Its been years since i played Epic but i have been drawn back in after starting a 2mm Fantasy Army that got me thinking small again.
I only ever had the ORK stuff from the Titan Legions box, some of the Space Marine box set infantry and battle wagons plus some converted historical stuff for extra battle wagons which made ORKS one of my smallest armies with need of more super heavy goodness.
When i got this i didnt even know there was such a model as the Orkeosaurus but had in mind to use it as a counts as Great Gargant.
I may never play again but if i do i will be using the old rules from 1997 with a lot of "counts as"so please no comments about illeagal weapon choices etc.
I also have done a couple of Gargants, pics later.
Its always my policy to make stuff on the cheap if possible.

Really like the Orkeosaurus, been thinking about doing a feral Ork list for a while now. How tall are the Gargants? FYI i did attempt to make a Gargant using Deoderant bottle tops ages ago but its since been destroyed to make other stuff, just modifying an old Mega Gargant at the mo to downsize it to Great Gragrant size.

"You smell dat? Do you smell dat? Napalm, son. Nofing else in da galaxy smells like dat. I love da smell of napalm in da morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' 'ummie body. Da smell, you know dat gasoline smell, da whole hill. Smelled like... victory."

The sore-arse is a pound shop toy with weapons and plates added but most of the "cyber" details were already there.
I just got a slasher Gargant from e-bay and will post pics of them together when painted but my two are taller -fifty something mm height.
I would be interested to see your great g when finished.

A gaggle of gargants! its about now i realise just how much money i've spent on epic in the last couple of years.... The Great Gargant made from a Mega Gargant is the black one in the middle of the shot.

nice group shot there, give me another week and i will have a group shot for you - i have a GW slasher that just needs basing and several other home-mades part painted.
I have to say that the chopped down mega makes a more powerfull looking GG than the official models and as i have found with my own stuff a simple dark colour scheme seems to add more menace (i wish i had gone less silver and coloured patches on mine now, i may put extra washes on some, though now that they have a heavy gloss varnish that may be difficult).
Do you have any other Ork super heavies to post?

Some turrets are blue tacked into position and the guns on the gibblet grinda are scratch built from a Mega Gargant turret (they model didnt have any when i got it)

FYI the 'Flak Wagon' is a Plastic Bone Cruncha with a 1/300 scale Gepard AA turret attached, it looked Orky enough to pass.

The 2 mega gargants at the back of the group shot are slightly modified GW, the slasha gargant is gw with extra guns and the stompers are straight gw- all others posted so far are converted toys/military models.

Your gargants are great although I can't help but feel that the first one looks more like a Super Heavy Tank a Capitork Gorkalis........

I love them. The uniqueness makes it feel really orky, like each mek building one has his own idea of what a gargant should be.

Yes, all picked up from charity shops or car boot sale-all different and less than £2 for the lot, they range from Burger chain toys to actual "models" eg the big green one is Bandai.

New Gargant.
I wanted to build some big Gargants so i built them inline with new Adeptus Titanicus sizes so i could use them as "count-as titans" if i should ever get together with players of newer systems (i'm all oldhammer) , this is the first one finished of the 3 in my "Big mob".

Wow that is an impressive overall project time and some great stuff there - can I ask if you will re-host some of your photos away from Photobucket? (That changing away from free plans has killed a lot of the old blogs hasn't it)

That's a really impressive scratch-build though and looks like it would scale well with some of the new AT titans.

Thanks.
When i have finished the other two (for the Big big mob) i will post a new group Gargant pic with them all in.
I wanted to do some very big Gargants but i like the look of the Great better than the Mega so i went more in that style-i can never understand why the Meg' has no belly cannon-the definitive Ork Gargant weapon, if i had designed the Mega Gargant i would have given it a Snapper with a belly gun a bit higher up.
It Stands around 6 inches tall so should be ok as a "counts as" Warlord if i ever play new Titanicus.

Did a lot of searching for all scales of Gargant over the last few weeks.
Is that your only scratch built Gargant?
You are not a million miles away then (i'm in Belper between Matlock and Derby) are there many gaming events near you under normal circumstances?
