Spoiler:

This is really good news. Makes it much more worthwhile for those of us who need smaller quantities of bits to make an order.

Vic,

Any chance of some desert raider-style guardsmen? Perhaps with Bedouin-style headgear?

Is this free shipping for a limited time or until further notice? You're in Australia, that must be expensive.

Great news regardless...

Do you have plans to release a head with the "tentacle face" soon or is that just a teaser? I would be all over those for an army for my brother. I was also wondering if you were planning on bringing people's orders to Adepticon this year? I'm not attending myself but several of my friends are and they could pick up my stuff if I ordered it and save the hassle of having it shipped here from across the world.

Snrub,

Thanks for the fast reply and the info. Looks like I'll be ordering some heads and penal trooper sets to make guard allies for my marines very soon. I never even saw them on the site. I can't wait to get some now.

For the love of God, please stop coming up with ways for me to spend money!

OT:
The new stuff looks incredible vic! Fantastic! I really like the different officer arms. 'B' would be good for NCOs too.
And the new kilt legs are really sweet. Love the new standing poses.

Edit:
And order placed!

Stuff looks great, just placed my first order.

That MG looks great, I'm hoping for some heavy-weapon stand ins in the future, if that's any indication of quality.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Beastman, Work in progress.
Hi, I am currently sculpting the upcoming modular Beastman Squad, and I need some gamer/modeller input. This guy follows up on the Torgo mini sculpted for Adepticon. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=406599589376509&set=pb.162170277152776.-2207520000.1363239373&type=3&theater
I am thinking that the squad that might have a trench raider inspired theme, armed with grenades, and hand weapons, as well as a few shotguns and perhaps a special weapon. Let me know what you think.
Many thanks,
V

looking good... are the arms rather hairy? comparable to GW arms or would they be useable as jungle fighter arms too? that would be a clever move...

No not hairy. they would work for muscly humans.

I'm loving those beastmen... how tall are they compared to a Gor or an Ungor? (just trying to work out if they will look small next to the ones I've already kitbashed )

I know you've said you want to take them in a more trench warfare route (which looks very cool), but are you still planning on having lasgun style arms and kneeling legs for them as well so we can use them for normal platoons?

I like that they can be used with different torsos. That would help make them more appealing to people even if they weren't necessarily using your torso pieces.

And this is going to feel very weird, but I feel Catachan lasgun arms might be perfect for these guys if you need lasgun models. The big beefy arms would make sense with these I would think, but of course there's no way to tell without them being in your hand.

Other than that I can't really help much, as I'm not sure what people would want from them. I will say that it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to make a steam gun variant that matches these arms you see in the pic, since the current steam gun arms would look very out of place on these guys. That or that wicked cool flamer, I don't think people would complain with either of those.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Oh yeah one last thing I almost forgot to ask.

Have you considered doing combat armored legs vic? You know, something in line with your combat armored torsos. Basically, using the awesome torsos, legs with say shin armor, kneepads, and boots, and maybe some sort of simple shoulder armor (or using the arms that already come with armor on them) to make carapace armored troops.

You're already halfway there, all you need now are helmets and legs and you could make some nasty looking assault troops I would think. Not sure if people besides me would want them though, so that's up to you

LOOKS AMAZING, love the fact you are allowing change of torsos.

I am thinking some imperial traditional beastmen now looks like my order is increasing again

For the trencher how a bout the mass grenade as in this pic

Those arms will work nicely as Vik mentioned for jungle fighters, while I am remember is there any chance of getting bare shotgun arms ? Really could use some of those

Also the combat armoured legs is a fantastic idea MrMoustaffa they would be extremely useful indeed.

So basically looking fantastic Vic great work awesome beastmen

Looking great. Personally, I'd prefer arms that are holding standard two-handed weapons like rifles and shotguns than close combat weapons. The latter are very easy to convert out of bits I already have, but good paired arms are harder to find.

If they stay non-hairy, that's another set of bare arms that people can use for Vietnam-era or Catachan Jungle Fighter style models.

Any plans on the horizon for helmeted gas mask heads or short duster coat bodies, a la Steel Legion?
I've always wanted to make the guys on this image:

Also, while I'm posting, I wanted to say that this range is absolutely fantastic. Long been a fan of your painting, Vic, and seeing you producing such characterful models is brilliant
