Let's be fair. The Morat Aggression Force were in more or less the same rut that Corregidor was in, lacking a "unique" unit for the boxed set and essentially already having their own starter set in the form of the main faction starter.

I'm predicting/speculating, personally, that the Morat Aggression Force box is going to be within the next year or so and feature resculpted Daturazi and Morat Vanguard...but that requires Corvus Belli redoing the original Combined Army starter set since there'd be a two model difference between the MAF starter and the CA one.

I would not be surprised to see a Suryat boxed set this year though.

Some factions have that technology already (PanOceania). In the INFINITY world it is called "Ghost Presence".

In fact, the pinnacle of T.A.G. technology, the mighty JOTUM, is remote operated.

GET INTO IT!

As for your other stuff - sure, I guess, why not?

I know about G-presence… Drone run works and would probably be the standard if “Mecha” were real I think.
But
No one answered my question.
If another miniature game came out with Masamune Shirow style mecha in the same vein as Infinity TAGs which is a clone of landmate designs how would that be received?

Would people say “Oh cool!” or say “Stop Ripping off Infinity!”

I’m very very interested in what this group thinks of that idea…

let me know how this group of people would feel about somethinglike that.

It depends on the design, not the theory. Show us a design.

Though, let's be honest... there are people out there who still think that GW's Tau Crisis Suits look like Gundams. Appleseed is pretty obscure outside of anime communities. So, expect some people to say the design rips off Infinity even if it doesn't. But I'd like to see this in a separate thread. With pictures.

"Oh Cool" Would be my response; more the merrier in my opinion.

Knowing the internet, they would say both (and sometimes, both statements on the same person). And other people will defend the new mecha, saying that Infinity copied from various sources anyway.

See how the internet reacts to GW and 3rd party sources, or stuff that can be used for GW armies like Mantic's line. Some people love it, others think they should stop "ripping off" GW, and some people defend it because GW copied other sources in the first place.

I think people would probably mostly say 'oh cool!', but why not try starting a thread on this topic in the Infinity section as it will get more discussion (this thread is for people to get distracted by the new, shiny things! )

Quick query, is there any 3rd Highland Greys box on the horizon? Or is that so far away in the distance that it is irrelevant.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

I wouldn't crtiticize it, in the same way I don't criticize fantasy for having Elves. I don't say "Oh look, they are ripping off WFB" or "Hey look they are ripping off Tolkien". If I liked the minis, it would be great. If I didn't, then I would just ignore the game. I'm not into Battletech, WarmaHordes, AT-43, and such. The minis are not interesting enough to me, but I don't speak bad about them because I don't know the games.

OK then.

It looks like I was right on about them being Nomad mercs. The weapons are definitely Nomad. I'm willing to bet they will be used General Nomads, Corregidor, and QK.

Weapons in Merc models say nothing really, mercs get to buy whatever weapons they can find/ afford.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Feuerbach Sogarat, Kurgat w. Shotgun, 3x Daturazi, Vanguard. That's my guess.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

IMO, I think looking at a blend of the Steel Phalanx and the new Corregidor box is a better idea in terms of how the Morat starter would be.

You'll likely see a character, a specialist, another specialist, and then three Vanguard resculpt models.

My own prediction/guess?
Kornak
Rasyat with Boarding Shotgun(or a Combi Rifle resculpt)
Kurgat with Boarding Shotgun
Two Vanguard models with Combi Rifles
A Vanguard model with Missile Launcher

well thanks for the anwsers... and letting me derail the topic for a sec. it was what I figured.

I don't have anything to show but I know some guys working on something Infinity fans might like. I'll see if they want to post or let me post.

the new tag is Dope! I'm still waiting for the Ulan but I will buy that.

Kanluwen... Why you change from Destiny to Titanfall?
too bad Titanfall will be Xbox-one only

The Uhlan shares a chassis with the Seraph, if I remember right. I would not be surprised to see a box with the ability to make either option.

Going off-topic real quickly:

Kanluwen... Why you change from Destiny to Titanfall?

Was digging through my cache of concept art/promo material until I found one I liked. Just so happened that the Titan Pilot looks nice.

too bad Titanfall will be Xbox-one only

PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 are the platforms it is confirmed for at the moment.

Back on-topic:
I get a shiny box today, which arrives in time for the Infinity painting contest...which is absolutely surprising!

Summer comes to Infinity!

This year Infinity offers you more news! As summer and the holidays are coming, the season of conventions and tournaments starts. To celebrate this, from today until September 15th, all players who participate in Official Tournaments will get 500 extra ITS points for tournaments. Completely free!

These extra points will be received automatically each time an Official Tournament is reported. This is an automatic procedure, and no special effort is required from tournament organizers.

Infinity Artbook One

This year you will have the chance to delve deep inside the visual aspects of the Infinity universe. Infinity Artbook One is a book full of previous sketches, development designs, final artwork and unreleased stuff.

In this book you will find out how the concept design process of some of your favorite miniatures was developed. But not only that, would you like to witness the evolution of the Stingray T.A.G. series? Do you want to know how the final design of the Tohaa was reached? Are you asking yourself about what concept designs of Lucien Sforza were rejected? In this book you will get all those answers and even more. In the next few weeks we will provide you more information about Infinity Artbook One. Keep connected!

Price update

From July 15th a small price update will be made to compensate for the increase in price of raw materials and production costs. Following our commitment to keep prices as low as possible this update will be smaller than the previous one, and some products will not be affected by it.

Infinity Bootleg

This summer a new brand of miniatures starts: Infinity Bootleg. This new figures series has been specially conceived for collectors and painters and will go further beyond the miniatures game, allowing our designers and sculptors to unleash their artistic skills. From T.A.G. pilots to sexy maintenance technicians, and more, much, much more. Infinity Bootleg has a whole universe to explore!

Gen Con Indy

Corvus Belli comes back to Gen Con Indy!

We are hoping to welcome you to our booth so you can meet two of Infinity’s creators and founders of Corvus Belli. This year you can meet Fernando Liste, our CEO and also a sculptor, and Carlos Torres, Art Director, concept designer, sculptor and member of the game development team.

To celebrate this event, a pre-release of the Anaconda Squadron will be made available in our booth. This is a totally new Mercenary unit, composed of a T.A.G. and its pilot, which comes with special rules to play with both figures. This product is not scheduled for release until end of the year, so this will be your chance to get it before anyone! Don’t be lazy, and hurry up, as the stock will be limited!

And don’t forget that all of you are encouraged to Infinity cosplay and if you come to our booth to show it off, you will receive one of the monthly new releases completely free of charge!

Don’t miss this chance and come meet us at #633 booth!

True story. A little price hike won't phase me that's for sure, they charge a very reasonable price for a very excellent product.
