It looks like they are solving the Hell's Belles missing torso issue by packing a blister of metal riders with later shipments.

So those riders will be part Restic part metal? Or do you just toss out your Restic ones altogether? Either option seems stupid and lazy. I kinda hope thier bunny game doesn't get funded so that they can focus on improving their SDE and robotech distribution. (Admittedly I haven't even looked at that KS)

They cancelled it.
What will probably happen is that people who have already gotten their riders will get metal replacements- the boxes will be fixed with PVC for retail.

I hope the metal riders fit the restic bike. Does anyone here have a metal rider, and if so are they the same number of parts?
EDIT: Did CMON or SP announce somewhere that they were subbing metal riders as a fix? I can't find anything official.

Don't know, but I have noticed that the metal Battle Pose for Princess Malya is a tad larger than the PVC version. Of course, it could be she just suffers from an eating disorder in the PVC version: she is quite skinny.

Metal only shrinks almost imperceptibly between a master and it's casts (so assuming a decent caster it will be better than the PVC version) PVC shrinks a lot more so they will be slightly smaller (unless the file or scanned master used to make the mould was up scaled to account for this) eg this Journey Wrath of Demons mini

Not sure exactly the correct procedure when working with PVC but there is shrinkage, it's physics. However larger minis seem to suffer the most.
I'm guessing there is a proper way to work with it as shrinkage is not consistent.
For instance, the Akosha model from sedition wars shows less than 1/10 of a MM in shrinkage against its resin counterpart, not noticeable. But the Quasimodo is about about 4 - 5 mm and the Samaritan is about 1mm. The Hurley suffered dearly.

While larger models are more noticeably smaller, I'd rather that than some thin models that get unbelievably thin...

Secondary preliminary review:
Snake Priestess: Maybe not as bad as I first thought, but not great. Skull/non horn part of head is still smaller than her boobs and a bit on the small side. Not as small as..
Suspect 7: Wow tiny. Very, very shallow details, and some really bad mold line placement around the faces. Not so good...
Noh Render: Really nice, though very soft line between mask and hair, and the hair has a really awkward twist removal point on one lock. Nice looking model otherwise.
So far things fit together nicely too, and not too many bad mold lines. Generally good other than some soft details and the head scale. Automatically Appended Next Post: Other note, damn, they did not pack this well enough. A few boxes were squished pretty well.
Black Dragons: squished box. Look pretty good detail wise, but mold lines and a little mold slippage it looks like. Not good.
Kasaro To: Really nice looking. No really bad mold lines, though again with the lines ringing the face. Really looking forward to putting him together.
Base Inserts: Really nice.
M8-Blitz tank: Looks nice, other than the complete lack of detail inside the tank treads parts. That is pretty bad.
noh Berzerkers: Look very nice. Mold lines on heads are not through the cheeks but around the bottom more, so that's a plus. Lots of parts, which is a little surprising.
Marikan To: Some rough mold lines, not looking forward to dealing with that. Bird is cute. Marikan's head looks significantly bigger than the snake Priestess', though some of it might be her hair, which is sort of overpowering. The head is pretty ugly, though not as bad as the official paint job makes it out to be (I hope.)
One Shot: also squished box. Gun very awkwardly warped, sort of wavy. The girl herself is very small with soft details; the suspenders seem to be entirely lost, but maybe primer will help? Some bad mold lines on the walker legs that go through the vents on the front, which will be a huge pain to clean. Not well pleased, especially as I really wanted that model to be nice.
Boost pack: Looks fine near as I can tell. They are boxes.
Darkspace Candy and Cola: Looks fine, other than a pour point right in the middle of her left cheek (who the feth designed that?) Her head is pretty tiny (sort of a theme) but her pet's head is larger than the Snake Priestess's. Odd.
Hounds of Nozuki: Very big, very good looking. A little lacking in the detail department (big empty flanks and shoulders) but over all cool models and not bad mold lines etc.

Diamond Corps: Actually, not bad. Detail is a tad soft, but not awful. Things seem well scaled.
One Shot metal pose: significantly bigger than the PVC it looks like. Much nicer over all. SPM should have stuck with metals :(
Void Reaper: I don't remember ordering him... I thought I got the Void Herald... and checking my Pledge Manager, yes, yes, I did order the Void Herald. Void reaper: big, lanky, and uninteresting. No bad mold lines so far as I can tell.
Black Dragons Battle Box: About what you would expect. Troopers are fairly ok, tank is fairly ok, Leopold looks fine, but I haven't dug him out of the recursive baggies to really check it out.
Noh Battle Box: Berserkers have some serious mold lines... odd. Zineda is very 2d, but looks ok other than the super long neck and head area.
Rule Book: Looks nice, quality paper etc. Looking forward to reading it.
Over all first impression: Models are very disappointing compared to previous Soda Pop metals. I think I will keep ahold of the Noh stuff, but torn on the Black Dragon.Diamond, whatever, not great stuff. They are not terrible, but not very super pleasing either. There are some mold lines that will be a bear to clean, and the lack of details that should have been there is annoying. Automatically Appended Next Post: @ Dentry: I am pleased with the Noh Models save the Snake Priestess and the Huntress. The Priestess is a HUGE disappointment, just because I REALLY loved the concept and the end result isn't too good. The Huntress is sort of awkwardly posed and the head is eh.
Black Diamond is ok for troopers and all. One shot is disappointing, and she is largely the reason I got the faction as she is one of the Relic Knights I didn't have in metal.

Betty and Lug looked really good as well IMO. The single piece pit crew looked good, but the long-haired one had a bit of Slenderman disease.

