I'm just like the little robotic panther of disappointment, eh?  Never gonna happen, Trolls can only be controlled by Trollkin 'Locks because of the racial connection. It's less likely than Rhul becoming a faction. Personally not sad my Gators won't cause I freakin' hate the model.

The Croak doesn't look like a smaller Great Unclean One without the skin problems and with Popeye arms. And I HATE Nurgle aesthetics. Plus, aside from his tongue and one arm, he's just kinda sitting there like a fat load.

Or because Trolls already have +2 ARM from the krielstone another +2 from the Earthborn animus and Janissa's wall, and 2 more if you're running eGrissel, on her feat, in melee (corner case). So our beasts can already get jacked up.
But I think you may be right about the minion-ness of this :-/. Would trolls still be able to take it? I've never taken / see anyone take a minion beast so I'm not sure if/how that works... although I've seen plenty of minion units taken.

Trolls can ONLY be controlled by Trollkin 'Locks. It's a basic tenet of Trollblood fluff. Since it's clearly not a Black Troll(it's way too alive), it's not a Minion Beast. IF we ever got a Black Troll, I have a feeling it would be a Minion solo. And if it WAS a Beast(through some sort of extended Dominate Undead), It would most likely have some sort of "life gain by model kill" Animus to reflect their overpowering desire and dependence on blood that drives them.

Because it doesn't look a thing like a Swamp Troll? Also, size-wise its not that big (there were far older WIP pics posted some months back next to some Circle beasts, it wasn't that big).
Since it's clearly not a Black Troll(it's way too alive), it's not a Minion Beast.

The Bronzeback animus (move 1" after hitting something) is going be obscene with this feat. Barring bad attack rolls or tough checks, a warbeast can eat it's way through whole units with this combination. Molik Karn in particular, with his reach weapons and Side Step.
