Surfing the Tervigon Wave...on a baby.

Everything about this is beautiful. The scaling, the painting, the converting, the posiing, the concept art....

Definately one to watch.

P.S. So jealous of the IA style artwork. I keep wanting to do something similar for my Extinction Angels (...for each individual Marine) but I would fail the drawing and none of the painter type things have enough variety etc.

Very nice stuff indeed.

Now only a CSM player.

Okay, I'm back. Arrival of the sixth edition made me remember this game existed.

Not miniatures, but I'm still gonna post these here. The results of my overthinking of the Space Marine command structure and my desire to create IA type stuff for Crimson Templars. Pictures that illustrate markings of different ranks and positions in the chapter:

Normal battle-brothers display their squad symbol on their right shoulderpads, and naturally the chapter icon on the left.
Corporals act as second in command for normal squads, and lead the other five man group if the squad is split into combat squads. Corporals are indicated by a white stripe on their red helmets.

Veteran battle-brothers wear white helmets and carry Crux Terminatus on their right shoulder.
Sergeants lead squads of battle-brothers or act as second in command for veteran squads. Sergeants are indicated by a red stripe on their white helmets.
Master sergeants are leaders of veteran squads. They have a black stripe on their white helmets.

Each company has two lieutenants that help the captain to run the company. Lieutenenats have a white stripe on their black helmets, on the captains the stripe is red. Grand master of the Crimson templars has two-colour red and white stripe on his helmet. Marines of a rank of a liutenenat or higher are allowed to wear personal heraldry on their right shoulder.

Armour of the chapter's specialists varies depending on their specialty. They wear a symbol indicating their department on their right shoulder. The colours on their left shoulder showing the chapter badge are inverted.

Okay, then some actual models.

Sorry about the low quality of the pics. I had the light set up badly.

Assault marines, finally finished:

The hue of the armour might look slightly different from the pics of the earlier models, but they're the same. It's just the bad lighting.

Many people have asked how I paint the red of the armour and I think I never answered that. These were done with various mixes of Khorne Red, Evil Sunz Scarlet and Wazdakka Red. I avoided using pure Evil Sunz anywhere, as it is really bright I want more muted colours. I put some green ink on extreme shadows, but I'm not sure it has much of an visible effect. Extreme highlights are done with Bleached Bone, which is then glazed with red. With these the glaze was mostly Bloodletter glaze, with a drop of Khorne Red to kill the exessively orange tone.

Also, it was asked how the marines were enlarged. Here's some WIP marines that might help to illustrate that.

My older models have not the spacer that widens the torso, but I started to do that for the new models. It makes greenstuffing to waist a bit harder though.

Much maligned Stormtalon:

I actually like the model, it's a tough looking little bird. Its two major flaws, the huge assault cannon mounting and too short tail are rather easy to fix. However, there was a third thing that bugged me about it, and that was a tad harder. The canopy looked too flimsy. One expects Space Marines vehicles to have certain type of sturdy appearance, but the struts of the canopy were narrower than in an IG aircraft and quite delicate looking. I widened them with greenstuff and added some rivets. I hope it looks OK once painted.

Primaris Psyker and a Rogue Trader:

Leman Russ Punisher:

Yeah, I know Punisher is not one of the best tanks, but you gotta love that giant gatling cannon! This has been enlarged a bit. The tracks have been lengthened 1,4cm and the hull... more. I forgot how much exactly.

Okay, more later. I have some Tau Mercenaries... somewhere.

Some more WIPs.

Sternguard:

Tactical Marines:

Lascannon:

I never liked how the lascannon devastator holds the weapon like it was a giant sniper rifle. Looks awkward. This one is made out of missile launcher.

Chaos Marine:

This is why I never get anything finished. Just start all these unrelated things and nothing ever forms a cohesive whole. New allies rules help a bit. Now I at least need to only complete a one squad and a HQ from an army to actually use them. Too bad there's still not an option to field squads composed of four Firewarrios, two Wyches and a Kroot and a Chaos Warrior...

Great looking minis!!

So...Did you make the artwork yourself or is it some program thats common available??

I really like the overall idea of different helmet designations, might incorporate that into my own Black Templar Army...That is if I ever stop converting and start painting

She's Reaper's Sascha Dubois.

I unfortunately have no more pictures of her. She still needs some greenstuff here and there. I'll take new pictures once I'm done with that.

I did it myself. I didn't like any of the templates I found on the internet.

I know how it is. I too like converting way more than painting, and thus I have very little actually finished, presentable models.

I decided to partake a local tournament, which meant that I had to actually complete some of my countless unfinished models.

Here are my new Tactical Marines:

And my Stormtalon:

I really like how this turned out. As you can see, there are few little tweaks. The tail has been extended slightly and the Assault Cannons have been moved upwards. Also, the cockpit area has been modified to make it more sturdy looking, more fitting for a Space Marine vehicle.

Here you can see the extended tail well:
