Our friend who's working on the figures for us painted this piece up, we're thinking a Doom-esque horror ship setup with the bright well lit entry for the investigating troops leading into gradually darker and more messed up sections

That looks so so so good Warmill! can you give me any advice as to priming, sealing or texturizing the pieces? I like the way yours look and i'd like to replicate it when I purchase them down the track? are they just airbrushed over the original surface? and how many differing sections are you hoping to offer?

We usually just spray directly on to the MDF, the blue set was done straight on without any sealing, and I'd assume the dark set was as well, although as our friend did that one I'd have to check with him. It was just a case of building up thin coats with an airbrush, so the blue piece was sprayed blue first then the panels were sprayed white from the centre outwards to make them look slightly glowy. The lighting effects on are done by spraying the darkest yellow first then spraying a thin white over it with the heaviest coat at the centre of the light then fading out. There's no real trick to it, just building up thin layers

The black on the dark one was done with some fancy auto-air paints, because there's a metallic undercoat with a thin black sprayed on top that looks flat in the flesh but reflects the light as you turn it towards the light or use flash photography, as the photo looks much more silver than the real piece does.

Our friend who designed the corridors (we can only claim credit for doing all the boring work sadly ) has provided us with small, medium and large straight pieces, a dead end, a corner, a t junction, a 4-way crossroads, and large rooms ranging from 1 to 4 exits (although you can use corridor bits to build up much larger rooms as well), as well as bulkhead door that can be fitted pretty much anywhere. All in all it's a pretty genius design and we're gluing bits together as quick as we can to build a 4'x4' board for some Infinity scenarios

Here's a quick pic of some of the other components for the corridors, it's been all hands on deck building loads of them for our display board. The parts shown here are the t-junctions and crossroads, but even with just those 2 parts you can see how bigger setups can be built. Ed currently has a pile of corners and 1x2 and 2x2 straight bits he's spraying up, and I've just roped my girlfriend into building a load of corridor dead ends and bulkhead doors with me which we will get pics of when we reconvene.

i couldn't resist putting a few Mantic corporation troops in there

Edit: Forgot to say that it is looking pretty damn awesome

May eventually have to get a set of this rather than some Hirst Art moulds as these actually look pretty much exactly how I would want space corridors to look - have you been stealing my brain pictures again?

I think some thin service corridors, half width minor corridors, and even some "air vents" (very small corridors which could clip onto the tops of the walls?) would really set this design off and allow you to do a hell of a lot with it.

Some kind of slot on front piece so you could join these corridors onto others along an existing wall would also really make this much more modular. I will do a little sketch as even I don't understand what I mean with this

The total size of the bits shown there is just over 500mm square, so a little over 1.5' each side.

That air vent idea is pretty nifty, Ed's already been working on big air vents that fit in the groove like your second picture to allow minis to cross through the walls into adjacent corridors. I think you've been stealing OUR brain pictures!

We'll get some pictures of a more interesting setup once we get together, we just need to cut a bunch of long straight sections and we have a selection of all the corridor parts ready to paint, minus the rooms will be along slightly later.

Guys, talk about excited! I was a little disheartened that my FleshEaters army was nearly finished to company strength and was looking to start another army for this year, but now i'll save my coins and work out how much to buy for a good sized table! I know being 'Down Under' it's going to cost me an arm and a leg to get it but I really must have these coridoors! it's as some have mentioned ' just like you've been stealing our brain pictures'

All of this stuff is great, but I'm continuing my personal Warmill Boycott until the elevated roads are released...

Those corridors are looking better and better! They remind me of the FW ones but these are more modular. Any rough estimate of when we can be seeing them for sale?

Here be more images for you to feast your eyes on! Just happens that we need more components, more dead ends, more corners, more everything! Unfortuantly I dont get any longer to paint the things! :(

Sexy.
Any plans for a flat component to replace the column thing (in the middle of the 2x2 room in your last pic for instance) to make large open spaces?

Also, how big a footprint does the layout in that last pic cover? My Jack Russel Head to Foot conversion calculator is at home.

OMG the corridors are brilliant... I may have to crack and make a quite sizeable warmill purchase sooner than later now... You guys are really, genuinely doing brilliant, innovative work with the technology, I really respect the thought and creativity you put into your designs.

In short, big fan, and seem to be getting bigger every year!

I count 26 squares left to right and 29 top to bottom - each square is 40mm.

So that's W 1040mm x H 1160 Which is pretty large!
