Yes! And were those the badass dudes that went after Eisenhorn?

I think one particular archetype that could use some V.L. love is "ww2 soviet troops" - and they could kick off with a full female squad as well, as whole regiments of Valhallans are female.

This this this! Only a greatcoat body and legs is needed initially too tbh, because I reckon the Arcadian helmets are probably close enough to Soviet helmets to be used for both. The hats can follow...

Also agree with female space-Soviets being a good idea- plenty of Soviet women fought in WWII, even on the front line. My favourite example is in the Battle of Stalingrad where a women AA regiment held of German tanks until every one of their guns was overrun.

Yeah, Not-Valhallans/NeoSovs with both male and female troops would be great. The arcadian helmets are quite a lot different to actual Soviet helmets, though.

I'd also love to see some high-speed geared not-moderns for 40k-ish games at some stage as well. Railed helmets, headsets, Crye-style pants with integrated kneepads, vests with proper pouches and gear, etc. Madrobot has some parts, but not full soldiers with kit.

Something a bit different to the not-historical regiments from the Zulu wars to Vietnam that we usually see.

It's a shame Elysians come with breathing masks moulded onto their chest plates, their designs come so close to modern stuff.

Got my order of dress uniforms and dress caps in a couple days ago. Started work on my fisrt of three Mordain scout Sentinels and they are turning out great. Doing some digging around and found some old crewless IG heavy weapons so more dress uniforms are to be order. Now these new Arcadians have me even more interested.

I'll go on and throw in my recommends.

I stick to my original request to just start with a female squad of each of your regimentals on hand. then add in some new ones later, such as the elysians.

I know of several fitting female troops to run with, such as the "Rangers", the Drop troops, and Outlander scavenger regiment 13, to name a few. My own, from the catachan 82d would be a fitting one as well, a combination of catachan/ road warrior types that have desert equipment/ ala gorkamorka, some with gas masks, some with goggles, some with burkas, some with ork tech appendages, maybe even some with ork weaponry or some along the lines of scav jezels, and heavy weapons cobbled together from both human and ork tech.

Then the little bit of a recommend for female base troops in uniforms/ berets with hotshot lasguns and larger packs. ( black uniforms, blood red berets.)

Picked up 3 squads to start, one of them female. They're going to be a healthy add on for a few extra platoons of my Bravo company replacements.

Yeah, I've looked at them again since and realised they didn't look quite as I remembered. Got attached sort of ear areas on the side, whereas soviet/valhallan helmets are much more basic. Pity. Still would like to see not-Valhallans though

Minions, helpers and lovely assistants needed at Adepticon Wed 2nd April.
Hi, I will be packing clamshells with resin in the main ballroom in the afternoon and could really use some assistance. If you are around with an hour to spare I'd really appreciate it. Might even be some resin reward. Just drop me a message or email, or wander by on the day. I'll be wearing my Victoria Minis shirt.
Many thanks, V

Any way you end up slicing it, you've done a fantastic job with the (Ar)Cadians. You've done an especially fantastic job with the female soldiers, creating what may be the first and only range of female heroic scale figures that accomplish the two basic things they should: look like they might actually be soldiers, and still come in fairly realistic and believable proportions. This is probably the single best kit to ever find it's way into the hobby to fill that niche.

Though the weapons are a bit too large for my tastes, I feel like that can easily be solved by shortening the barrels down by one notch.

My one question, since I have around 150 of the little metal bastards, is how well they scale up to the classic Cadians that they take inspiration from. They seem like they might be a bit too tall to seamlessly integrate (just based on how they stand next to the current plastics), which would be a shame (or perhaps just a modeling challenge to file off a mm or two without ruining the model). Because I'd consider getting a kit just to sprinkle them in, but I'd hate for them to look like giant Amazons.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Hi Vic!

Great work as always on your recent releases, they look excellent and i'll surely be buying some this year but right now I need to put in an order for a load of your gear/equipment (canteens, pouches, etc)

I was looking through the webstore and can't seem to find the cool metal bagpiper conversion kit, is it no more?

Those Arcadians are beautifully done!

Also, I don't know if we're allowed to make suggestions or not, but there appear to be a lot of people still interested in Necromunda. Maybe your own take on the gangs would go over well?

Just tossing ideas around.

Quoted for truth! I've spent $120 in the last year on bits and pieces from Vic, all for Necromunda. If she started to create models especially for necromunda... I'd probably be able to lose some weight from lack of food

Hey guys, I just shipped the 10 packages of limited edition metal standard bearers that I picked up for folks at AdeptiCon this morning. Sorry I couldn't get them out sooner, I had a crazy week upon returning from the convention and just got them packed this weekend.

US packages should arrive Wed/Thurs (priority mail), the UK package in 6-10 business days, and the APO package whenever the military decides to get it there (but it's also priority).

Seeing as I bought enough old metal and new resin PL troops/bits to build 4-5 squads, I'm planning on making them conscripts.
I could see conscripting criminals into being bullet catchers.....
