No, I get it just fine.

And like I just said:
We do not have enough information regarding the make-up of the Military Orders to judge one way or the other. They could have female members. It's up to Corvus Belli.

And quite frankly? I see no issue with PanOceania having all male Military Orders.
You don't see male Moiras, Custodiers, or Riot Grrls now do you? So why is it okay for the Nomads to have three units within a Sectorial that are exclusively female but not okay for PanOceania to have a Sectorial that is exclusively male?

Aside from thousands of years of patriarchal domination? Nothing, I guess.

Yeah, because clearly everyone who wants "Female Wulvers" or "Female Knights" are concerned with gender equality and redressing the wrongs of a patriarchal centric society.

It has nothing to do with the constant fanwank art that gets circulated of scantily clad "concepts" that then get defended as "Because anime!".

Anybody said anything about scantily clad knights?

I think if you ever read my and other comments on the forum it talks about "same as male knights"

The observance is a matriarchal society that, surprise surprise has male members, the only other all female unit you can find are Odalisques who are a model bodyguard unit (must quickly add that I almost forgot riot grrls who are a bit of the sameish but less deep in the background).

There is no real reason why Military Orders should be all male in a sci fi background set 175 years in the future with a radically altered church as there should be no reason to not have female woulvers, been sterile is logical, I am surprised dog warriors are not, but only male woulvers been born, it is a bit extreme.

In any case for me its my personal preference to have models of both genders in sci fi as it makes more sense (to me) than having single gender forces.

Edit
I do not mean CB should drawn us if female knights, but a few would not be bad.

Agreed, for the Wulvers its a bit of a grey area, for all we know they might be a pack of raging transsexual deviants! On the other hand if we are to believe that the Knightly orders are descended from their namesakes in the past, and from a Christian-influenced determination of the male/female role, then female knights might look a little out of place (with the exception of Joan of Arc of course )

Not to say that something couldn't be worked out - some kind of light-infantry knight as a medic or other support role (in a kind of supplicants lighter armour?) might look pretty cool, and still be in keeping with the idea.

Well we do know that the Military Orders are Private Military Companies of the church, "given" (or forced if you ask the higher ups) in the PanOceania military, they have no connection or relation to the military orders of the past, beyond the names.

Yeah...let's not bother with that garbage here, shall we?

It's already been debunked for all intents and purposes that the image used to support the argument (of the Knight Santiago) is a man, not a woman.
We still don't have enough information regarding the Military Orders to justify or preclude female knights. If Corvus Belli wants to do them or does not want to do them--they'll do as they damned well please. We don't need another obnoxious "campaign" like the Female Wulvers one.

Where did they say that the Knight in the picture is a man?]

IRC there is no official stance on it I do know the speculation on the firing Hospitalers gender is as long as the picture exists and the conclusion from fans is almost always female.

That been said I feel we have veered way of course, sorry for that.

I'm perfectly calm. I am however tired of the hypocritical garbage that gets espoused by the Infinity community when it comes to the presence of things that certain members like which relate to "anime" stylization v. "realistic" stylization.

Heavens forbid that a faction have a Sectorial which doesn't run to the pin-up poster for their models.

They already have what amounts to that idea in the Military Orders.

They're called "Order Sergeants", and one of the models is in fact a female. The "Order Sergeants" are not knights, technically speaking, but they are professional military(read: Fusiliers) who have either been retired or seconded to the Church and a specific Military Order to serve as a support troop.

We all understand that Kan hates certain Anime/Cheesecake elements in Infinity.

We all understand that CB likes to sell models, and probably has a good idea on what sells and what doesn't.

We should all agree to not bait Kan, and Kan should agree to just shrug and move on when encountering females models he doesn't like, and minimize (eliminate?) the ranting about them.

In my defense I did not try to bait him, FKN is an active campaign we have.

No worries - I was not saying anyone was trying to baiting him this time, and to be honest, he's a bit overly sensitive on the whole issue.

And no-one mentioned that all of the Combined Army Zerat models are girls, and all other morat models are guys, simply because "Zerat" is the Morat word for "Female"? Shame.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

That's excusable. The entire Morat society is almost primitive in all ways except technology. Plus they're aliens and the "bad guys" in a way if you don't pity the fact that their entire race has been enslaved.

They could have gone a more Predator/Klingon route and made them equal, but they decided to go the route of Orks and make them pretty much all Boyz.

I am afraid Zerat does not mean female morat that's Mobat (she who kills with the left) Rat means he who kills with the lest

Zerat is the silent stealthy killer, which to morats are synonymous to female warrior (I don't know why its not Zebat though) in the background there is the odd male in these regiments, but Morats are mostly not fitting for stealth or recon roles.

I would guess the distinction comes from the traditional Morat hunting parties, the females are the trackers and herders while males are the ones to confront the prey ones it has been tracked and herded in their ambush.

I am assuming a bit here, but for Morats there seems to be little to no distinction between male and female members beyond tradition and the units description so far leave it open for Morats of both gender to be included in any unit.

From old background though, if you want the toughest and meanest morat, look for the females, they even comprise the majority of army instructors putting discipline to new unruly recruits.

Somewhere in south-central England.

They should do a definitive set of female holy warrior monk knights, but call them something different to knights. Sisters of Battle, maybe.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Since the military orders are neither holly or monks, I can't see that.

So according to the post on the CB forum, the reason there are no female knights sculpts is because the sculptors haven't done one, yet.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

Yes, never assign to malice what can be assigned to lazyness, budget constraint or incompetence.

That being said, I'm not much for an anime vibe, which is why I didn't paint my PanO in full-glorious-glowing-stuff like their drawings are. I'd like female minis that are SUBTLY female. The combat heels... I'm not feeling them so much. Boob-plate is a bit of a let-down, honestly.

I dare anyone to release sisters of battle at this point...

The great thing is that Infinity caters for both tastes well. I'm enjoying the very anime style females right now as it's not something I've had the opportunity to work with before. Once I'm done I'll probably look into the more androgynous sculpts. Both styles have a lot of merit.

Yup absolutely.. I kind of like the cheeky anime vibe to some of the stuff (and I have a Nomad force that's full of the cheesiest examples), but on the other hand the more serious-style sci-fi also has an appeal. Making a 'mercenary' Haq-islam force at the moment that's built up of Kaplan, Djanbazan and other 'Metal Gear Solid bad guy' style miniatures.

On a few occasions I think they've also managed to bridge those two design aesthetics; the Haqqislam Lasiq and that new Aleph biker-chick being some of the best examples!

Yeh good shout, there are some wonderful meeting points of the two styles. Nomads are even a nice area where the styles can meet within the fluff; the anime style being a fashionable look and living in a place where bodymorphs come in all varieties.

...we may have ventured off topic.
