Premiums / limited editions usually return in one of the many omnibuses they do. The Iron Warrior premium returned in the Iron Warriors omnibus and the Dark Elf prequel made a return in the Sundering Omnibus.
Not sure about the super-duper-limited-edition Horus Heresy shorts though, those have not been reprint as of yet.

IIRC it'll be in a similar format to the silver editions of Aurelian, so hardback, nice cover etc -- not textured though !-- and sans the artwork in the centre. Oh good - ebook Shadowsun release!
Was hoping that was going to a be a 'first-release' option, so I didn't have to grab a physical book...
EDIT: Nevermind, saw your BL quote that Pre-Orders are generally 1 week in advance.
I assume that's for Ebook versions of Direct Editions as this is?

Two Tau novels released back to back this month by Black Library. I'm surprised and pleased despite all the e-book hardcover limited blah blah shennanigans. Going to be the first BL books I've bought since Betrayer, and that was only because I auto-buy anything written by ADB.

it is quite literally the next thing I'm about to read.
Finished "Traitor's Gorge" which I enjoyed but well.. still don't think it's quite worth the money, but I do like Pedro Kantor and his boys so..
Finished Guy Haley's "Baneblade" book last night which was a solid enough, almost pulp at times, novel, enjoyable enough and worth a 2nd read as/when.
Hoped to have finsihed Chris Wraight's sapce wolf book, got about 1/3rd of the way through it and then a SW playing friend of mine who I showed it to -- well crowed about owning it really -- "accidentally" took it home with him last week and I'm yet to get it back.
.. there's a moral here somewhere. Possibly.

I believe it features Tau characters heavily and is Tau-centric even if they're the "antagonists", you don't get much Tau stuff in BL period, it's usually Space Marines vs. Chaos or Orks.

I wish BL would write novels *from the Tau perspective*, particularly during the Damocles Crusade era.
They've dones so with Eldar a few times (or so I hear), so why not with the Tau?

Mephiston just came in the mail today.
It actually is a good wee package. Not £35.00 good, but still pretty neat.
You get a fairly solid case/sleeve for the book - a bit like the Vraks or Badab War things
A short story, "Eclipse of Hope" which is a lot like your Games Day chap-books.
An A5-ish art print of the book cover.
Then the hardback book itself which is now under the title of "Lords of the Space Marines." The side of the Dust Jacket covers the full length of the book, not just the covers - which are red and feature the BA symbol. There's also a ribbon bookmark in it.
Finally, the last pages of the book are a multi page pullout of the front cover image on one side and a breakdown of Mephistons armour on the reverse. - To be perfectly honest, this is a bit disappointing, I could have done with another piece of artwork, rather than the cover *again* and, pullouts do my head in as they always end up getting slightly crushed.
Oh... and I got #15 of 2434 and it's signed.

Waterstones in the UK now has the larger paperback (is it 'trade paperback') version of Betrayal as part of their 'buy one, get one half price' deal - no other BL books falling under that offer as far as I know, but they have lots of other sci-fi/fantasy books included as well as general new releases.

Hope she is not portrayed as an emotional maniac chosen to lead an army of rational tau, like the trailer suggests.
Started reading The Greater Good. More Tau info than previous reviews let me expect. While the inbook comments are written by a Xenos Inquisitor, they still more or less support the old designer notes, a.o. that Tau view all members of the Tau Empire as equals. But then again, the old Sandy Mitchell Tau novel "For the Emperor" has been the best so far and true to the original concept.

I thought it was considerably better than the Flesh tearer novella, which had some nice ideas and moments but kinda came unstuck somewhere along the line, I think it tried to tell too many stories at once maybe ? And some of the actions didn't feel quite right to me, especially for marines of that era. That said I've quite enjoyed some of his other FT tales and will have a look at further stories of his as/when. I know one of his book or books deals with a little bit of fluff from the demon codex....
.. incidentally I think we might well see a bit more "cross pollination" between codices, rulebooks and BL releases.
Shadowsun is dealing with some emotional concerns --- clue is in the title really .
Nice to read something that is/was a bit smaller in scope, more personal if you follow me, yet is still dramatic.

Captain Arcadese of the Ultramarines finds himself in command of a host of his battle-brothers, as the renegade Warmaster's fleet launches its final assault on the Throneworld. Actually I always really liked the idea of marines being spread all around the galaxy - it somehow seemed more plausible than them running around in a bustling crowd from place to place and chasing the action, like school kids playing soccer at lunchtime.