Thanks for the thorough review, Wehrkind! Any chance of a representative pic or two- say, of the best few and worst few models/features?
It makes sense that the Noh came out better than the rest, as those larger-featured designs seem much more suited to the material.

I second RiTides' emotion on Wehrkind's review. I'd love to see pics!
So, help me out, folks. I admit I haven't been keeping track of timelines on this stuff. When should I be concerned about...
1. no info on the $15 credit? I never received any email about it. I had an account at Soda Pop ( SPM) a while ago, ordered some metal SDE dudes, so figured it would just show up. This weekend, I tried to log in and couldn't, so asked for password reset. Nothing ever came. Didn't they have a website reboot or something and lose everyone's info? Bottom line, I thought I had an existing account so have been waiting, but now it appears they may have lost me, and I have no info on the credit... are those still being processed? Should I have it by now?
2. no info on my kickstarter reward. I did some ballpark calculations, based on the described fulfillment, so know that fulfillment may take a while. But I believe I should be on the "larger order" end, which was stated as having a dedicated team. Folks here, in this thread, have said they've gotten their stuff, though they have more medium or equivalent orders to mine. Yet I have no product, no ship info. CMON/SodaNinja is so busy mollifying the EU/APAC people they haven't given (or I haven't seen) any status updates on current fulfillment. Due to this lack of communication, I have no idea what to think/expect on whether or not I should have my stuff/ship info by now.
So, I guess I'm suspecting that I might have fallen through the cracks. What am I missing, here?
ETA - My reward was GTGTA, one of each faction plus one of every single dude, a couple duplicates. So, a lot of stuff.
Again, I admit, I really can't keep track of what is going on with this KS. There's too much hot-potatoing of everything... should I be calling SPM/CMON tomorrow?

Can only help you with 1 Deke posted the following:
Candy Heart backer credit is officially finished. If you did not get yours send an e-mail to Nick at store@sodapopminiatures.com
He's a bit flooded with e-mails right now from all the people ironing out their points and account logins so please be patient in regards to response time.
When you e-mail him please include in the body of your e-mail the following information:
Pledge Number
First Name
Last Name
E-mail address
Everyone who pledged in the Kickstarter is eligible for the credit even if you were given access to the pledge manager or received a refund. It's our way of saying thank you.
I'd guess US fulfilment will run for another 2weeks or so, so a bit early to contact them yet. They said they'd work on large orders along side smaller ones but there's been no real evidence of this from recent reports - then again many may not comment and how do you define a large order?

IIRC, they said they could only do a limited number of 'credit processing' each day (100?) due to their e-mail server or something.
I wouldn't worry about not having a shipping notice until they post a thing stating that shipping is finished. It can take a long time for 2~4 people to pack and ship a few thousand orders.

Yeah I know, accountability is hard.
They should update where they are in fulfillment via whatever metric they chose to use, lines, order, lines per order, or all of the above. It's been almost 3 weeks, and they said they were working on the "high complexity" and easy orders first, i.e. the two tails of the bell curve. What does that mean? Where are they 3 weeks later? I'm not asking 2 days in. Its been 3 weeks.
But, yeah, standard with this kickstarter, lack of updates and relying on goodwill/ignorance of backers seems to be the modus operandi.
No news is not good news based on their previous shenanigans...

Started going through my stuff today and while I totally admit that this project may be benefiting from in infamous "Lowered Expectations", I got to say, I've been pleasantly surprised so far.
The miniature quality is far better than I expected, and certainly better than I had feared.
The quality of the supporting materials (Book, cards, tokens, etc.) is excellent.
Now to dive into the rule book - this might turn out to be something quite nice after all!

Hey guys, glad you found the review useful I took a few pictures along the way, but mostly of the Noh guys as I didn't want to take models out of the bag if I was unsure if I was going to keep them or not. I will try and get some pictures tonight.
Anyone know a good way to get in touch with Soda Pop/CMoN customer service? I haven't done it in a bit, but my email from yesterday about getting the wrong model hasn't been responded to yet, and if it is still quiet tomorrow I will have to try another channel.
Partially that's because I have decided to post up my pledge on eBay for a week or two. I am not against keeping it, but the price I would be willing to accept isn't a great deal more than the cost of the pledge itself, so I figure I might as well give it a go. Honestly, the worry of poor models has sort of put me off the game a little, as I don't see myself getting excited for new stuff or subbing in models I like due to the rather specific aesthetics of the game.
On a related note, anyone get their play mats yet, or even a tracking number?

So I've got the same "Hell's Belles" (missing pieces) and "Pacer" (missing one entire Pacer) issues that everyone seems to be having.

I believe it was DaveC that posted before they're going to replace the Belles with metal riders. I believe the pacers were going to be sent along with the mats. I know my shipping notice read, "phase 1" shipping, so I assume there will be a "phase 2".
Yep, DaveC.

The big play mat should have shipped out at the same time as your main order, but would have been a separate package because if it's size (they were in those big tubes in the warehouse photos)
so while it should have arrived at the same time that depends on how good the postal carrier is at keeping stuff together so I'd suggest giving it a week or so to see if it arrives
(several folks have reported them coming in before or after the main box)
I've found the easiest way to get a response from Soda Pop is via a PM on facebook, they seem to use it regularly
(and it's the sort of thing they can glance in a spare minute on the computer where they might not feel they have time to open their inbox and respond to what is certainly a flood of emails)
People have also reported the arrival of base inserts/missing hells belles box/missing pacer box from those early cerci shipments so CMON is actively doing those

Just to clarify that a member of the SPM forum reported getting metal riders so while not officially announced that seems to be the solution and it makes sense for them to cast up metal riders in house and send them out given every box seems to affected.
