I like it for the absurdness of it. It's making me want to get in gear on redoing my Legion after being disappointed in the look of some of the recent releases (Afflictor :( ).

Seriously, technically pretty nice, but I can't get behind that concept at all... I think it looks absurd, and not in the over the top cool way.

What precisely do you find wrong with Lylyth Claus?* I think she looks awesome, a little 2D in places, esp. on the cloak, but still awesome.

*Guys, in a hipster-ish way like you're just noticing she looks like the Iron Kingdom's answer to Santa; people that frequent the PP boards have been calling her the above name since we saw her concept art.

Not to my tastes, but I think it's a great model nonetheless.

You know, I saw this the other day, thought "meh" and made a Narnia joke, but didn't actually realize why I didn't like it much till just now.

Where do I look? There is just so much fiddle and stuff all over, I hardly know where to focus on, like the whole thing is covered in digital camouflage. Maybe it is just the paint and small size, but it really seems WAY too busy for me. :(

Master Tormentor

St. Louis

Since the skorne arrived in western Immoren, countless warriors and slaves have met their ends in the slavering jaws of a pack of reptile hounds, vicious pack hunters that the skorne enjoy setting upon lone warbeasts and enemy champions. Many foes have been demoralized after seeing their mightiest heroes or greatest beasts torn to pieces by a pack of these scaled predators. Even the most resilient creatures often find their natural powers of regeneration no match for the crushing strength of a reptile hound’s jaws; a pack of them working in concert can swiftly reduce even a hulking satyr to a pile of bloody bones.

Hmm, wish they looked more like the old Witchfire ones...

@Grimtuff
-evil raindeer armor makes them look even less believable/cool
-the sled blades would not actually work and the blades and scythes are really ugly/thick
-the scythes and rams make it look like an assault vehicle
-it still looks top-heavy
-there are a ton of things going on
-there's a reason we don't use sleds, and I think it has something to do with them not being very all-terrain

...also, I don't really like Legion color schemes.

I can't really tell the angles in the picture well, but it looks like those reptile hounds would be blind to anything directly in front of them. Otherwise, hey, angry lizard bull dogs are cool.

Just a quick note- sledges, when being pulled by hooved animals, are actually much more all-terrain than wheeled vehicles are. The longer contact points (despite less surface area) means they don't get stuck on things like roots and rocks as easily, and disperses the weight over a larger area (in a way). And for sleds, the sharper the blade of the sled is, the better it moves over frozen surfaces.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

I'll take your word on them working all-terrain, since I don't have proof otherwise (and I understand the principle for sharper sled blades), but still don't find the sled design at all believable...

True, Arctic natives used sleds all year, winter and summer.

Sharpened sled blades would be daft though, since they'd require solid ice to work. Also, those jagged sled blades as seen in the model would make the sled pretty useless as they would get caught on everything....

There is also no way two Reindeer could wear all that armour AND pull that sled. Reindeer are pretty lightweight animals, they don't have anywhere close same raw strength as a horse.

But it's possible they're Santa Reindeers. They're much stronger...

spiralingcadaver, you are totally right. Not sure what they're thinking with the plastic light trollbloods. Glad I have the metals

I feel the opposite way about the plastic trollblood heavy kit, though. It's absolutely fantastic (with the exception of the Mauler variant) so it's perplexing why the lights are so bad.

its funny you say that.. I'm actually rewatching Ghostbusters atm, and just got to the Gozer Hounds attack scene.

And No, the Skorne hounds don't really look that much like the Gozer Hounds.

I have a hard time with most Troll models (barring Boomhowlers, which I love). I really want to like them, because I've had the faction used against me to great effect, but there is just something about them I can't quite put into words that keeps me from wanting to play them.

I like the trolls, and all, but it's like they described vaguely what they wanted trolls to look like to a half-dozen different sculptors who didn't talk to each other and didn't look at each other's work...

Hey now . I think the trollblood faction is amazing, just not these new plastic lights! Much of it I find looks better in-person than in pictures, too.

@RiTides

Oh, 100% with you, and they're my favorite Hordes faction, I just also think that they have by far the most inconsistent sculpts in the entire line. They have some of the best and worst sculpts, and wildly different proportions.

http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gallery/trollbloods/warbeasts/night-troll

Blinded by generations in subterranean lairs, night trolls rely on other senses to stalk their prey under cover of darkness. When trollkin warlocks impel them to venture out into the daylight they can become lethal allies. Even enemies fortunate enough to survive an encounter with one of these terrifying creatures are forever haunted by the memory of it hypnotizing their comrades and tearing them apart with venomous, paralyzing claws.

I'm from the future. The future of space

I don't think there's a single troll warbeast I like the look of since they swtiched to this style. It's a neat idea, but everything about it is just so overdone.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
