Been awhile Solar good to see you back. I like that color scheme , would look great on the tabletop. What’s your take on the new models?

I would much rather have Primus Marines than Primaris Marines.

I really like what you've got so far. Do you think you'll add another color over the tan/ brown?

Not sure. Just thought I play around and see if I can peak my intrest with all the new kits. So far I thought I'd go with IF successor.. called.. Praetorians. All Terran formed chapter.
Thanks Brother.
True. Originally the purple was Grey. Thought it was too mute.

Good catch. Funny how I wrote that. Probably do it again.
Says the man who reminds me that I have yet to build a loyal chapter.. resolved
IceAngel wrote:I really like what you've got so far. Do you think you'll add another color over the tan/ brown?
The brown is actually the new Necron brass color with several washes depending on what light is hitting it. The only change I might make would to purple inside the shoulders. Not sure though as I wanted them to look like traditional spaulders.
Just playing for now. No hurry as I believe Adepticon will be postponed again. In the meantime. I will try to finish my friends Brass Scorpion and the Lucius Warhound. I'll continue to add more SM as I need to break from projects.

Thats a nice combo for the lamenters scheme. I like that it looks a bit lived in rather than super pristine.

Ok. Been working non stop. Looking forward to my vacation over the holidays.
Trying hard to get some projects off the table and finished.
First to finish my friends Brass Scorpion. I decided to forgo the base. It's just too big to have it forced to fit in between terrain peices. So i'm waiting for a good day with sufficient time to JB weld/ pin it all together.
Here is an older WIP pic.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
Next I need to finish assembling my Lucius Warhound. Again a 'glue' day. Not that it's needed for any event prior to Adepticon 2022, but it's taking a sizeable portion of my work table.
A couple of in the work projects. First is repaint of some of my older Necrons. I decided to re theme them a while back but recently changed the glow on the Canoptek units to make them stand out as such.
Continue to add to my Primaris SM lists. I have 2 very specific lists I want to try and I'm trying to stick to only purchasing those models. You can see the paint theme in some posts above. Techmarine in my current list.

The gradient you got on those armour plates are gorgeous! I hope it stays together alright, the bigger FW pieces I find to be quite fickle on occasion.

Thanks everyone.
In addition I got all my Rampart Kickstarter kits for my new Adepticon Knight Fight game. With Adepticon cancelled again this year, I have 15 months to build. When I get into it I'll be posting on the Knight Fight thread.
Old pics of KF at Adepticon. Then the supply of drop of new Terrain kits.

Yep. Should be a more dark gothic look instead of a generic MDF city. I'll add a bunch of elements from the GW terrain kits to bring it In line with the 40k universe. The fun thing will be designing the individual buildings as these kits are all modular, so I'm only limited by my imagination and my wallet.
With all the stretch goals items, I may have to build a IG army. A tank company seems reasonable with all the tanks that came with the kickstarter. I'll see how much infantry and can muster from past Adepticon displays boards I've done over the years.
Here is a screenshot of the theme I went for. Though it will be painted much darker.

Thank guys.
As soon as I can I'll post some picks of my Canoptek wraiths repaint. I went with a blue glow instead of the traditional green. This should make it easier to identity those units from the main dynastic units. Seems my current list is a Canoptic centric army.
Still waiting on GW to resupply some kits on their website. Need an additional Redemptor dread to finish out one of my Primaris lists
2 more days till vacation.

Some more progress.. the repaint of my lists 5 wraiths and a Chaplain on a bike. I need some more practice on edge highlighting but generally happy with the result.
