It should be a 40mm so you've got the right size,

it's covered in the rulebook errata here

Has anyone received a playmat? I got to the bottom of my box and nada. Are they in the starter sets?

I'm actually fairly pleased with the models, they are indeed better then I was expecting. Of course, I was expecting a turd, so this may be the soft bigotry of low expectations...

EDIT: Serves me right for not opening all the boxes, the playmats are listed in the contents of the starters. Along with the Esper deck.

...not to be confused with the Battle Mat, shipping separately (but maybe at the same time) in a tube...

...but not something many have received yet either?

I know I haven't.

I fear the battle mat is going to suffer from being in a tube (which postal delivery services don't like as it doesn't lend itself to being stacked in a truck etc)

so it tends to get shunted to the 'difficult' sack, only to be opened on days when they've not got much else to deliver

Got my battle mat today - some 6 days after my initial box of miniatures arrived.

No tracking or e-mail in front of it showing up...

Got my stuff today. Haven't run inventory on it yet but did notice right away that some of the boxes were mashed up. They were all along the same side of the container so assuming this happened after it was shipped out by CMoN.

Spoiler:

But at least all my SDE figs made it.

Er...that's a lot of SDE figs.

Are you...OK?

Also, I was quite fortunate - all of my stuff arrived in almost perfect condition.

If it wasn't for the Hell's Belles issue and my two missing PACER robots, I'd finally done with this Kickstarter - so close!

I know plenty of people don't like Sedition Wars, but that just isn't true.

Of course it's not true, it's obvious!

The strain tokens are in 3mm embossed plastic. They're nice.

They are cheap and received quite a few scratches.

The tiles and counters are 3mm thick, pretty standard for any FFG level production game.

Thickness has nothing to do with it, it's the quality. They were warped and a number of tokens were peeling. I had to have CMON send me 2 sets because the first time they sent them had the same issue. All tokens from the base game are cupped.

If I had 4 boxes of sedition wars

got 4 replacements 4 those tokens

and then another 4 replacement sets for those tokens, it's not a coincidence, but a quality issue.

The cards seem to have a little less "snap" to them but they're hardly "cheap paper".

Cheap paper by comparison I wasn't literally calling it paper.

And the box used a more expensive matte finishing than a lot of games use.

Irrelevant. The box was thin and all boxes were warped, caved in and fell apart.

Additionally, if you like any of the Relic Knights models you're simply being disingenuous if you claim the sedition wars models were that much worse. Here's the proof:

That's not proof. That's opinion, as should be self evident.

The material used just does not capture the style SedWars was designed in, Something bigger and more cartoony seems to be a better fit.

Just feels like it should be the opposite. Ekhis is pretty big and the librarians aren't "that" big.

I'm jealous.

I haven't even got a shipping confirmation or anything yet for my SDE minis. How did they turn out quality-wise? They're the standard SDE material and everything yes?

Update #123

Shipping Update 6-27-2014

Hello Relic Knights!

I just wanted to stop in and let you know how things are going. We're still packing and shipping as many packages a day as we can here in the USA warehouse. Just to remind you guys, we ship to North and South America from here. There have been quite a few questions about Canada lately. I can confirm Canadian shipments are going out currently. If you haven't gotten your tracking number yet, do not panic. Your pledge probably hasn't been shipped yet. Give us a few more business days to move through Canadian orders, you should have a tracking number soon.

As for EU and APAC, we have been in touch with the factory packing boxes. Packing is continuing at a steady pace. They have promised to let us know when the boxes are headed to Germany for EU shipping, and when they begin APAC delivery. we will of course update you as information comes in.

Finally, if you discover anything is missing from your package, like parts, models, etc. please contact Soda Pop Miniatures at: info@sodapopminiatures.com and you will be taken care of after the kickstarter has been fulfilled.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. This is a huge project and there are a lot packages. We're dedicated to getting your pledges to you as quickly as possible, while trying to make sure there are no mistakes along the way.

I emailed them about my missing pieces (not much - the usual Hell's Belles issue, and 2 PACER robots) and was told to hang tight until the shipping was complete...

I'm alright. Not as good as I could be, but not as bad either. So much like the RK stuff itself.

Honestly, the SDE figs are the best thing in my Relic Knight's pledge. Took some pictures for you, straight out of the box (and bag).
Spoiler:

My chief complaint with the RK models is still the faces. They're basically non-existent and my skills as a painter, if we want to be generous and call them skills, are nowhere near good enough to paint what isn't there. I'm thinking of skipping base coats on some heads for fear of losing what lines are there.

The bigger models, Noh and all the mechs, are the best since they're large enough to not lose as much detail as the smaller models. There's some warping here and there and the excess on peg joints is going to cause me some headaches (particularly the smaller joints), but it's not nightmarish. Though I almost bled trying to dry fit some uncleaned pirates.

I did end up with some things missing: 2 Hell's Belles and 1 Hasami. Haven't noticed if anything else is missing.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also, I want to point out that Marikan To is different from her artwork in both face and pose which are inferior and disappointing as next to Kasaro To she was my favorite Noh character. The bird is great, though.

They have a good picture of what you get on the Ninja Division release schedule, but I hadn't bothered to look at that until now.

Agreed!

Anyway, we still have Sophia Drake to look forward to, right?

(And that big dragon looking thing for Noh!)

Aye. That we do.

However, I'm starting to consider purchasing alternate heads from Statuesque Miniatures or some other company. My gut's telling me that the scale will be all off if I do, though.

I have a Statuesque head (nornal size, not the 'heroic') on a Cerci Hell's Belle right now, looks fine. I also tried a Valkeeri head from Hydra, that's not a bad fit either.

I started putting things together and have Marikan-To and the Serpent Priestess assembled so far and was relatively pleased. Then I opened the box of Purifiers...

I hate this material so much.

Mold lines that were a pain to clean on the Noh models are baffling on the petite ladies. The residual chaff from the resin plugs being pulled off (frakkin why, why do they not use clippers?) in some places makes it all but inpossible to tell where things like the head connectors start and the flash ends. Ach!

Thanks! They do look like pretty much every SDE mini. I'm glad at that. Looking forward to finally getting my hands on them after a year and a half.

I'm beginning to think that it will take about 6 weeks to complete EU packing which coincidently is how long the boat would take to get to the EU. I hope to be proven wrong but I'm expecting an update on July 25th that says they are now in Germany and shipping has started for EU backers.

I hadn't considered the above two statements together before. It was always my assumption that once shipping was complete in the states, then we'd start getting mispacks and missing items taken care of here.

Now I'm wondering if fulfillment in this case is on a global scale before corrections are made.

I went ahead and started replacing all my Black Diamond Corps heads. I then got upset with the complete lack of detail on the guns and started to replace those as well. I'm not sure how much of the original model will survive by the time I'm done.

Wow, seeing the two materials together on one model really makes you appreciate the sharpness of HIPS. The PVC legs look like they're made of play doh in comparison.
