I have to say that the timing is not great on this one. Sedition wars has a lot of people holding cash for the CKPM, and Reaper's KS is also swallowing a lot of people's cash. The audiences aren't exactly the same of course, but there's obviously a lot of crossover.

Yeah, that's what kept me to just the Crusader...

Ah well, I believe it will be funded and then I can pick up some awesome model goodness later down the road.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

$21K, 26 days to go... This is going to be fine!

Those unhelmeted infantry look fantastic too, imo.

Nosegoblin,

Do you plan on offering different weapon loadouts in the future? (not talking about the kickstarter but afterwards) It'd be nice to buy some different weapon arms later on down the road.

Yep, each new variant that gets released will make available arms for a separate purchase. swap as we grow

@Agnosto: If you look at the kickstarter blurb, it says that because the arms are twist-off, you will be able to exchange them with future variants and releases.

I'm going to go against the general feeling here and say that the stretch goals are done very smartly. If the funding hits the 45K and 50K stretch goals, this will encourage people to pledge extra money to get those unlocked goodies. Like Xbox Live extra characters for fighting games. The the funding will grow on its own. Brilliant.

Thank you

I understand limitations, everything has to be paid for somehow. But what about utilizing the things you already have? Not every stretch goal need to be something brand new. After all, everyone could probably use more infantry to protect their leviathan's feet, whether they pledged infantry as well or not.

As is, I'll probably pledge something soon (after I've recovered from GenCon), since I've always loved your models. Its too bad I've never been able to talk my acquaintance out of his Gabriel. 9 years and he's still holding strong (though he's never really done anything with it, it just sits in a case).

I'm really looking forward to seeing the heavy infantry, whether in the kickstarter or down the road.

Looks nice. Same as the heavy weapons, it would be a good idea to try to put the Mule on its own sprue(s) so you can also cast them up separately in case people want to use them with other factions. I'd also suggest adding a set of wheels that could be used instead of the legs.

Staying on target.....

Very much interested it both a leviathan and some foot troops however do you have any tax estimates for all us abroad? I have never done anything like this......

And fellow brits help me out here??

Edit: I found a calculator, I calculated for a leviathan and two lots of twenty troops and that came to £24.20 tax and duty, so I'm still in for sure!!

http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/saved_calculations/view_details/103406499/ is my calculation if anyone wants to see it.

Ill agree completely. This is what a real kickstarter looks like...a small company raising funds to do something outside its normal means.Something that, if successful, will allow it to grow into a larger company, but without the weight of high interest loans/funding.

Many of the recent big kickstarters were from big companies that didnt need the advance funding, so they could afford to pile on the freebies.

Im quite satisfied with whats being offered in this kickstarter. Ive got a stake in the Soda Pop one for my freebies fix.

Welcome aboard. I had one of the resin Crusaders, and it was epic. I made a few errors assembling it, so I sold it before it was completely finished, partly to fund my share in this kickstarter. With my previous experience with the kit, and the plastic kit updating some of the problems with the resin kit, I see great things coming.

Unfortunately I'm in the middle of moving, but this has me wanting to complete my crusader. I'll be in for a pretty penny once we get closing taken care off. I hope with these being plastic that it will be more hollow to put in some electronics or to make the cannon spin. I definitely want a Morris and a whole mess of troops.

The new infantry sprue is blurry, are there any extra magazines or hands holding one?

Drum mags? yes, twenty of them The reason the core box set has four is because it was meant to represent a realistic distribution of SAW gunners based on current military doctrine. But I wanted to give everyone a way to get nuttin but rifles or SAW gunners, if that suits them. In addition, I wanted to add some fun extras for “serious bling” and the MULE's should be interesting for any near future/sci-fi games.

I hear ya on that. We are going to be making a 600 mile move the day after this kickstarter closes. Unfortunately its a blind move, we dont have jobs waiting for us, so we will be living off savings until we get jobs. If it wasnt for that Id probably be in for at least double what I have pledged currently.

Mark,

Ever think of doing a medical mule? You could have the same basic set up just with an IV bag holder and some wounded soldier parts as well as doctor-soldiery (non-apothecary) stuff. It would make sense as a field medic could stabilize the wounds and then the mule takes the soldier back to the mash hospital, stops by and picks up more supplies and returns to the combat zone for the next victim. It would free up resources for the fight by not having troopers escort the wounded. The doctor could have a homing backpack so the mule knows we're to return.

I'm going to convert one when I get them, but your sculpts are much better than what I could do.

Here you can see the medical MULE and the revised F.O. team with uplink and designator.

I would make the iv packs just hook around the supports to not risk a super fiddley ftame sticking out.
Id mold some surgical tools or somesuch onto the lunch tray too.

Now this is what I was talking about. This takes the troopers from being a mostly single-option force for use in one game to being a versatile kit that could be used in any game!

They are a tad smaller, 1mm shorter than the metal figs and the base is 1mm thinner than a GW base. This makes them the equivalent to a 28mm fig in height but leaves enough bulk so not to look emaciated next to most figs. I also thickened them up ever so slightly. I am not saying they are "heroic" scale, just that they should look great as long as you’re not mix and matching with the space dwarves in the same force

This shows the legs that result in the tallest profile.... May as well show you worst case But you can see by thinning out the base I was able to keep bulk on the mini while reducing its height. This also allows you to re-base for use in games like DUST and MERCS to have it fit with those slightly taller minis.
