I really like the larger demons of decay, and the best thing is they don't seem overly decay-themed, so I'll get a few to represent demon encounters for my PCs to die to ...

What's the difference between a Rotting Set and the Descendants of Decay? They're all the same figs to me, and have the same components.
I must be missing something, right?

You could get an approximation of their size with the base sizes, I did that for the larger "ogre sized" demons .

Has anyone picked up the decay models? Would love to see some scale shots. I can sort of kind of tell by looking at the bases, but would be great to see them up with the models I actually use for 40k. Or at least for putting together and painting while thinking about 40k.

Next project will be a Fantasy Football Steampunk dwarf team:
Titan Forge wrote:Alright. After Daemonic Kingdom new releases it's time to go back to our new project! Some of you were asking if our Steampunk Dwarves (still WIP nickname) will be released using any crowdfunding platform. Well, the answer to this is... maybe Check out the new concept art for this cool roller! Like?
Titan Forge wrote:Drakskull's Menace campaign gave us a lot of experience with crowdfunding mechanics - both positive and negative ones. It's very cool to see a lot of people "dig" our idea, but we had to learn we have limited possibilities and some things (whole new range of products!) can't be done in one month! Conclusion? We have to do something equally cool but on a bit smaller scale.
The concept arts we show you for some time are drawings of our Fantasy Football team project - angry, metal dwarves with epic beards playing football - classical case of Titan Forge different approach to existing ideas, but on a more compact scale!

I finally took the plunge and bought some of these things - the Vampiric Bats, the Plague Demons, and the Plague Standard Bearer.
I'm very impressed - the castings are clean, almost free of flash (some negligible bits here and there), and the mould lines look easy to clean.
Best of all, exactly 10 days of shipping time from Europe to Singapore - just about the fastest I've ever experienced.
These folks have definitely got my business.

So. I wants some decay daemons to go with my skydevils. Can any one suggest a good retailer for the USA? Or is TF itself the best bet, despite Europe? I've used ebay for TF in the past, but alas no decay up now, and haven't found many other options

As it turned out, eBay came through in a big way a day or so after I posted the above, thanks to The Troll Trader. Pretty sure this is the same seller I've gotten all my Titan-Forge from. She / he's in the UK but great prices and very acceptable shipping rates - Salvage

Good to know, thanks
I'm still getting sticker shock looking at those prices, though... it seems like the kind of prices I will gladly pay for heroes / special models, but not for rank and file (a la their undead orcs).

Titan Forge has followed up their BB campaign with a full dwarf steampunk army kickstarter! The "Metal Beards":
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1693348960/metal-beards-tabletop-dwarf-army?ref=category
Also a clarification in the comments:
Titan-Forge wrote:Thank you all for support. We did not realize that we will be able to reach goal and first streach goals so fast, but we are excited that you like our project and there are so many dwarfs funs around. We will gather of all your questions and answer to all of them in small update with some photos and model comparison, but:
- minis are about 23mm tall depanding on model assembly
- bases are 20x20mm but we will make some additional sizes
- models will be cast in resin

Also, hopefully Kroot sees this and updates the title . I figured where possible it'd be better to have this in the company's own thread, rather than a new thread just for the KS.

Fast Update wrote:Thank you all for support. We did not realize that we will be able to reach goal and first streach goals so fast, but we are excited that you like our project and that there are so many dwarfs fans around.
We will post any pictures, concepts and WIPs of streach goal units as soon as possible. We dont have everything ready and waiting and we are open for suggestions, ideas and hints etc. so feel free to comment a lot and we will take everything in consideration.
Here is a class comparison. As you can see sizes are similar but gear goes from lightest on the right to heaviest on the left. There can be some inaccuracy due to 3d perspective but heads size can be a good reference - those are exactly the same size on every class.
Some additional info:
- Models will be cast in resin
- Main size of bases is 20x20mm but we will make some more sizes sets to choose from
- There was a small mistake in our Mountain Crushers streach goal info but all of our Metal Beards class have 3 meele gear options each with different name:
Anvilborn - Guards (shield + hand weapon), Berserkers (two hand weapons), Warriors (giant hammer)
Sentinels - Ironshields (shield + hand weapon), Slayers (two hand weapons), Hammerers (giant hammer)
Mountain Crushers -Veterans (shield + hand weapon), Grinders (two hand weapons), Ironfists (giant hammer)
Additionally there are 2 ranged classes for anvilborn - Crossbowman and Gunners.
Every class + gear has unique name. After campaing end all our backers will receive simple form that will help them spend their points. So for example if a backer would like to receive 30 of medium armoured meele models with hand weapon and shield he will need to choose 3 units of Sentinels "Ironshields" and it will be 1050pts from point pool.
Some Q&A:
Q: Are there any parts difference that we get between the anvilborns from support formation/close combat formation and the anvilborn units with the point?as the formation one seems to get all the anvilborn parts, so the 15 models can be build into 2/3 different units? A: Models from Close Combat Formation and Support Formation are normal Anvilborn units so we will ask what kind of weapons you choose. For support unit it will be Gunners or Crossbowman and for close combat unit it will be Berserkers, Warriors or Guards
Q: The units will only come with the single type of weapon correct? So the Anvilborn crossbow unit only comes with the crossbows correct? I am looking at these primarily for RP as guards to dwarf mines and such. Will these units be available later in smaller quantities then 10 per? Something along the lines of 5 models per? A: Correct. But we are quite flexible and if needed we will add option of 5-man units.
Q: Does the 300 and 350 points get you a unit of 10 miniatures or just 1 miniature from the 10? A: Those points get you unit of 10(+2 free as we reached streach goal) models.
Q: Any chance we could get an idea as to how many "points" those clever shadow outlines of the cannons are going to be? A: We will add soon simple table with units points costs that will include hidden units.
