I hope you washed your hands after that!

It's going to be one funky-looking unit when it's got some paint on it. Makes me want to paint my own Nurgle stuff. That's the problem with this forum and you guys. There's too much inspiration!

I know what you mean every time I Iook at your thread I want to start painting my KoW minis

--------------

Here's the rest of the gang in no particular order, they all still need GS to make the parts blend together.

Talk to the hand, er paw what went wrong there...

How many barrels am I going to need?

Tomorrow is painting day for the monthly unofficial dakka painting comp, then hopefully Friday is Plague Marine build day.

Then on the weekend I hope to GS them all and maybe get the bases done so they are ready for undercoating.

I'd just keep adding barrels in concentric rings until the whole thing touches the ground...

Nice work matey!

This mornings update as there could be another this afternoon, is my finished entry for the unofficial Dakka painting comp.

Lucas Mccabe from Malifaux, the rest of his gang will follow after all the Nurgle stuff is finished.

I also have the mini I painted for another comp on a different forum that's doing really bad so I thought I'd post him as well.

Necromunda Scavvy.

I'm off to build some Plague Marines now.

A big update today that consists of last Sunday and this weekends work.

To start off we have the Spellcrow Nurgle back packs that I picked up, notice how they are attached to the sprue I had to resculpt all of the tops of the back packs.

Here's all the parts for the Plague Marines

Plague Marine squad one pre GS

Plague Marine squad two pre GS and arms for the Plasma guys as I was missing two at that point in time last Sunday. They are also joined by the Infinity Joan of Arc model who decided she wanted to be put together.

I also while things were glueing put together Ah Chu Kuk from the Kuklkani faction from Dark Age.

Getting the GS on with some more Kuklkani and Wood Elves in amongst the rabble some where.

Oblits all GS'd up

Oblits based

Then after that all the Nurgle guys were primed white today which brings us upto date.

I did manage to paint one completely unrelated mini while getting other stuff done this weekend but his weathering powder is still drying, I'll show you him soon.

Cheers Nash, good to see you about.

Yeah I don't know what it is, I think I lack inspiration to paint 40K without a tournament coming up, then when one does I have too much to paint that I want to use

Currently trying to get the basics done on one guy a night and then fill in the details and paint weapons on the weekend starting from tonight, it's a hard life but It's possible.

I always find until a deadline appears I am really lax in motivation. Then once it starts to get close I am able to kick into high gear and achieve the goal. I wouldn't be surprised if that is most people. Hence why I often set myself tight deadlines.

I always love seeing the Nurgle stuff. I'm kind of surprised that you didn't mix more Spellcrow bits in with the FW parts.

Yeah sometimes its that little push thats needed.

Nurgle is quite fun to do, I didnt want to pick up anymore spellcrow bits as they are expensive, the two squads cost enough with the spellcrow back packs, the FW kit, tactical squad and extra plasma guns

That's a hefty amount of stuff to paint in such a short time. Best of luck with it - but make sure you keep us updated as you work your way through them!

That ought to be the case anyway purely on the grounds of him being named "Chicken-Flamer Head."

Very true

Solar_lion wrote:'Chicken Head Flamer' Sure to be a classic if not favored by his god!

I'm sure he would be more favoured by Tzeentch but never mind, Papa Nurgle excepts all into his embrace.

Azazelx asked for some updates so this is day three, what I have let myself in for

Thanks Azazelx, I'm going to never want to paint Death Guard again after this, I did the same thing with my Sisters army, hmm and my original Dark Wolves army as well, I sense a theme here.

Here's the guy for day four, his weapon fell off but its just a flesh wound

I won't be painting tomorrow night as me and the dogs have a film night on Friday

There should be lots of progress this weekend as its a Bank Holiday for us on Monday

They are looking fantastic and your progress is moving along well. A day off sounds like a great opportunity to push through another model or two (or three?)

That's quite a bit to get painted! What you have painted looks good though. I like the bell you have on the one guy. Is it a Skaven bit?

Close Azazelx, but its actually from the Blightkings box.

Medium of Death wrote:I love those Oblits. Good mix of parts makes them feel right at home in the 41st Millennium.

Thanks I'm looking forward to painting them.

------------------------------------

Today I've been working on the first squad of Plague Marines they are nearly there now just a few bits I've missed that need doing and the Plasma glow.

Oh and the bases, mustn't forget them.

I also have the mini I was painting from last weekend while glue and spray were drying. This is another mini from Darklands called Baagath, Gabrax Gultain of the Fomoraic faction.

Hopefully another update tomorrow

That Darklands goatman would be a fantastic beastman stand in for Warhammer. Do they have much of a range of fellow goat headed warriors?
