Man, I really love everything on this site. Even been working up the stones to get a bunch of Tannenberg and make them into Mordians.

Now with the gun carriages...my dreams are now apart of my credit line. lol.

I never have been happy with the way GW handled the fluff of the Necromundan PDF/Spiders etc.

I could get behind that look though... start off as gangers, then you get into the PDF/Spiders, then into the off planet IG.

You may want to take a look at the minis in Raging Heroes Toughest Girls thread then, especially the jailbirds.

If the Raging Heroes gets their act together, their jailbirds might be decent Lucky 7th?

Can't help it, it is my favourite piece of hobby art ever at this point. Ever since I saw it previewed in a copy of White Dwarf I was going "Holy gak! Finally someone who does it right." This isn't some power armoured donkey-cave drenched in blood kneeling in prayer or striking a glorious pose, this is a great representation of the faction that represents humanity.

After 40 pages of comments, this was the only time, a bit disapointing

Maybe once the female Tannenberg minis are out I'll take a stab at recreating this piece of art.

So that is Fantasy Flight under license to GW and they seem to have it pretty damn good.

Having ran the Inquisition and Rogue Trader games, as well as the play in the SM parts, I actually prefer the games where it is just humans involved as there is more challenge, more drama, and it seems closer to the players, the SM aspect is insanely over the top. The SM RPG is more war gods like in conflict as the SM can and do mess the balance of a normal session up.

They do a better job at it right now than GW, it certainly helps that they're snatching up ex-GW writers (The Andy's come to mind) and ascended fanbois to help enriching the quality of the writing.

Used to be that I would direct people to certain GW publications, but now, the FFG publications are the best source for fluff, as the official GW stuff doesn't really do much to help people on their way.

Same with bits companies catering to certain 40k factions I suppose.

This new Riot Shield by Jake Schneider will be part of the swag of new weapons coming mid October. I am looking at making some arms for it. What would you like to see in the right hand? a maul option or a universal rifle stock?

Riot shields look awesome. Does this mean you will be producing heavily armoured space police in the future or are these just a one off?

As for the riot shield option, why not both?
But the rifle shield would definitely be useful, would look great with the cut out firing ports on the shield.

Seconded, re both options. A shotgun sticking out of the shield firing port would be very cool...

Would be very interested in the heavily armoured space Police...

I just need more female everything to balance out the sausage fest that is GW IG.

If Vic makes it in female, I'll buy it to balance out the gender ratio of my army.

The tank commander bits look excellent over the rolled sleeve arms. I've done it for the Sergeant for my Tallarns (made from the world devils kit with alternate heads and a few GW bits) BTW Vic if you ever make Desert Raiders consider my first born yours. You'll get the second too if you make both genders!

Some arms with a shotgun or rifle sitting in the fire port would be perfect for 30 ig!

I had the longest running Inquisition RPG campaign of the old shop I played at, 2yrs it ran till they got the bad guy at his most over arching attempt and foiled him.

The books and supplements helped make things flow, and helped me add more spice to the game.

some 3rd party companies do help a LOT, If I were to go adding in well Victoria Miniatures does make some very nice new factions and some awesome looking older and neglected factions.

Mad Robot, Dreamforge and others I like. FW's DKoK are alwso nice looking, but at 80USD for a 10man squad, it places them out of acceptability

I think the only good thing GW did for guard was Dan's Gaunt's Ghost series. Those female characters were tougher than some of the dudes. But that's personal preference. I know a lot of people here on Dakka don't care for his writing.

But seriously Vic. You make females of all your stuff, you've got guaranteed sales to me. I'm loving my arcadians.
