The Soul Forge is such a beautiful conversion piece, It really seems to add a lot to the flow of the army, you have outdone yourself.

Thanks a lot, though I'm unsure about which model you mean? I changed the name of the army from "Dark Mechanicus" to "The Soul Forge", to better fit the Iron Warriors theme, so all pictures from now on will have that watermark.

Well, the Dark Mechanicus and Iron Warriors have really close ties, so...I guess you could say that they're both.

Sennacherib: It's going to be spawns, I need to build 5 of them.

I finally got the Forgefiend done - this took a lot longer than Helbrutes to do, since it obviously is bigger, has more details, and my winter break is over.

Anyway, I'm quite satisfied with it - still lovin' the colour scheme:

Wow. The Forgefiend looks amazing. And from what I can tell it's not even that big of a conversion. Sentinel legs and not much more, right? Though something looks weird about the head. Did you do something to its lower jaw?

Colours are excellent.

Thanks! It's a pretty big conversion though; I've changed the lenght of the neck, the legs are defiler legs combined with Dreadknight legs, put the mantis arms on the belly and changed the mounts of the weapons using the plasmacutters from the maulerfiend. The lower jaw has been cut up and reposed to make a split jaw.

Dang. I'm just gonna give up and dedicate a whole sub-folder of my saved Chaos Inspiration folder for your stuff. Amazing without exception.

Do hope you eventually do some more Slaanesh, though.

I probably will, at some point - I really like the Slaanesh aesthetic - that's probably a job for a shrink.

WOW Rasmus, this is the most amazing thread I've ever seen. Your conversions, modelling and painting are mind blowing. Clearly this wonderful army has been a real labour of love. From discovering this thread I sat and read through it from page one., and throughly enjoyed it. Do you battle with with force often? Seeing your project inspires me in my own space marine army, keep up the amazing work

Thanks. Glad to inspire you.

I don't play a lot, but I try to do a game or two a month - in the vacations a bit more. I like to play a battle every now and then, but I AM more of a modeller and a painter, than a gamer.

Thanks guys - I aim to please.

I've made a little buddy for my runaway servitor objective marker, this guy:

This one is reknowned for running off, staying out way too late, and bringing home all sorts of junk, which he proudly hands over to Arch Heretek Karulek:

What has he found THIS time?

Actually it's very easy - a CAREFUL airbrushed dot of moot green, followed by a rune painted with white with a small amount of moot green (mint colour), followed by a few white highlights.

Those converted Nurglings - maybe you should call the "Forgelings" are just amazing! It's baffling how you're just as good at converting really small stuff as you are kitbashing titanic engines of destruction. My hat is off to you, sir!

And yes, "grimcute" is actually the best possible word for these guys!
