I hope others are as excited about this and it works out well for Vic because I would love to see what you do for a transport too.

Good news everyone, I posted the Matilda off to the caster today.

It'll be a while before we have a resin copy to show off, but it's making solid progress.

So, we know what the greatcoat legs and torsos look like, so I must ask, what kind of heads will we get for the eventual "regiment" on offer? Ushankas, Pilotkas, Adrian helmets, gasmask'd guys, other?

I'm currently hoping for Adrian; continues the historical theme Vic's done so well thus far, but like the Van Diemens, would be very different from everything else on offer, and save the pilotkas/ushankas for the unbutton'd greatcoats.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

There are at least going to be Pilotkas, according to a picture Vic shared a while back. I can guess that there are also going to be Ushankas as well.

Hey Faolan, here's a slightly selfish request (but would fill out the range of weapons available) - could you do a universal version of an RPG launcher? 40k players can use them as missile launchers, and in my case I'd use them for inquisimunda

And on the hat front:

Pilotka

I'll work on it, but I make no promises that Victoria will want to get and sell them. If she doesn't, you and I can talk in PMs about it

No problem, thanks for even considering :-) missile launchers aren't the most popular heavy weapons for IG these days but having a universal version of either an rpg style or tube style missile launcher would make sense to me.
And I might be wrong but the grip style on an rpg seems more likely to be compatible with universal arms. Although mine are in the post so I can't say that for sure yet :-D

The hand grip isn't the problem, it's the way missile launchers are hefted that's the issue, in regards to the universal arms- the tube has to go up over the shoulder for balance, as opposed to jutting into the shoulder like a rifle does.

I'll start looking into it after I get home later, I have to go deal with gov't functionaries and passport crap today - the joys of needing to maintain two passports from separate countries.

Has anyone picked up the vic's riot shields? I'd love to see some in the wild. I was thinking of using them as boarding shields for my iron warriors.

Lockark, they're not designed, size wise, to be for Space Marines, that said, have a look here:

I've been thinking of getting the Vic ones for a naval boarding party, thanks faolan for posting that pic.

If the Victoria ones don't work for you, Maxmini has some nice shields as well. IIRC they are packed with two different styles per pack- which was annoying when I wanted a unit of ten. The Vic shields are pretty sweet but weren't available when I bought the Maxminis.

Goddamn government functionaries! Never a problem I've had in the same way. I did have to spend ÂŁ130 *and* spend the day in Newport once, that was bad enough :-D
I totally see the issue, I somehow imagine fitting a false stock with integral grip under one of these http://www.theassaultgroup.co.uk/index.php?prod=348 " target="_new" rel="nofollow"> http://www.theassaultgroup.co.uk/index.php?prod=348 , and having the left hand cupping the bulb of the grenade.

Will there ever be an option to get the broolian beastmen parts separate? I love the sculpts, but haven't gotten around to buying them due to the fact that I would want to order more of their separate bits to make a completely WYSIWYG squad for my IG list. I also love the torsos that they have, with out having to buy separate grenades to glue onto the already awesome trencher's torsos.

Calculating Commissar

England

Ok, so I've been doing some thinking (I know, dangerous), and flicking through the AM codex a bit too, and I reckon there are a couple of things that Vic minis could make which would be great to see available:

Standards. This has already been discussed, but basically, Icon-less standards and/or banners would be brilliant for DIY Guard Regiments (and plenty of the GW ones too!).

Medic equipment. Something like a human sized arm with a little bone saw and needle pack built in, or some hands holding bandages, or holding a large hypodermic syringe, as well as a medical equipment case of some kind, would be brilliant, and getting hold of medic bits for making your own is difficult.

Overcoat torsos, with overcoat arms maybe (although shoulder boards and any future greatcoat arms would probably be sufficient). For DIY general human characters- Commissar, Inquisitor etc. I envisage something like a torso with a large, flowing coat that is unbuttoned, with a flak or dress uniform torso beneath, that would fit on the Arcadian legs. With the Tannenburg officer head, that would be a good Commissar IMO. Also good for creating more unique officers.

Demolition charges. Who doesn't like high explosives?

Just some suggestions for future conversion parts, the medic pack in particular is something I can see filling a niche.

No pictures. Package tracking says it's arrived with the casters. Now for the long process of getting the moulds made.

Good news everyone! I've just sent another prototyping order off to be printed. Victoria may be posting the 3d images Soon™.*

For anyone who's interested, and will be going/might be going to Adepticon, I'll be teaching seminars there on design, both "theory" and "practice". I know I mentioned this before, but now the class is available in the shopping cart, so you can actually make firm plans if you want to!

http://www.cvent.com/events/adepticon-2015/agenda-ec700157f5894ca891500186aec58ca9.aspx

I'd say to also make sure you go sign up for Victoria's OSL classes, but they sold out instantly.

Not a lot to report otherwise right now.

*Once I send her a "hard copy" of them, as opposed to a quick spin around with the share screen feature on Skype.

Guys, potentially stupid question, but scale are the Victoria miniatures? It says 30mm, but is that to the eyes or to the top of the head? Are they true or heroic scale? The heads seem a little large, but nowhere near GW level.

Long story short, I'm kind of thinking about creating some kind of rebel panhuman army/society that would predominantly be a display army but will hopefully be usable in a variety of game platforms. I would like to combine them with some of the Infinity miniatures and I'm wondering how they would look together.

I'm talking about arms and legs mostly. I love the beastmen legs in this set and would like to be able to grab them for different uniform tops, as well as their bare shotgun arms, they look a heap radder then the clothed ones. I also don't want to get stuck with the hand flamers though, not really a weapon I like in the fluff too much.

So this isn't the best photo, but these guys are a mix of Vic Minis and GW bits. There's empire militia sprue, bits of chaos cultists, some guardsmen bits, Broolian Beastmen shotguns and cc weapons, even a space marine plasmagun at the back on a cadian arm with the rest of the model being Vic.

A modular Arcadian outfitted with a FN FAL rifle from Mad Robot, further decked out with a scope from Anvil Industries, makes for a nice not-Vindicare or a veteran with sniper rifle.

The head is from Andrew Rae's range, as nice as always, though I did have to saw off the top of it so I could stick on a spare slouch hat from my Van Diemen's World Devils order from some time ago.

Can someone remind me what arm sets are currently in the works? I have a 10 man not-Helgast squad in need of greatcoat arms (the MaxMini ones turned out to be.. urgh) and some veterans who need un-rolled Arcadian-style arms. I think the former are coming (?) but how about the latter?

Siygess, Victoria already offers a set of rolled up arms. Check her site and look under arms. She offers an excellent selection.

Vic,

I am still very interested in your female Tannenburg Fusiliers sets. Are they still in the works? Will you have sets of empty arms for them? I have money and will spend if available!

Since you do female faces in a realistic way, I would like to request a set of female heads without helmets. That way I can at least sprinkle in a few ladies in the force.

If there's a set of universal arms (no weapon) with sleeves down to the wrist, I missed them.

Only rolled sleeve universals that I've seen so far. Male and female versions.

I have a query as well that may not be answered; are there any more permutations of female minis due in the next couple of months? I'd like some more bits just now for variety but I'm worried I'll spend then immediately find out something better has appeared.

Agreed. I am budgeting out my next three months. I would like to know if I should save some money for more female mini bits or if I should just spend it on other manufacturers.
