next is with the blade on, still in a packed away look, this may well sit on the deck like this, not thought yet, i may make 2 in this look.
and now how it will look on a lift.

Really cool Waz! This puts that already godawful FW model to a broiling pit of oozing shame festering with lice and maggots.
I'd like to know, where did you get the backup gun from? I know that it's from the old boyz kit that had 16 boyz in it, but is it just old or from a bits seller?

Hey Waz, have you seen the new ork Bommer's from Games Workshop? I think they would fit in with your aircraft carrier quite nicely

Ok guys, here we go, the start of a very long trip, hope you all join me and have fun on the way
MY ORK DESTROYER
ok so what is it? well its at ship that hovers in the air and kills everything, the plan is to make something that looks like the photo's below but Ork style, its as simple as that. its not going to follow any GW rules, its just a show model.
i am trying to make it look like it flys, or Hovers with the will of the orks, we will see how i get on.
ok, first off i need 2 Ork Stompa kits (ouch !!££!£!!£) i first strip off the main body of the stompa and build this up, if your going to follow this, then this part is important, so take your time, just building the body of my ship tock me 5 hours.
so once you have the first half made, using bits of the sproo, the 2nd half should be really easy, as just have a 3D model to copy lol the back of my ship is just a tad different from the front, im sure you can guess why.
then i joined both parts together, for this you need to set them down with support (white plastic bag) make sure your happy with the shape, the stick gak loads of sproo on it to give it support, do this with out moving the model, let it dry before moving it.
now the whole model is taking shape, its at this stage you can still play with it if your not happy, but i am, so im cracking on.
ok next is filling in all the gaps, making them look like welds and other stuff orky, crap job, take your time, and once done, leave to dry, this is done using Milliput, its very strong and helps support it too, making the whole model stronger.
i love the shape so far, if i filed in all the holes, i swear it would float
not sure yet whats going to be going on at the back, maybe some orks fast roping down from it or a depth charge thing going on, not sure
ok guys, hope you like so far, all im going to ask, is start thinking of a name, the last one was called "the belly buster" so lets have a good one like that.
The Belly Buster

ok guys thanks for all the nice comment and love already, bloody hell ive only just started this
ok Update day 3
i needed to make a flat surface on the top of the ship, it makes it easier to work with, and also i can start to think about magnets and what goes where, so what i did was get an A4 size sheet of plastic card and lay it on the top, fine the 4 points at which it is sitting on, mark it and the make a frame and build it up from that.
now i start to build it up with small bits of plastic card, small is easier to work with, however some times a big bit helps.
then at the front i did the same, but hard to prop up one end with an up beam to support it, then build it up again as per the side.
then there was no stopping me, build build build
there was area's that i wasn't happy with, too too battered and bent, so i built them up again, just to making it more boat like
the shape is coming on nicely, hard to see it in a photo, will do a video later
well should get loads more done tomorrow, the flat area will make it so much easyer to work with. Automatically Appended Next Post:
another good name
