Blegh, it's taking them longer and longer each week to get that subbed episode of Magi up. At first it was subbed and up on Sundays. I was surprised the first time I saw a Raw version up. And now here it is Wednesday and its still just the raw version.

Anyway, off to watch Gungrave. Its an anime based off a video game, so it can't be that bad, right?
Some actually say it's one of the best animes they've ever watched or at least the first half is. The ending is also really, really good. They could've ended it in a normal way and everybody would've accepted it but they ended it in a much deeper way and actually gained respect from me by making the ending infinitely better. Not gonna spoil it for you if you haven't seen it yet. The ridiculous monster parts were kind of dumb but there ya go. I hear it was made from the same creators of trigun so that's something worth noting. I dunno if i'd say best anime but my opinion of seeing it is that it's a really good anime that is kind of a must watch for an anime fan esp. if you're into the whole crime/mobster settings.

Good to hear that's worth watching. Will try to get an episode in later tonight.

Well that's good because if you're not then the first episode and most of the 2nd half is going to suck. Having said all this there are definite important things in this show. The main character is a silent protaganist that's for sure. I don't even remember if he utters a single word so much as just shakes his head. May as well have been a mute in most cases. You can probably tell from the theme of the show but it's a bit depressing and sometimes hopeful in a small way. There's also a definite theme on family which probably fits the mobster feel. It is very important in some ways.
Also i was a bit curious about 'panty and stocking with garterbelt'. How is it? I think i might enjoy watching it.
Far as animes i'm sad to see go i heard that 'seitokai no ichizon' has been finished completely with only 9 episodes in its 2nd season. I skipped and saw the ending which honestly seemed a bit average. Maybe i'll feel different if i watch all the episodes. Sugisaki ken is still one of the most awesome male characters ever esp. in a harem-esque anime even though it's mostly a harem as a parody of harems in general (kind of like 'the world god only knows' which i also enjoy).

Watched 5 episodes of it just now. Apart from the 1st episode, I'm enjoying it a lot.

Gungrave is the first anime I ever watched, and is pretty much the reason why I kept on watching animes. The elevator scene (you'll know the one) is pure gold.

Great so he'll be on the lookout for every elevator now. I only wish more elevator scenes were memorable in some way although hopefully not in the same way as it was in gungrave . In this case let's hope it's the whole stuck in an elevator with somebody you like, power goes out for a few hours and after one thing leads to another you end up on the floor getting it on hopefully without the elevator falling and killing the both of you or power coming back on awkwardly and opening up to an open crowd that sees the two of you in a very compromising position ;P.
Also when you say the elevator scene is pure gold it makes it sound like it's a hilarious scene or like somebody farted in the elevator and everybody had to deal with the nasty smell.
I will agree though this elevator scene is good.

So how is 'Jormungand'? I heard the main female character in it is completely unlikeable. Is this anime any good? Considering all the harem animes that get shot out japan's *ss or another slice of life comedy i figure it'd be a nice change. A little more realism and a little less 15-17 year old main character cast that the world seems to revolve around.

Watching when they cry, pretty cool if you like mildly disturbing suspense thrillers. I guess I am in a thriller phase bc I watched Perfect Blue as well and that was really good
@darkcloud92: I don't know what to think about 'higurashi no naku koro ni' (the other name for that show you mentioned. Just more psycho yandere girls. I wish they understood the problem for making their characters die all the time only to come back to life when everything restarts is that if a character dies and comes back to life the impact it may have had eventually goes away until there's nothing left. Eventually you have to make the deaths more and more dramatic
Spoiler:
(satoko's death at shion's hands).
I also love how in horror movies characters are often unreasonable and end in the killing of somebody bad from a good character instead of calling the cops or giving proof to said cops.
Spoiler:
I know you'll explain the thing about satoko and her uncle but keiichi easily could've snapped a picture through the blinds of satoko's house showing what was going on. Instead murder is the answer. Of course as is sometimes shown in anime we need to show somebody's IQ because obviously a high one will make you a good murderer even though he basically asked his mother what the best method of murder is. I suppose that should seem suspicious to his mom but i suppose she could expect he's both too young for normally wanting to do that and also maybe he was playing 'Clue' or something (provided it even existed then but i think it did).
Also i'm glad i heard the ending was different. Their explanation at the end of season one for the people going crazy and murdering each other or scratching open their throats was pretty stupid in my opinion. It was 'B' horror movie bad. I even remember hearing them say this themselves in the beginning of the 2nd season. I only watched all of season one and a small part of season 2 btw. Season 2 seemed very slow to start going anywhere.
Not sure how i feel about the same story and setting shown multiple times through different arcs with slightly different choices and things happening because of that. It gets a bit repetitive but i suppose it's nice to see different choices made or similar. Also it was adapted from a murder/mystery game or similar from what i heard. I like how i've seen a game or two on it that makes it look like an H-game though it was probably just a regular visual novel. Of course as the main character i'd rather 'get some' than get killed by the crazy, psycho girls i'm attracted to and attractive to constantly. Hehe i suppose being like the only dude in the village that age (somehow and possibly because the village must have a population of like several hundred) has its benefits.
Spoiler:
Somehow i'm betting an even more horrifying thing would happen and the girls would get married off to old guys considering the weird religious cult and considering that creepy doctor with the pedo feelings for satoko.

The Blood-C movie is out and subbed. I found it very meh. Saya has a totally different personality from what we saw in the series, but that's understandable given how it left off, but it leaves it feeling like the movie's a different canon from the series other than katana wielding schoolgirl fighting monsters. I think they might have explained what it was all supposed to be about? I'm not really sure, I still don't get it. All in all a Meh movie to wrap up a Meh series IMHO. The Blood+ series was much better.
Yeah, saw that Wolf Children was on the site I watch my anime on. Might have to check that one out as I keep seeing it on the best animes of 2012 lists.

Well I just finished season 1 and I have to say I really liked the series. Like there was some parts that weren't that great or that interesting. But watching the first part of the first arc was really fun. An I really really really liked how they finished the second arc. Like the whole story being retold from the twins perspective, I thought it was pretty awesome. I'll prob start the second season soon. It is not my most favorite anime, and I am not saying it's the best. I just like think the way the story was told is pretty cool. Especially that first feeling of deja vu
