LDD is a good guy, he sent me some authentic British mesh. It is slightly different than the hobby mesh we get here in the US.

Thank you!

sooo, i just got a small update for now on my entry. iv'e been looking with a flashlight and magnifying glass for an evergreen scale models reseller here in sweden.
do you guys know how hard that was?! anyway, i've found one pretty good now and just placed an order for some PC goodness.

so now that problem is out of the way.. but i still have some other stuff to buy. like some new drillbits in different sizes. and some new blades for my knifes.

speaking of knives! how on earth do you cut a straight edge on a piece of PC? i can't figure out how to so that, so i always end up with an angle on the edge..
i would really appreciate some advice from you PC-gurus here on dakka

so iv'e started building the the two "arms" (in lack of a better word) that holds up the ramp. it's not done yet. nooo. i got some more work to do on them.
first of all i need to file down some edges and fill some gaps with GS and i've started abit on that already.
i'm also gonna put some more detail on it like rivets, electronic/hydrolic lines, some more plating on the inner side and i'm sure i will come up with some more things to add as i go on.

so without any further delays. here's the pics of it so far. enjoy!

they look kinda high as they are right now. but that's just because i'm gonna have the heavy bolter mounted there aswell.
and my apologies for the bad photos.. i just couldn't bother with getting good ones today. but i promise they will be better later on!

Looks great, looks big too. I know by the time your finished it will be perfect.

As to the PC cutting. If I want accuracy I have a 6" steel square as a guide for cutting. But I don't often worry at accuracy. Best asking a proper master.

Really looking forward to this Russ. Keep it coming.

That is going to be big I have no idea how this will turn out but will watch with interest

I use a square and steal ruler then use several slices rather than forcing the blade, it's not perfect but reduces the angle issue then you can get a sanding block and run the PC side against it to get a smoother finish.

Cam and LDD: yupp it looks really big on the pic. but it's not that big irl.. but i guess it will look quite big when it's finished anyway. :/

Psycho: thank you yeah i thought it would look cool i call it a "katyushope" but i guess i will give it a real name later on. so feel free to help me with that

i've bought some new drillbits now so i can continue a little with the katyushope.

also i just recieved a text that my supplydrop is on it's way!

so soon my friends, soon i will continue on full steam!

Thank you Dave.

So, i've done a little more on the "bunny ears". in fact the outer side of them is done. and now i'm gonna put some detail on the inside.

i've also done some work on the hull. the back is now done.

and i made a slight conversion on the gun barrel too it's not done yet. but let me know what you think.

that's all for now.

Nice work all round, like the bunny ears. Love the detail.

Barrel looks great, maybe a bit long, but that's ok I guess it's meant to be a vanquisher? barrel.

Thank you.

yeah i figured since the ramp itself will have to be some length i thought i'll make the barrel a little longer too. so hopefully when it's all done it wount look so silly
and yes. i'm going for a vanquisher-look on it now. this thing wount really be in close combat since it has it's rockets and stuff so i might aswell put a sniping gun on it while i'm at it.
plus i think it ads alot to the conversion too

shasolenzabi wrote:One heckuva good Leman, and nice use of T-34 external fuel drums!

thank you, thank you

hehe yeah, i think they fit pretty well there on the back

ok, guys! so i think i've reached quite a milestone on this build now! the bunny-ears are done! and so is the barrel. in fact, the tank in whole is DONE!
now it's only a matter of building the rocket-ramp and finish this bad-ass build in time.

i don't have any pics atm.. well, that's not entirely right. i have pics of it but i can't upload them until tomorrow. so tomorrow i will have pics of it up.

so stay tuned!

you say it like it's not supposed to be like that. static sounds is the best we can get around here. in a variety of different ones.
my favorite is the more "blurry" one.

and yes! it arrived just the other day. thank you alot LDD!

Theophony wrote:It will look great when done. Just not as good as a giant hammer though

haha i hope i don't disappoint you then
the hammer would look great.. but i had to let that go. it doesn't really fit with an IG army..
but if i ever start an ork army, that's the first thing i will build!

so pics then?

it's not the straightest of models but i'm just happy i made i all fit without any major fails.
i must say i was really nervous when i were about to drill the holes on the "ears".
