OK, thanks for the answers. It's a neat idea: Infinity already has good miniatures, and this provides a release path for stuff that is a bit more detailed, complex, and/or just doesn't have a game rule by default. Neat.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

The bootleg stuff is a great idea. The Mag pilot will definitely see table time for me (if the Mag ever gets blown up). The hard part is figuring out how to base it, as the only way I can see is base it as normal and if anyone asks wht there's a TAG cockpit on the ground, I'll just say it ejected.

But they've mentioned other stuff for the bootleg line I can't wait for, in particular The Old Man of the Mountain, the Hassassin leader. There will never be in game stats for him because he never leaves his base of operations, so getting a model of such an iconic fluff character is awesome.

I'm really excited for The Old Man of the Mountain too! At the same time I'm a little worried it breaks the mystery element though. We shall see how they go about it.

Just got my Artbook, and the only sensible thing I can say about it is 'OMFGROFLCOPTER!'

Absolutely bloody brilliant. Loads of new artwork, varied from the miniature 'concepts' (that we often see displayed), from individual units to action scenes, even pictures of 'life in the infinity universe' (A Yu-Jing trooper eye-scanning a citizen in a crowded street scene being a favourite of mine). If you had been sitting on the fence about it, would thoroughly recommend it.

Yup.. as a longtime Haqq players its a bit shameful that I don't have the Maghariba TAG yet, with the pilot mini out will probably getting the 2 of them together in an order at some point. Entirely reasonable to assume that the little cockpit piece could launch out the top of the vehicle as it was destroyed

My book just came in today too, though I won't actually be able to look at it until tomorrow. I was surprised because I got mine from The Warstore, but they didn't send me any notices that it had arrived or that it was shipped. All I got was a notice from UPS that I had a package coming and it didn't say where it was coming from or what it was. Plus coming from Spark, Nevada kind of confused me as well.

They are now officially in stock at The Warstore.

Spark, Nevada is where they have their secondary warehouse.

That's good to know because I also got mine from the Warstore and did get a notification it shipped with tracking number and was trying to figure out why it started in Nevada. *zooms to check tracking* Woot, mine is waiting for me a day earlier then scheduled... I'll be in my bunk.

Oh yeah, it's worth noting that right now The Warstore has "GoGo Marlene" for sale by herself for $9.99 if anyone wanted her.

She is actually quite a nice little mini. Will probably paint her up to use alongside my Nomads as she seems to fit the style quite well.

Really impressed with the prints as well, couple of them are going to get framed and go on the wall in the man-cave for sure.

New Profile's been posted for Miranda Ashcroft. Not a bad figure at all! Interesting to note that she can be used in any ITS non-sectoral, non alien list.

Yep. She's basically a "named" Authorized Bounty Hunter and they are only usable by non-Sectorial/human only lists.

So she doesn't have booty? I thought that was the whole point of her...

Lol, I'm guessing that the intended meaning of the above post is likely different to the one that popped into my head first based off of the typical CB posing of female characters in both infinity concept art and minis.

But he brings up a valid point.

The (supposedly) intended reason for the Bounty Hunters was to counteract the fact that "generic" lists did not have the same drawing power as a Sectorial list.
By making it so that:
(1) No generic Bounty Hunter model released
(2) Before the release of a generic Bounty Hunter, a "special character" Bounty Hunter saw release

They have defeated the whole purpose of Bounty Hunters while not even having made a generic model available for sale.

You can use the special character as a generic and frankly she is as if she has rolled quite a few times on booty lvl 1 and 2 tables already.

I am sure we will see a more generic blister of bounty hunters later on.

But really complains over a free miniature?

Has anyone put Ashcroft together yet? How many parts does she come in? I won't get to look at my own until this weekend.

Miranda is a reward for loyal fans willing to pre-order a new product, so I really don't see a problem with releasing her before an official Bounty Hunter.

I can't speak for everyone but the draw of a sectorial for me is the unified style and the limited options like lack of MSV2s. Finding ways around the built in weaknesses feels more rewarding then having every option on hand. Adding more unit profiles isn't going to make me want to pick up a vanilla faction.

Conversion fodder! Seriously, I can't wait to see the Dire Foes noncombatants up-armored. As an ISS player who can field 3 bounty hunters at a time, I'm gonna need to mock up a few ITS-legal proxies and those civvies are looking like the right place to start.

Oh, and AShcroft can be used in a sectorial: ISS. I have a 4-bountyhunter list (Ashcroft, Sforza, 2 generics) that I'm dying to try out. Probably not the toughest customers, but they'll be fun to play with a Kuang Shi horde to give them a lot of orders.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Actually I had considered adding the word "skill", but I found it way funnier this way. I knew some fellow perv would jump to it. Kudos, you're one of us, perv.

I agree, it's a somewhat strange timing, but alas, we'll get over it.
