That is as interesting as the motivation for fanfiction characters. *sigh*

Dang it anime you have your high points and you sure do have your low points

You have no idea how much I hate you right now

ITs one of the few anime I severely dislike.

Attack On Titan is not for me. XD

... I even "bolded" the Evangelion. You think AoT has an enough deep plot concerning religious motifs like the Fruit of Knowledge -> Angels ?!

Evangelion is a different show. But it isn't scraping the bottom of the barrel like naruto.

Eh, Naruto's alright. It just suffers from being stretched a little due to popularity. If the whole series had focused on Naruto himself, without any of the side-flash's to the backstories of different characters and their adventures, you'd cut out perhaps a hundred chapters of stuff that isn't really needed.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Yeah, generally I prefer to shy away from the side-character subplot heavy anime/manga, but I thought Naruto kept it within reason... for the most part. Bleach has always been a nightmare in this regard. I did think it was funny that the lack of focus on Shino... ever... was a running gag.

I'm sorry, are you seriously trolling me? First I bold the Evangelion, then you say it's a different show now you are using Evangelion, that's a classic of anime, to compare with Naruto?

Did I lose my ability to read english? 'Cause it fething looks like it.

I dislike those in general if they aren't done well.

I mean Game of Thrones I love all the subplots.

No I am saying its just not for me. IT is for others, but for me it is not a great anime. It is extremely popular and people work it up as the greatest anime ever. And guess what? I get severely disappointed when I find those rumors to be untrue.

I.E. don't work me up to watch an anime and expect it for it to meet my expectations.

Well, it IS one of the greatest ever as you can guess from it's extreme popularity (Hell, this year I got some Evangelion related Tokyo Sky Tree souvenirs and there's plenty more of brand new merchandise so it just keeps going) and the recent movies are pure gold, but I have to admit it's not for everyone.

And if someone says he hates Evangelion because of Shinji I'll be forced to STFU, clench my fists and just nod. feth Shinji.

He's a character I hate the most in that anime.

And one of the primary reasons I hate the anime. I also dislike the centrality the whole story has on him and the show's last few episodes pissed me off to no end.

Reminding me why I hate animes that are just rushed in with no regard for the story first. Pandering too much to the fans than people who just want to watch it for a good story and good characters.

Hmmm
The Melchanoy of Haruhi Suzaymia Might be worth the watch.

Also Toradora.

(Check out Glass Reflections he has some interesting stuff)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmEbe0XH51CI09gm_9Fcn8Q

Also for ghosts. I suggest Ghost Hunt.

So, upon re-reading The Girl Who Loved (a Harry Potter/Sailor Moon/Ranma 1/2 crossover fanfiction) I decided to give Sailor Moon Crystal a shot.

The fanfiction, being fanfic, talked about 'rampant lesbianism' in the Senshi ranks. Watching Crystal...

Is that true? Is it something that I just completely missed when I was a kid watching it, or maybe something that was bowdlerized out of the television version?

Cause seriously- second episode, Ami gets framed in the super-close-up and gets called 'cute' by Usagi. I mean, what?

And that, my dear Padawan, is what I consider the very best of Naruto. From your description, I assume you are talking about Gaara vs Rock Lee. The entire fight is epic, both characters are a joy to see fighting.

The other fight I really like is Rock Lee vs Kimimaro, a character I think that had truly "AWESOME!" powers and kicked ass like no tomorrow.

Spoiler:
obviously he had to die a in a lame way.

Which in the Portuguese version they were considered "cousins". Even my very young self could see something else was going on there.

I watched half of the second season of SAO, mainly because my daughter really wanted too. I enjoyed the first half of the original. It wasn't good but I was enjoying it anyway. Then it jumped the shark.

I got bored with Log Horizon about 3/4s of the way throught the first season. I'll get to season 2 eventually, but I am in no hurry.

Lately I have been watching Trinity 7, which I can't objectively judge because I love the Manga. I tried watching Kuwai Complex, but it failed to impress. Romcoms are almost as hard to feth up as harems, but somehow they have managed. I just started the Fate/Stay remake, which was OK so far.

I overdosed on Anime last year, and most of my Japanese pop culture consumption now comes from Manga. I also overdosed on pretentious anime fans who fail to remember that, A, it's OK if we don't all like the same things, and B, that most of anything, including media is average. Hating on things that land in the fat part of the bell curve is setting yourself up for a life of disappointment.

I have no idea what I am doing.

What?! Comedy with no MOE?! Where are my cute anime girl protagonists?! This is madness!

Hehe, I kid, I admit I love my dose of moe in my comedy but that one seems mighty fun. I did watch a short sketch a while ago and it was Nichijou levels of Random. Thanks for the Toradora suggestion too, Asherian Command, but I think I'll try to watch this one first.

You can't legitimately watch it anywhere. You can't even buy a legitimate copy of it. You have to watch illegally because the company that owned is out of business.

I've tried to find a copy of it.

Its exceedingly rare.

Or you can buy it legit for http://www.amazon.com/Melancholy-Haruhi-Suzumiya-Complete-Collection/dp/B0019HABE8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1418762442&sr=8-2&keywords=melancholy+of+haruhi&pebp=1418762452256

Yeah thats 137$ Feth that.

Ah lol well if it's moe you're after than there is always Azumanga, but it is not super intense or random comedy like Nichijou.

But then again, Ordinary Lives of Highschool boys does have some moe...

I just finished watching season one of Psych-pass. Which is all Netflix has of it, so for me, that’s it for now.

Now to see what else they have worth watching that I’ve not seen yet…

Edit: It would probably be a little more constructive for me to say I quite enjoyed it.

Already seen Fate/Zero (also liked it) I’ll drop Soul Eater into the queue. Probably won’t get a chance to watch anything new until after new year’s, but a stocked queue is a happy queue.
