Anyone know the status of some of this apparently still unreleased MAS Infinity terrain?

Here is Nessaiee Alke, for starters she is a Homeriade and an nutcase, so she can have her hair in any way she likes, she and the rest of Steel Phalanx are not "soldiers" in the traditional sense but a PR machine for Aleph, that includes having looks that would attract public opinion regardless of what the military might think or how impractical they may be.

Think Kan is dead on, except replace 'stupid looking hair' to 'god-damned beautiful looking miniature!'

I wasn't sure what the mini was, so this pic courtesy of Blue Table painting:

hahahahaha...
which brings us back around to DakkaDakka...
that paintjob is by our very own Century1...
check out his P&M showcase:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/541127.page

anyone rushing off to Blue Table Painting in the hopes of getting this level of paintjob will be sorely disappointed...
though Century did almost as good a job as Angel does on the studio minis...

all the new minis are looking good...
i'm excited, as i have friends coming down in November, and i can finally get my hands on the Bootlegs...
maybe the JSA vs. Caledonia Dire Foes will be out before then...

Infinity just keeps getting cooler...

cheers

Where's the photo from? As far as I can see that's all made from existing kits.

Guys...
All that you can see in that photo is a combination of previously released Micro art Studio Products.

Those are:
The Guard House

The Objective room

The room can be assembled without the extra high walls, and that will make modular and easy to combine with other district 5 products like:

The L-Building

And the Usual Building

I don't think it is - but I could be wrong.

That big building looks 'new'.

Does the 'Objective Room' come with a roof?

It is the only MAS building I don't own...

I think it's actually the floor of the objective room and those 'side' elements between floors. could be mistaken though, don't have any MAS stuff around here to compare.

Yes, that's just the Objective Room floor.

I'm talking about the big building in the back - it looks to be significantly larger than anything else currently available.

This could be both, a new set or a combination of the old ones. I can't spot any new components, but then again not all MAS kits contain unique elements, it's more about the composition.
My guess would also be it's just great use of the kits. The big base building basically just requires 4 normal buildings to construct.
Where's the pic from anyway?

Found it on the web, surfing.

Looking at it some more, I think it might be a combo of the existing District 5 Apartment, using only the long wall sections, and then using the 'Objective Room' floor piece for both the floor and roof.

Expensive to pull off - unless you're at MAS HQ and just grab the necessary pieces!

you wouldn't need the obj. room; the 'regular' roof pieces do fit side by side if you construct something larger than 2x1 IIRC. also with a bit of creative use of glue you could likely use most of the short sections as well so it's not completely out of the realistic pricerange

The only part that it took me a while to figure out is the long wall segment with the door in the center, and that's just because I haven't purchased an Objective Room yet.

All of those parts are from existing MAS buildings, just arranged in a very creative manner.

Edit: Whoops, looks like I posted late. :(

To make one of those 'big' buildings I think you'd need 1 MAS District 5 Apartment building and 2 Objective Rooms.

So, yeah, not gonna happen!

All I can do is laugh at your foolish gamer optimism (or pessimism). Sure, you're never going to just wake up one day and realize how much terrain you have after buying "just one (little, harmless, inexpensive) pack of terrain" every few weeks.

Ehrm, that's not a Blue Table paintjob...It's nowhere near what they offer, AKA tabletop level work. This is an Infinity model by Blue Table:

And this one was done by Century1, who painted the model in your post.

...See the difference? You can see the rest of his Infinity stuff in the P&M Showcase > http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/541127.page

Not trying to push my weight around here or lambast BTP, I just wanna see great artists like Century get credited for their hard work.

Hey, it's cool, I just want credit to go where credit is due. You made a very understandable mistake.

Still, AFAIK, Century1 isn't affiliated with BTP in any way. Kinda worrying that their name is on his picture. I'm gonna send him a PM and see if he knows about this.

Edit: Did some more research and found the pic on the BTP page. It was just one of their guys praising his work, so no worries.

Jah did correct him in the post following the incorrect credit. It would probably be best if Century1 watermarked his photos. It is horribly discouraging when some lowlife will take credit for someone else's incredible work.

to be fair, ephrael, the BTP blogger did give credit to Century in the blog post...
he even said he thought he could paint, until he saw that mini....
so, fair play...

@Pacific: no worries, mate...
i just happen to follow painters quite closely, and recognize styles...

move along...
nothing to see here...

cheers

That Penthesilea is bloody amazing.. think I like that one as much as the Angel Giraldez miniature!

Hopefully not too long until September releases now.. will definitely be picking up the Qapu Khalqi boxset when that comes along. Been reading about the Holo-projector rules, as much as the Hafza minis look like troopers from an 80's cartoon, looks like there is a lot of room for some tomfoolery there with swapping your units around..

This Gecko, Iguana, Anaconda buisness is playing on my mind still.

Any actual art isn't worth referencing due to artistic license but there is a fair bit of other evidence now.
1. The Artbook clearly shows that the Gecko base only differs from the Iguana by having a shorter below the knee section and is therefore only slightly shorter overall.
2. Then it shows us that the Anaconda has the same base as the Gecko.
3. We have seen that the Anaconda is about average size for a TAG.
4. The fluff gives us the impression this is a very small TAG, almost like extended Personal Gear.

I think the clear weak link there is the fluff. That suggests to me that the Gecko is actually going to be only slightly smaller than average, possibly negligibly so, and there are going to be a helluva lot of disappointed faces when they arrive.

I really want to be wrong about that because I'd love to run 4 tiny TAGs but realistically I can't see it happening. If it wasn't for the Anaconda I could see it going the other way but that's a big nail in the coffin of what I was hoping for.
