 1 hp). So if you do lose the commander it's auto-fail with no returns. Regardless of how well you did or if the last avatar was 1 hp from death like with me or if your squad could've wiped out the last avatar. If your commander dies game over period. I lost hours of many days into that commander difficulty on ironman mode putting care into everything even getting screwed by a glitch where your specialist can feedback to death. Everything in the normal game was certain that I'd win. I win the radio relay no damage taken. Last fight of last game with one last avatar down to 1 hp and lose. I lose the whole game. That is so absurdly BS. Even the temple ship fight in enemy unknown allowed restarts whether ironman mode or not. This just flips you off with both hands and jams it down you where the sun don't shine. Seriously I'm so pissed I could punch into a wall right now.

So your pissed because the game beat you? And its how Iron man should be, if you ask me. And honneslty anyone still playing Xcom 2 still? After the sheer mass of bugs that has apperared after the last patch

No I was mad because the temple run had no restart button so one crap turn cost me the whole game period. That never happened in enemy unknown. Also normally the xcom 2 game allows final mission restarts but that one didn't. The game in a way did not beat me. Besides I had a friend teasing me the whole way (before I lost and after I lost) because he's an awful friend like that.
