Incredible job. Truly striking. It's really interested to see the two Magnus' next to each other. The color palette works perfectly as well.

Thank you so much! He was a lot of fun to paint, made a nice break from masses of red armour.

Thanks man, I didn't realize how small the resin Magnus was until I put them side by side.

Thanks!

I have been hard at work giving my many TSons some more vehicles these last few months. The printer has been chugging away and my supply of red paint being depleted at rapid pace.

My first test tank was a custom tank destroyer with Grav gun. Knowing what I know now, I would have printed it at a more detailed resolution, the layer lines are very obvious close up. From a distance it is decent enough.

Similar story with this Whirlwind, battle damage covers up some flaws very nicely though

Last month I saw an old Predator kit gathering dust in my local hobby store so obviously I had to rescue it!

I also did up a Vindicator that I have had in pieces for years...

Heading back to the printer, I made the first Land Raider of many. Definitely my favourite SM tank design

Busting through my photobooth is the imposing Fellblade which I notice is no longer on the GW webstore, plastic model when??

Also a Legion Chimera because why not?

Okay, enough tanks, how about some flyers, first up, the Xiphon Interceptor

And snagged from some Space Wolves is the Stormfang Gunship

Finally for the painted stuff is a Caestus Assault Ram

I am also picking away at a couple more Land Raiders, a MK2b Achilles and what I am dubbing the MK2c Excelsior

And as is tradition, a nice big family photo, as you can see, those layer lines pretty much vanish with a little distance.

Not bad for a few months work if I do say so myself!

My goodness that’s a lot of armour! Love the cracked stone effect you’ve added to the white bits on some of them, quite fitting for the Sons

Thanks! It's a nice way to break up all the red, I might go back to some of my older vehicles and add a few more white panels at some point.

Just a little update for today. With the leaks of the new HH boxset including my favourite terminator, the Saturnine pattern, I finally got inspired to paint up my Techmarine.

Incidentally, with him painted up, I now have 600 Thousand Sons (including vehicles) complete!

Amazing techmarine, I guess it's a 3d sculpt? Pauldrons look awesome.
And congrats on the 600 Thousand Sons! Only 400 missing!!!

Also known as KeiserS! muette is my old name.

I also have a 3d models shop, check it out here! https://cults3d.com/en/users/keiserspandp/creations

Dammit! Muette beat me to saying only 400 left! I’d also say that it’d be great to get an Army shot, but I wouldn’t want you to have to hire the village hall and some tables to lay them all out!

Loving the Saturnine/Nocturne pattern Techmarine, super cool mini and great paint job! Even more impressive if you printed him on your FDM Machine

Thanks! He's a Tortuga Games sculpt actually, they make a heap of lovely looking models!

Cheers man, I'd love to do a big army shot soon, it just takes so very long to set them all out haha. I'm currently building a new house so maybe when the moving day comes I'll set them all out before packing them up!

Yeah I'm almost at 15 years working on this army, crazy how time flies, thanks for checking back in!

It's been a minute since I took care of some infantry. A while back I bought the newish command squad and decided to take the chance to also use up a few loose models I had lying around for a few years.

First the basic MK3 set with a few printed weapons

Then the bits box rummage turned up these 5 guys

I found an old Grey Knight banner that I wanted to use up. A popular fan theory is that the Emperor intended the TSons to become the Grey Knights before the Heresy kicked off so it felt fitting.

The trickiest conversions I have done in quite a while involved taking these 5 plague marines and cleaning them up to the point where they were just heavily armoured and battle damaged MK3. Pretty happy with how they turned out. The banner bearer in particular is my favourite.

Hoping I can wrap up the last few models I have in the WiP pile before Saturnine drops because I am getting that kit as soon as possible!

Ah, cool, would be awesome to get an army shot as you have to pack them away before you move… it’d be rude not to :-P ;-)

Lovely work on the new infantry. Amazing how well those plague marines tarted up. I think I even recognise some of them just about

Thanks! It seemed wasteful having the models kicking around for years so I'm glad I finally found a use for them.

Thank you, took me a long time to get a paint scheme that I liked and that was easy to mass produce but I finally settled on something!

I'm gonna have to invest in a bigger table just to showcase them all at once!

With the new edition of HH just released, I decided it was high time to finish essentially everything left in my unpainted pile. Fortunately, there wasn't a huge amount, a handful of tanks and HQ models that I had been neglecting for some time.

Starting with the tanks, my trip back to my home country of England resulted in a quick stop by Warhammer World and I seem to have left with a Sicaran and Spartan tank...

Not having enough demolisher cannons, I painted up both a 30k and 40k Vindicator to take care of any pesky fortress walls left standing

I also put the finishing touches on the Land Raiders from my last update

This guy is definitely lacking something, might come back to it to add more details and battle damage at some point

To complete my collection of Land Raiders, I also printed and painted an Armoured MK1

I need to invest in some more TSons transfers as I am running low!

Following the tanks, I did up my one remaining Dreadnought, of all the Primaris designs, I think this is one of the better sculpts

That's it for big things, after that I painted some Thunder Warriors in Proto-Terminator armour

My converted Praetor also got a lick of paint meaning my Age of Darkness set was finally all finished!

Lastly, I had just picked up a couple of sets of the new Rapier gun units and got all the infantry painted. I converted them up as well to have a few different weapons so they can also function as a recon squad

And here is a little sneak peak of what is now on the painting shelf, the contents of the new edition boxset along with 8 rapier cannons, a Dreadclaw and of course, another tank...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Ooh, I missed one! While I was at Warhammer World, I really wanted to grab the store exclusive command tanks, sadly they were out of stock and wouldn't let me order one so I went ahead and printed a better one...

Loving all the characterful details on each of the infantry. Your bases are much the same as my own ones for my (long aborted) 30k Thousand Sons army. Tsons always seem 'desert based' to me. Anything else seems weird.
