Gorgeous model.
That pose will take an angled pin up through the bottom of the base and into that touching foot.

I feel as though I am going against the crowd on this one, I am really not a fan of the sculpt.
He seems as though he is posed in an awkward fashion, but I can't really put my finger on it. Not making me want to start MO in my opinion.

Pinning has to become a way of life when you start collecting Infinity figs. Some lines less than others. Of course it's worth it for the quality of the figs, and is the small price you have to pay for not having giant-hammy- GW-hands-and-heads.
The poor buggers who go with Aleph have to pin -everything- on the Dakini bots or they break with great ease, though. And apparently the Uberfallkommando require pinning but have very slim extremities, so I've heard from several folks who have pinned with bits of wire etc.
Even in the Yu Jing line, I'm spending a good hour or two pinning some Karikiri together this weekend. I started by just gluing one of them, then realized there was no way that all those slim joints would stand up to battlefield abuse, etc.
So if you start collecting Infinity, get reeeeeal comfortable with your pin vise because you'll be using it for about 1/4 to 1/8th of your collection. Those crusader backpack vents definitely merit a pin.

I haven't pinned a single Infinity fig, and that includes models with some ricidulously fragile connection points like the BS Fiday, Spitfire Muyib and Panzerfaust Ghulam (both arms on that model are very fragile). I generally find Infinity figs to have joints just too small to pin. I find good army transport and not using the models as soccer balls helps with them not breaking.

For many figures, you really don't have to outright pin the model's feet. Cut the base's "tab" into a small triangular or rectangular shape and drill a comparable hole in the base. Then, you have a tab and slot!

I just glue them into slottabases, which I sand, paint and flock normally. I dunno, I just don't like all these overly complicated bases; it detracts attention away from the model. I've also always hated the really tall bases, because it looks like you're compensating for something.
Once I managed to assemble my Haqq remotes, I was glad that I just converted to a magnetised transportation solution. Since my models are not being carried in foam, but stand upright on a metal sheet inside a box, there shouldn't be any risk of the aerials snapping off during transport...

Yes I would probably put a hole in the base of his foot, then one in the base, add a paperclip and job done. Looking at the posts above it seems opinions differ on how much pinning is necessary with Infinity models. From my own experience, I have only had to pin perhaps 1 out of 10 models usually - a decent contact area, well prepared, with a good super glue and it shouldn't be necessary in most cases.

Yes I can see what you mean, although do you realise the context of the miniature in that he is a drop trooper coming in to land?
I think that is one of the things of trying a more dynamically styled sculpt - yes it would be very easy to just model everything stood there with a gun, but then arguably you would be denied the likes of Bran De Castro, Saito Togan and Cassandra Kusanagi. Occasionally you do get a misfire though (wulver vaulting the wall springs to mind) and obviously the more dynamic pose leaves more open to subjective opinion I think.

Yeah I understand the context of the mini, I just don't like the look of the cocked leg just before he lands. If the leg was positioned closer to the body it would be a great improvement aesthetically IMO.

In a similar pose to the Ekdromoi?

To me the Ekdromoi looks like he (she?) is coming down almost vertically, perhaps even gently. Certainly the pose and gait is more relaxed.
I can imagine the Crusader coming in at speed and from an angle, perhaps even to slide to a halt. It's a hard landing and so his legs are more spread to ensure he stops without going sprawling over the pavement, and his HMG is already up and ready to shoot within moments of landing. At least that's my take on it! Even though they are both drop troopers coming in to land, their poses and aspect are quite different - the Crusader looks a lot more aggressive.

One easy way to modify posing is to just lean things one way or another. Lean the HMG guy back a bit and it'll look like the jets are still bearing a bit of the weight.

There is an attitude that not having an insanely optimized, one shot, six stage, omnidirectional, inevitable, mousetrap of an assassin list army somehow means that you have foolishly wasted your life building 500 points of pure, 24 karat, hand rolled, fine, cuban fail. That attitude has been shown, under laboratory conditions, to cause cancer of the fun gland.

Not substantially bigger, the gun barrel is the most critical part in its length, that been said, it is a healthy 5mm longer than a modern era combi rifle.

You're not making me very happy, it must be said! I've noticed that the cases don't respond to sharp knocks very well, at least not like my GW cases which can take a total battering. However I've also noticed that Saladin's sword was getting badly bent by my GW case, which made me sad. I got the idea to use this technique more due to my Fantasy army - I could see no feasible way to transport 12 chariots, a Necrosphinx and 6 Necropolis Knights in foam cases. At least not for sane money.
What kind of metal sheeting did your friend use?

I think CB is scaling back some (all?) of the larger weapon sizes a bit. I think it is a trend that's going to continue forward...

As someone who very recently bought the rule book and is trying to figure out what faction to start with, that is great news. One of the things that attracts me to Infinity is realistic weapons and figures instead fo the guys and gals with SUPER GUNZZ that a real person could never effectively use in combat.
