Thanks guys! Just got back from a funeral.

The fatigues on my infantry is achieved by priming flat grey, then several coats of (then) gryphonne sepia followed by a highlight of a khaki tan color.

First model painted up. Not yet based. This is how the army will look. Sorry for the crappy quality, camera is charging so I had to use my phone. Even the macro setting is crap.

Your test model looks pretty good...

Red, as i am watching your troops, they look good, but i feel are all two much of the same color. I feel like the armor/boots should be a deeper color or something different then the fatigues. Also i feel the gun should be a different color then the uniform at the least. It looks good! good job.

That's actually the idea. I want them to look like they belong more on the battlefield than on the parade ground. My aim is modern US infantry thus the fatigues have the 3 color desert camo, the armor a darker brown to maintain the overall camo profile. Same with the rifle. But thanks for the feedback my friend

then i suggest you cameo the rifle and helmet. That will sell the effect more.

I personally would drop one of the infantry squads and one of the HW teams, and get a pair of Valkyries instead for the vets...

You'd be surprised at how much hell a Vulture Gunship can do in a single game... The last game I played with it against Daemons, it caused about 650 points of damage!
(it has Vector Dancer (more manoverable), Strafing Run (+1 BS against ground targets) , and only costs 155 points!)

Also, is that list for a 2.5k game or 1.5k?

You're right, I forgot to add in the pair of valks & the sky talon, I usually only run the A-Company Tauros in small games where I need a dirt cheap HQ, so at 2500 pts (the size I prefer) I run:

Puts me about 12 shy of 2.5k which leaves me some last-minute wiggle room for situational equipment.

In recent games, my infantry & vet squads have really been the shining light of this army, although the dice cube I bought for it hasn't done me too wrong yet either *knock knock*.

Oh and if I choose, I also have an allied detachment of regular guard consisting of a pair of vet squads lead by harker & bastonne, an arvus lighter, a primaris psyker, a hellhound, an avenger & a hades to guide bastonne's demolitions squad to their target.

Would seem to be inspired by Halo's ODSTs.

Whilst this all looks really cool, the troops themselves to me dont really look like drop droops. They look like cadians, some of which who are pullin a rambo. Again, cool and all, that dune buggy is badass btw, its just the troops dont look lik etheyd be jumping out a jet anytime soon.

Blood Lance, I've actually phased out all my infantry with Elysians. However, the look I was aiming for with the proxies was kinda a Vietnam era 1st cav look.

If I ever get motivated I'll take pics of the completed army in desert colors shown above.

I really like what you've done not many people try to use drop troops and it is really cool!
