Not surprising as both shows (and Valvrave for that matter) originate from the same writer. Our dear friend Ichiro Okouchi... He kind of has one plot and just runs with it

Yeah they didnt spend an awful lot of time on the main plotline it was more a story of the week self contained episodes for the most part but I really enjoyed it. You could tell the same people who made it made cowboy bebop because there were many similarities in style and presentation.

Yeah the last few episodes were good but the entire ending did feel a little rushed and unsatisfying.

On a bit of a Samurai kick atm so started watching Samurai 7. Was hoping for something a little closer to the source material and less flying robots tbh.

I tried log horizon - I really like it, never played WoW, but it does remind me of Runescape back in the day...

I am not particularly interested in ANYTHING from next season. Sailor Moon might be cool though, that series has not aged well at all and could really benefit from a reboot, and of course season 2 of Silver Spoon!

Can someone recommend me an Anime to watch when I finish Samurai 7?

Animes I have liked in the past include

Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champaloo
Full Metal Alchemist/Brotherhood
Trigun
Ghost in the Shell + Sequels and Series

I tend to prefer things grounded in some kind of reality rather than things full of Magic but mostly just something with a good story.

If your having trouble finding an anime to watch, I find it helps to just read through what people on this thread are liking. Beware that each and every one of the posters here are huge pervs. I recommend Bakuman. Its about as down to earth as anime get while still mixing in a little drama and wishful teenage dreams. I might pay to check out this article to see if it sounds like you would enjoy it.

A list of the highly rated anime can be found here. MAL is a good sight since it has a built in encyclopedia of almost every show ever made and a simple 0-10 rating system so you can see at a glace if the show is any good.

I prefer the term Aficionado of the Female Form to "pervert" thank you very much.

Perhaps Black Lagoon? That is fairly grounded in reality. It does go ott at times, but ott in a sort of Tarantino way.

Bakuman was a great anime and manga. I watch it whenever I need motivation to get my homework/projects/tests done.
