Well, as I've been told, the friendly fire is the games way of punishing you for not playing well enough.

But yeah, kinda curious as to how they'll ship the other stat cards. I really like the current format they use for them.

if it were a RPG the friendly fire rules would be laughable, but it works as a board game mechanic. It's easy to kill zombies. It's easy to avoid zombies, as long as you plan ahead. If you get over run by zombies you screwed up, or the zombies got an extra action card. It would just be too easy if you could just unload firearms into the zombie horde while they are trying to rip your firends apart.

Yeah need to get my head round the rules now, never my strongest ability.

Wow, the standard box game is amazing the abomination additions are fantastic. Import Duty instantly forgotten!

The big question Is: to paint or not to paint?

The minis are great quality and I'm impressed by the resin used. Paint for me I think.

I am thinking about painting them, but I would want a quick and easy method for them. They seem perfect for the Army Painter way, but they don't have a zombie skin base spray.

The Army Painter wrote:Well, we try to Rotate the primers around a bit, so Retailers will not feel obliged to carry an enormous amount of different sprays at any one time.

I don't think they quite understand the business they're in.

Me I think that the zombies are ideal for Grayscale.

I've just been experimenting with doin that with the Dark Vengeance cultists. Should work a great and take no time at all with an airbrush. Still it's allot of minis to check and clean up, but there doesn't seem to be too much (any!) flash, just smoothing off vents and the like.

The characters I'm not so sure about, the coloured resin kinda looks good but if the bad guys are painted then why not the goodies. Not sure I have he time or ability to do them justice?

What do you mean by Army Painter way? Is this a specific method or just their colours sprays followed by their dip?

I have a skin mix that I use for my Raven Guard and for an AdMech Organic Dread that is a grey base that is mixed with just enough bleached bone and skin to make it seem "kinda alive...at some point" and wrong.

But considering that this is for a board game and with that many zombies I don't want to hand paint all of them. The "spray, paint, dip" version would fit them perfect.

Eyup. You spray them in one colour, pick out the details with a few others, then dip the minis, base them and call it a day.

Well, even though I thought I wasn't going to put the effort in to painting the zombies, I just couldn't resist all that unpainted plastic (though it means I further put off finishing my Italians). Already got 1 set (row on the trap) done, and starting on my second.

Just got the following message
Hi,
We’ve been getting repeated emails asking us about:

1. Eva
2. Claudia
3. Ivy
4. Marvin
5. Troy
6. Eagle
7. Cardboard Tube Samurai
8. Zombie Promo Survivors

In the interests of efficiency, we’re sending out (yet another) reminder about this.
As stated in the Zombicide Kickstarter, and in our updates, these ship in April 2013.
Also, for US backers that had rewards shipped before Gencon, you are again reminded that your T-shirts will ship in April 2013.

Once again, thank you for backing Zombicide!

I got my game here just last week and it looks good & I'm happy with it & happy I pledged - but gah derm they've got some snarky people working PR. They make it sound like they're bending over backwards for us to post a simple update reminder. :p

I consider myself somewhat computer literate/internet savvy & I didn't remember off-hand exactly what was supposed to be in the box. I've pledged and followed 5 kickstarters since Zombicide and the KS page isn't exactly the easiest to navigate and refer back to information.

I also got my Kings of War box yesterday and it had a printout listing what was in the box and a reminder of when the other pledge rewards would ship. That was handy. Can't remember if there was one in Zombicide as well.

NERDRAGE over waiting for my Tshirt until next year!!!!!111

lol jk

Game is super fun, we started making custom characters with the blank pdf's they provided. Should be enough to stay busy with the game until the next wave hits. Must... play... Troy+Eagle...

Boomstick and Roundhouse in the same area is so much awesome it might open a wormhole to the dimension of pure win!

I have been creating some new characters and equipment myself, and I was wondering if you have started printing the character cards? If so, do you know what size to print them at to get them the right size? I have been refraining finishing my cards because I am unsure what size I need to print them at.

After deciding to skip on this, simply because I already have way more zombie figures than I know what to do with, I was wondering how the rules stack up to other popular rule sets? I've played "All Things Zombie," "Zombies!!!" and "Last Night on Earth." Would it be worth picking up just for the rules?

Have not printed cards yet, sorry. The pdfs are actual size at 100 percent, cards too as far as I can tell. You could print on light cardstock with a regular printer and get very usable results, I'll test fire some this weekend hopefully.

Waiting to get some new miniatures from trades and purchases to cover our ideas. Getting quite a few minis from Copplestone Castings in our first ideas: A SWAT Team, A Skater Gang, and of course... bikini girls with machineguns...

I think it's a step up from ATZ and Zombies!!! and I like both of those games. Much simpler mechanics and plays smoother than ATZ,. Shares the scavange everything and zombies on autopilot concepts of ATZ. ZOMBIES!!! is competitive between players, Zombicide is co-operative . Zombicide players can turn on each other if they like, but there is no respawn like ZOMBIES!!!, so it would make for very short counterproductive sessions if they did.

Since someone brought up the T-Shirts:

I got mine with my box, and it says it was an XL. But if it is XL I am the King of Lundinia, and I demand a shiny hat to go with my shirt. Lol.

It is a Medium at best. Anyone else have any issues with shirt sizes?

Or possibly Asian sizes.

I know when I order from Cospa I have to get an XL when I normally would get a Medium.

Yeah my shirt is a bit snug. I had assumed this being a US product the shirts would be huge alas this is not the case.

My 2XL is actually smaller than a normal UK one which are usually tent like on my svelte frame...

When Tshirts run small they like to market them as "athletic fit".

I guess I'll turn mine tinto a little flag or something...
