This blows me away, I love this work, I can see the centaur units being the thunderwolves, I can just see that, they make cool bikers but it's just my humble opinion

With blood and rage of crimson red,
Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead,
Together with our hellish hate,
We'll burn you all--That is your fate!

I saw this dude on Ebay and I just had to have it (just for the “lol” factor)…. Probably not going to use it for anything but for some reason it just need to be in the army.

Then and now….

More excellent work. the centigors are fantastic!

Regarding the Terminator, maybe try and reverse wher the heavier plate goes? On humans, we have big shin plates because thats what runs into stuff first. On digitigrade legs maybe the thigh and hoof armour should be bulked up rather than the shin armour? It will also help with the fact that Terminator thighs are stupidly slender, even compared to normal Marine thighs

What about repurposing Crisis Suit legs? and adding more of an organic lower leg? That would fit quite nicely with the stealth suit legs on the normal PA Beasties.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Cooo! I haven't seen one of those Imperial beast men for a long time, that came out back in the early 90's - possibly a rarity?

yep... it was rediculously expencive at the end of the bidding....then there was the shipping and tax in thailand as well... oh well.... I'm wanting the other two rare beastmen 40k models as well but they are soo hard to find and I'm kind of afraid of the pricing when I do find them.....

Right after ALOT trial and error, going foward and back with a lot of random ideas and form what you all suggested (thank you for that really appreciate it and it was alot of help! ) and this is what I’m going with-

I left them all without helmets because they are basically meant to be squad leaders.... I notice this with most if not all miniature wargames -not just warhammer- that the captain, squad leaders, and alot of the characters (including terminator captains) of the squad is the one that dont ware head protection..... this dont make too much sense but I'm going with that "tradition" thus no helmets.... (if any one can tell me why this is the way it is-it would be very much appriciated- cuz personal logic in me thinks that the sergent or the capatin is important and should be protected if not more protected ....)

Any ways... now to do this 15 more times…..

The idea behind the blade is that it could flick back and forth. It’s back when the dude needs to operate something, shooting or just walking around, and it flick forward when he’s fighting in combat.

Just for what it’s worth- this is how I do capes-

I first put some insta-mold (this stuff-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ub70AU5RfmI) into hot water spread it out a bit, then using the end of a paint brush- make flowing marks going up and down (or however you want the cape lines to flow).

Now mix up some green stuff and using water flatten it in your hand till you get the right thickness or thinness you want for your cape (the water is just so it wont stick). Once that is done place it over the insta mold and whit a rubber clay tool or you fingers and water push the green stuff in so it takes the shape.

Once the green stuff cures properly it will stay in that shape. now trim the piece down to the size and shape you want. When I usually do this step I trim it so that the cape is a lot shorter than it needs to be for a later step.

glue them on to the back of the model

using green stuff I outline roughly where the cloth will flow on the model’s body.

Using the metal tool start to blend the new green stuff into the bottom bit of the cape and with the knife end do some cloth marks.

Then use the rubber tool to flatten or smooth the cloth out and also do final blending. So that there are no sharp edges…. Unless you want them to have sharp edges…. Experiment yourself and have fun with it…

This process can be done on any scale really… I did this for my Gorebull (Wolf guard pack leader on a thunder wolf.)

You can also add texture onto it like fur (I talked about how to make fur a few post ago) or runic type of thing like this guys-

Any way back to the termies.
Horns…

Legs-

this joint hinge on the leg can be used to add more details for other things too like side of tanks, side of guns, armor details etc. simply just this-

Once that dries just pop them out and stick them on anything you want.

In the army I’m thinking of I use 16 terminators- 15 with frost weapons, and one with a cyclone missile.

Now all I need to do is some cleanup work and get painting finally…

Wow. I love the Terminators! For the greenstuff sculpting, do you use an armature as a base? My free standing sculpts always seem to be quite bendy and flimsy after they've set, so I'm curious how yours are done.

Thats a lot of green
I apsulutely love them, they're awesome.
For the helmless sergeants and guys, I think they sometimes keep their helmet of to show their troops personality and get more of a bond with them. not sure thought. I mostly give my sergeants helmets although I gave some of my beakies swappable heads for fun so I could swap between helmed head and bare head.

unless I'm doing a full sculpt from scratch or a weapon with long handles- I don't really use any armature... Personally I think the natural bendy-ness of the green stuff is the thing that makes it strong and not as breakable as say white, or grey stuff. we as modlers and player just gets paranoid about the bendyness of the it- thinking it might break off or paint will flake off because of it- but it wont really.... well not any more than the usual ware and tear of usage of the model.

But if you still want it to be "stiffer" I usually just soak part of it with a layer of super glue once the green stuff cures... I did that with the bottom part of the terminator wolf guard frost blades. when the glue dries it, along with the greenstuff becomes harder... just becareful of dripping and pooling of the super glue. if it does just use something to scrape it off the drop (not tissue paper !!!!). you can do it with the cape too but I didn't bother. hopes that helps a bit

There are around two hundred odd people either playing or just modeling here in Thailand... Mainly they are around Bangkok but you get some of them all over really. There are stores in chiangmai, phuket, pattaya and all that but there are around 5 or 6 dotted around in Bangkok. So yeah we kind of have a small to medium sized community I guess- but compare to like England or other western country it’s very small I guess….

I own a warhammer shop, and I can tell you that the numbers are growing more and more lately, especially with the new edition of 40k.

Ok- I can only apologies to everybody reading this blog for what I’m about to do…. It’s shameless advertising- I know- but built it all from scratch so it’s my baby…..

Here’s my shop!!!!!

Shop’s diorama (every shop NEEDS one!!!)

Table that doubles for lockers to rent so people don’t have to hull their army back and forth.

Will you ever do something based on FW stuff or FW counts as for this army. And even if you don't what would you considered doing if you did?
