Subject: Papa-Nid: Welcome to the Jungle, we got Eldar, Tyranids, Dark Eldar, Necrons, Undead, Ogres...
Ok will see what I can do over the week. Need to get motivated with life stuff as well so things may be periodical, just to warn you... Though currently failing big with that and falling into hobby stuff as a default :-/

And remember, blame Panda, LDD or Vik for everything...
Thanks for the welcome, I'm sure I will enjoy my stay.
I've had a bit of a glance through everything in the blog view, and some of your work is absolutely awesome. In Particular I liked the Flying Hive Tyrant you did, but the thing that really got me inspired was that Mawloc bursting out of the ground... fantastic work!
Keep it up

It's cool, we as dakka are ever patient. Not really, but we will pretend. As many of us have said, real world comes first. An incredible narrow close for first.. hobby almost made it. Like a hairs width for most.

Tis a shame, but that pesky life thing gets in the way
Automatically Appended Next Post: Blerg... The Tyranid kinder egg is a pain in the buttholio...
I've not known a model need so much GS that wasn't additional work chosen to be done to it... and yes, I assembled it properly
Hope to get it done tonight/today/tomorrow, depending on time zone and laws of physics... who knows, at this rate, I may have it done by last week...
Also realised I needed to add two more tiny tentacles to the Mucolid... so, that got unfinished fast

Wow, seeing everything you have set out like that is impressive!
Some great armies you've got there... and a lot of work ahead to paint them up
And I'll take a punt at your conversion weapon. Tyrannofex arm, barbed strangler sac with venom cannon tube, MC venom cannon, and swarmlord bone sabre as the bayonet. If your asking what model you had an older version of this on... I have no idea sorry as I haven't read all your thread...yet

You've got the parts down to a tee there, My hat is off to you on that one... I'll admit I'd forgotten and had to look at it again lol. I'll give you a gold star just for that

I'm afraid not click the spoiler to know more
Spoiler:
It's my take on the old Second Edition Hive Tyrants Venom Cannon ^.^
I've a thing for classic models in my bug army lol
Issues. Is that post was not nearly photogenic enough due to lack of paint. But holy cow, excellent collection there. Excellent conversions all around.

Yeah me and paint have an odd relationship... it happens when it happens.
I've always been more of a modeller and gamer. I love the feeling of assembling and converting models, it just feels so good to make something tbh. can't describe it really.
"Your mumblings are awakening the sleeping Dragon, be wary when meddling the affairs of Dragons, for thou art tasty and go good with either ketchup or chocolate. "
Dragons fear nothing, if it acts up, we breath magic fire that turns them into marshmallow peeps. We leaguers only cry rivets!

Yeah... the plan is to buy everything, then paint. Nearly at my limits of everything tbh. Though I do intend to do some painting in the not to distant future.
As I want to knuckle down to getting Deathleapers assassination brood done, and the crazy spore mine list ive planned lol.
Never mind that where are the ogre pics you promised
O my BAD did not realise there was an ependage I mean appended post LOL
Awesome stuff damn you must be either minted or robbing banks in your spare time ( that was the gap period doing hard time was we ) either way you got your work cut out and I think I just fell in love with Eldar
Nice start on the ogres all though a wee bit thin on the ground, plus I am sure the one at the front is a barmaid from around here
Ok just zoomed in on your undead standard wow now that is cool like the way you have created the face and scraggy cloth ends nice work indeed

Hah, well I had some inheritence, so invested in some things I knew I'd never part with. Camera, Holidays, Resin Crack...

I knew there was a reason I didnt go south of the river...

Haha cheers, Im really pleased with it tbh. I first started with a peice of plasticard with the shapes cut from it, then moulded it with a hair drier... irony there, thats for sure... then I gs'd the rest.
It's gotten a fair whack of attention tbh which makes me feel i've done right by it. plus you can litterally tell the magic item by looking at it lol.
It was fine piece and deserves the attention it so rightfully gets that is a hell of a way to create a banner shame you never took any WIP pics i would have liked to seen that process.
Also standards can become a bit flat and lost but this really catches your eye, yes she is a bit rough but I think she comes from your neck of the woods to be honest ...... well Scunthorpe at least

sorry, it was done over a few days, on a whim really... like most of my stuff, so rarely gets wip shots.

Well, another painting approach is to paint and set the scheme for the army, then all models that come after get the same touch

Oh i know shas, for the most part schemes are set, I just don't have a lot of motivation for painting. I'm far more into the build and conversion aspect of the hobby. That's not to say I won't paint. As I do have times I enjoy it.
WELCOME BACK! Glad to see ya back man really enjoyed watching your bug progress...really dig what you did to the new ones . at any rate looking forward to the new stuff.
