Read closely, I say they hold Citadel as a TM, do they have also a TM then to 城塞 in Japanese, Ciudadela in Spanish, معقل in Arab, etc etc? I don´t think so.
Plus big marks used to have to register their TMs in all the countries they wanted to hold a TM but then I admit that I´m behind my TM laws (that were in Spanish Law and years ago).

Sure, but I don't think you can register/trademark a name and then expect it to also cover all translations of that word and all alternative spellings in all parts of the world.

After all, "Coke" isn't a real word, and the "Coca" is combined with "Cola".

Is it just me, or do I remember Chapterhouse's Alt-Turrets being cheaper? $17 and you get all the variants and magnets to mount them. Using these would cost me a lot more than $17 after getting all the variants

Great if you want 1 Razorback and can't decide on loadout.

If I want 5 specific guns that's $55 from these guys or $87.5 from Chapterhouse.

That doesn't adress the point at all though. If you have 5 Razorbacks and can't decide on the load out this company would be even more expensive. $87.5 would give us all the options for all 5 tanks, how muc would you have to spend on these to get all the options?

It addresses the point perfectly. You buy from whichever place covers your specific needs better. Choice is good. What a concept

I should probably make a small order from these guys when I get paid next - before GW C&Ds them into oblivion. That particular variation on the 2-headed eagle is really close to another particular companys' symbol...

While I agree in part - the stylized version is pretty "familiar" I would love to see GW lawyers show up in a Polish court and file the paperwork. The Russian Empire, which included Poland - used the double headed eagle as the central part of their standard. It is carved in buildings, churches, printed on money, on official documents and all sorts of other items. Now, the money has changed - but many of the buildings still have the emblem carved in stone (wouldn't be surprised if the court house they went to file in had a few as well). Should give the officer's of the court a good laugh. Granted, it predates the Russians by a few thousand years (Hittites IIRC).

Not to mention that the particular form of the double headed eagle isn't exceptionally unique either. Don't remember the specific section of the regime, but it was in one of the propaganda divisions of the Nazi party that adopted the double headed eagle in a very similar style to that used by GW. You can see it on the cover of this DVD:

http://www.amazon.com/Double-Headed-Eagle-DVD/dp/B0015YY78Q

Not a perfect match - but more than enough to poo all over GW's claims to that particular icon. Plus, Polish courts are not nearly as quick to enforce IP claims against internal companies from external companies (one of the reasons why you see a lot of these types of companies over there).

All of that said - I do like the ammo feed, it adds an extra level of detail that a lot are missing.

True. Makes me wish they'd done power cables on the las/plas and fuel lines (instead of those titchy little cannisters) on the flamer. Or at least plugged the holes in the base.

I'm from the future. The future of space

So far I'm liking this. The stuff they're coming out with is actually pretty cool.

As for the name, I like that too.

The more people that challenge GW's lies about what is their IP the better.

The more choice the better.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

That is really nice! I can't wait for them to move on to some more interesting unique stuff, not that there is anything wrong with what they have atm, it is just a bit predictable!

Yeap, I'm quite familiar with the use of eagles (single and double-headed) throughout European history. It was the particularly familiar one that I was referring to. I've seen that double-headed Nazi eagle before as well, though I thought it was a fictitious variant rather than an actual historical one.

I like those Quad guns. I'll add them to the list. Which is going to take quite some time to get through.

Kroot - I'm sure you'll be happy when they release their Kriegsmarine Orc heads. That would be something new, after all. Has anyone done Luftwaffe Orc heads yet?

Well, to be honest, the Ork big gunz aren't too far off anyhow. Also, the Basilisk is pretty close to an 88 as is. I think the new stuff looks great, and I can see myself buying any of these really.
