Nice Pacific! And fantastic post, Fidel... I need to shoot at buildings before sending in my fragile Scourge infantry next time. PHR troops just murder them!
Yep shooting at buildings is a very good tactic, in the two games I've had so far I've used it in both, simply to weaken infantry, and very effective it can be too. UCM Rapiers are particularly good at it with 3 shots each at power 7 they're going to damage something.

You are scourge... don't you have demolisher on almost every dropship
But yes it is an amazing tactic. Unless your facing something like Sirens (3+ dodge to rubble... shouldn't be assaulting them anyway) its a nice way to weaken immortals for your scourge units. Try this next game, take all your dropships and combine fire on one building that the immortals hold and that you are going to assault. Then see what happens when all of a sudden there is one base left
Aw and thank you for saying I had a fantastic post...

Cool, i hate cleaning resin. i was going to go with a desert yellow really dirty and weathered scheme at first, but I figured the sleeker look the models have would look better with a shiney brand new look.
Did you order your stuff through mikhaila, Necros?
I got some items from the Warstore but nothing shipped from Miniature Market but the rulebook. I have a feeling it's going to be several weeks more... hopefully not longer than that.
Yep, just picked it all up today Mike had a few other starters available now too out on the counter and some blisters in the back. I grabbed a pack of Trions taranises too
Still no movement on my large army order from Hawk, but really enjoying working with these 6 type-2 walkers that I picked up locally.
Loving the sculpts very much. I'm pretty sure these are first wave, theres a few flaws here. The little optics / targetting arrays below the noses of two the walkers have bubbles and i kinda had to cut them back a bit and use some green stuff, and theres some flaws in the vents at the back.
Out of the 6 models, only two of them have had these issues. The rest is totally fine.
....the Enyos look the best, I think. Big heavy cannons with chunky ammo belts. They look very serious
Hey guys, just a quick question about terrain if I may?
Firstly, has anyone printed and made the terrain downloadable from the website yet, and if so what are their thoughts on it?
Secondly, about the use of N gauge terrain from model railways. Looking at it scale wise obviously N gauge is too big (I mean, I've used some of it for Flames of War, which is 15mm as opposed to DZC's 10mm, and even that sometimes looks too big). However, does anyone know of any N-gauge apartment/factory buildings (preferably cheap!) or something similar that would provide a good template for DZC terrain?
Thirdly and finally, having a quick look through the rules it looks like buildings are pretty important for the way the game works. What kind of ratio are people going for of buildings to rural areas etc?
In any case, what does everyone think about starting some kind of 'DZC terrain' thread in the Misc. Wargaming section? Think it might be really beneficial for anyone coming into the game!
I've started a new thread in the Misc. Miniature Games section of the forum to serve as a compilation of terrain building & buying if anyone who has experience would like to post there! Hopefully it can be useful for new players coming to DZC

It looks great as all hell, but a pain in the ass if you do know anything about papercraft In all seriousness though I really like it. The detail is great, the color is great, and it is really not to difficult to put together if you have done arts and crafts in school. As far as how it looks... well why don't you judge for yourself when you see this thread:

Thirdly, as it is anew game... no one knows - it is really up to your own discretion. Just remember that some armies will begin to get more powerful while others get weaker. For example, too little terrain and weaker tanks like the Shaltari/Scourge will be chewed up by the long range firepower of the PHR.... too many buildings and the PHR are not gonna have a fun time due to their slowness (And their inability to cross long sections of building.
Anyone know what the little plastic pegs are for for the flying stands? It looks like you can stick the rod into the hole in the base, and in the ship.. can't figure out what the other little pegs are supposed to be for.. just a little extender?

Yes. You can glue the pegs on the ship, and then all you have to do is stick the peg in there for easy taking apart/putting in case. With PHR, the pegs blend in, other races not to sure.

Awesome, thanks for that Necros! If anyone else has any info on buildings they are using (either bought or made), please post them in this thread in the 'Misc Games' section of the forum!
Miniature Market decided to complete and/or refund everyone's orders for dropzone commander.
This same week, The Warstore seemingly got stock of everything in.
So, my Miniature Market order got fully refunded (rather than having half shipped to me) and my friend's is being fulfilled by The Warstore.
Rather frustrating! I just ordered a Shaltari mega deal direct with my refund, as I'm switching to Shaltari instead of Scourge (our Shaltari player moved away from the area, and it was my first choice after all ). But that was a long wait to have my order cancelled!
Will stick to The Warstore (who seem to have a higher priority for stock) or direct orders for this game from now on. I still like Miniature Market for other things, and I was glad they offered a full refund (rather than store credit or just continuing to hold onto my money!). But now that I know The Warstore doesn't withdraw funds until things come in stock, it seems like they'd be a better way to go for me to fill things out, if I decide I need anything else beyond the mega army deal.

Warstore will generally have a better stock on Dropzone. There is only one distributor bringing in DZC to the united states, E-figures Distribution. This is run by an old friend of mine, Chris Frye, and owned by the Capitano family, of which Neal is a part of. Chris just got a big restock of the Dropzone models. Pretty much instant restock for Warstore, and 24 hours later, a restock for those of us who use E-figures for a distributor.
I'm looking forward to finishing up my Scourge force finally. Wanted to add a few bits to them and get them painted up before really diving into the game.
....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.
