You did it??? YAY! One of us, one of us, one of us...
TBH I'm not planning on painting anything. What I'm planning is having an epic pile of minis to chop up, use as is in D&D, light on fire, whatever strikes me as cool at the time. For this low price, I don't need to worry about messing up and having wasted an expenditure, which keeps me from mucking around too much with GW minis any more.
Speaking of, I may need to get more Griffins for feather wing bits.

Awesome Kickstarter though, most well-managed KS by any tabletop gaming company, ever. Having accountants run the joint definitely helps. I love how they are still able to offer freebies to everyone even at this late stage, by calculating their expenses and making the stretch goals gradually longer so that they can still afford to make the freebies happen.
Id imagine that they could be losing money on a per piece basis, but with 2 million dollars to spend on tooling they could quickly make that back in new sales after the kickstarter rewards have gone out.

This group of vile dark wizards make excellent Character miniatures, or enemy miniatures, whether as bosses or low level wizards to fight! And like the Golems, they're a Bonus!
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!
We are going old school for this next goal. Every Vampire or Undertaker Level pledge will receive Frog God Games pdf of Swords & Wizardry Complete Rules. Play the game the way it was meant to be played... Original edition rules, original edition feel. Put those miniatures to work in this award winning game.

Not too likely. Reaper has been very cautious to make sure that they actually cover their costs and provide for a nest egg to fit their new shop with the tools needed for plastic production.

Nice, I just got my Baby Doll a couple of weeks ago and got word that my Red Skull and Boba Fett will be in next week. Ordered a SDCC Cap as well - he looks great. Speaking of Ehsteve... he's not answering his phone. Ah well. Off to Armies on Parade I guess. See you soon Makaleth. I hope we get that Necromancer group. They're very pretty models. And for the record I put in for the Vampire set, shipping, and the Deep Ones. I'll use the $25 from Sophie to get the Hydra and Frost Wyrm.

I think we've blown reaper's lid. It's pretty clear they were not expecting to take it this far, i mean, look at the map. It's just the same cell now that keeps flipping. I know it takes time to create an original and true extension, but I think they're done. They may have products lines up, but by and large, they're done. I mean, 13'000 orders, on top of what the company already does anyway? seems pretty tall, and probably will keep them busy for a while.

RiTides wrote:Yeah, that's why this one doesn't work for me- so many various different kinds of models, and I could only use a few... but I can see the value overall, I just don't think it would be worth it for me.
I'm a huge, huge bones fan (I have all the releases so far and I'm just finishing up painting the last few) but I won't be participating in the kick starter for a similar reason. If they release them in batches of 12 like the launch, or 4 like the latest release, then I'll probably eventually buy a lot of the range. If March 2013 rolls around and they suddenly dump 60+ releases on the local store, I'll probably get less of them. If I got the kick starter, it'd be even worse as I'd have 200+ miniatures just sitting there as I paint them around my other projects. I find my enjoyment of the miniature wargaming hobby increases when I don't get overwhelmed by the size of my unpainted miniatures pile. I've been working on cutting that down to size and this KS would undo my progress.
I've told about five or six people about it and they all went Vampire though.
And Swords & Wizardry is lots of fun. There's a free PDF of one version here:

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better. |

Just a quick bit of advice for those holding out till the last few minutes KS crashed in the final hours of Sedition Wars (due to thunder storm knocking out Amazons servers) and there was no time extension given so if you want in don't leave it too late probably won't happen again but you never know.

Vampire Level = Zombie Level + Ghast Level + Wraith Level + Mummy Level. Currently 225minis: 224 Bones Plastic, and 1 Metal Sophie*.
The Necromancers will add another 4 to that total when they are reached. Reaper also has a series of finale options and "goals" to say Thank You to their supporters. They are keeping those under wraps though and will be announcing them at various timed intervals until the end of the campaign tomorrow.
Not sure what it will be - but they have done a good job so far, I don't expect they will go out with a whimper after this. As an added incentive - they are only two spots away from being the 3rd most funded Kickstarter campaign ever. Already, they are #4 in Games and #5 overall. They should overtake Wasteland 2 sometime in the morning and will need another $500K to take the #3 slot from Double Fine.

Please PM me when they arrive. I'm sure I'll be interested in some and first class mail up to Canada is reasonable enough. By which I mean, I'd be happy to pay $1 a miniature + shipping for a decent amount of them. I just don't want all 200+ of them dumped on me at once, so no Vampire level for me.
I totally plan on buying Bones kickstarter singles off of people selling them.
