Good for you on the move Theophony. I'm still verklempted from my last one 3 years ago... not moving until I have a really good reason.

@Mad4Minis: I just commented on the update about thinking rather of a second faction, rather than more Eisenkern as well, I think variety in the offer has a chance of reaching a more diverse market as well. Mark is giving us so much at the moment for Eisenkern.

Thank you Vitruvian, that is one sweet sig you just did. I wish I had your internet-fu. Especially since our business is due to update our website and we don't want to be beholden to another company for our code and the frequency of changes.

Haha its just a side product of too much free time

I wonder how long it'll take to unlock those heavy weps, and what sort of price we'll be looking at?

Damn those custom sigs are BIG - sheesh!

I guess given the nature of this Kickstarter, big is right in line with the product though!

I'm thinking 15-20$ for a set of three, later MSRP would be around 25-30$ for a set.

If he priced it as such, I think they would sell like hotcakes.

I know some people would love to see the Mortis being an exchange for a previous crusader pledge, but since I am fired up about having one of each, I'd rather just see it as an additional pledge and get two awesome machines. I've officially given up in my mind about the Gee-dubs starter set in favour of this Kickstarter.

I can always get the set later... much later.

I perhaps erroneously thought people would be able to resize to meet their signature needs and re-upload.

Did anyone notice that the backing drops down significantly during the weekends?

Yes and No. Not exactly.

Thursday was the best day for this one yet (launch-day aside). But both Friday and yesterday added a solid 4000+ dollars, certainly among the better days of this KS so far.

people are out doing things on the weekends, its not abnormal at all.

I need to wait until I know what the heavy weapon teams are going to cost before I can contribute more lest I run out of cash

Support weapons will be $33.

I have a feeling that once we reach the 50, 80, and 90 thousand marks there will be huge surges in backers.

Yes, those goals are very sweet. Speaking of which, can I throw a crazy idea out there?

What if that 125K stretch was the 15mm version of the Mortis? See where I'm going?

@Grudnz:I refuse to entertain the notion that geeks have things such as "lives" and "family" that could interfere with gaming and funding this amazing project.

Hey, cut the guy some slack. He still needs to make a profit off this stuff.

I think a 15mm Mortis is a fantastic idea, personally. I know Mark is carefully deciding what else to add in, but that one would, I think, do really well.

All I'm here for is the infantry, though since I have the resin walkers. Will be upping my pledge as soon as we know what the heavy weapons cost!

So .. are the arms all interchangeable? like if the Mortis happens, would I be able to get the cannons and use them instead of the scythe & claw?

According to the pics on the page, yes they will be. I think that is something he needs to / will clarify, as folks are clamoring to be able to purchase separate arms (for example, when the Mortis unlocks if someone wants a Mortis, but wants to add a gatling cannon arm, like you say).

I think Mark is a little snowed under today but we should find out soon!

Come on heavy weapons!!! Those are really all I need although if he does end up doing heavy infantry, I'll be all over it!

Went ahead and upped my pledge for 3 of the boxes. While not quite as good of a deal as the infantry, now that the upgrade sprue for the infantry has been unlocked (giving them lots of options), they look really sweet and are pretty much the reason I'm here (counts-as IG for now).

So that's me in for 3 boxes of 20 infantry, and 3 boxes of heavy weapons. We'll see if anything can entice me further, but that's all I'll need, I think... unless the rumored APC shows up, of course

Ive got to say, Im pretty excited about the Shadokesh bonus minis. I really like the look of them in their armor, and the feral is pretty cool too.

Depending on how the rest of the faction stuff looks, they might be my boys.

One fluff question...do they use mechs like the Leviathans?

Yes, the Shadokesh to use Leviathans of their own. In fact, the human Leviathans are basically reverse engineered Shadokesh technology after they were able to capture one in a semi-intact state.

I'm looking at this seriously, but will have to assess it closer to its end to see the whole picture of investment to return.

Well, the prices on the kickstarter are better than regular retail will be, and the money is going to fund further product development, so that means the better it does the faster we get more cool stuff.

If your just looking for a metric ton of free stuff...sorry the Reaper and Sedition Wars kickstarters have already closed, but the Relic Knights one is starting to stack on some good stuff. Seriously though, that whole angle was discussed pages back, this kickstarter is as pure as it comes, its for people who like the product and want to support the guy/company behind it. Its already been established that this is a small company and there wont be a lot of freebies. Really, considering how small the company is, the few free add-ons already offered are quite generous...

...but then again Im somewhat biased, I totally fell for the Leviathans when the resin kits kicked off a year or so ago, and in the process of waiting for those I got into the fluff behind the Iron-Core universe, the work of the artist behind it, and saw first hand what a stand-up guy Mark is, and how passionate he is about his creations. That really sold me, and Ive been a fan ever since. Ive seen several familiar names in this thread from the resin Leviathan days, so Im sure more than a few others will echo my sentiments.

Mark just posted this update titled "Something miraculous happened."

In update number 11, I asked my backers for their opinion on adding another troop option to the mix; the heavy troopers.

Many thought they were great and would love to see them, but perhaps later, many were worried that I may overextend myself, but the overwhelming feedback was that nearly everyone wanted more weapon options for the Leviathans. When I say overwhelming, out of 130+ comments… well over 90% agreed that they would like to see more weapon options for the Leviathans! Do you know how rare it is when we are dealing with this kind of product to get a 90% unanimous viewpoint? Rare enough for me to sit up and take notice!

If you know me, and many of you don’t, I like to listen to my customer base, and where possible make changes to keep the majority of them happy and supply them with cool things they want and need.

Based on the feedback, I will be re-visiting some of my offerings for the $100k+ stretch rewards to include some weapon options for your Leviathans.

I look forward to posing up some of these goodies for your enjoyment

Thank you for your help!

Mark Mondragon

So, pretty darn sweet the way he's listening to feedback! Leviathan weapon options it is!! Probably not until we hit $100K, but we are only $1K shy of $50K at the moment with about 20 days left. At the current pace, we may hit $100K in about half that time, leaving some at the end for a push for more extra weapons.

However, at $90K the Mortis unlocks, so that is two extra weapon arms right there that he can offer for add-on purchases or the like.

@Mad4Minis- Agreed! Mark makes a great product, and this is about quality over quantity for me. Although, being plastic, the quantity isn't half bad, either

I hope this does well for a variety of reasons - not the least of which is as I've soured on 40K, I'd love to replace it will something else, and I'd love for it to be a fully supported and fleshed out game set in the Iron Core world!

Very excited about the new weapon options. I also think this thing is going to blow up once we hit the 90k mark...people will want the mortis so it should bring in a fresh influx not to mention current backers adding more funds to get the unlocks

It's looking pretty solid at this point. Even taking out the first day surge it's been consistant so hitting the 100k mark shouldn't be an issue, especially once we hit 80k and the 4.5" one. I think that and the Mortis are gonna be huge. If he's also planning the mini one and isn't locked in I'd suggest the mortis head as an option on that one along with the updated coolant backs as it'd sell like crazy with the new Chaos book coming out.

Just by the way kickstarters always go.. now that it's in the middle period it will slowly trickle up for the next 2 weeks or so, and then there will be a big surge at the end. I'm pretty confident this will end at over $100k.

agreed. I know I'm going to be upping my pledge amount before this kickstarter finishes as I need a second Leviathan I'm just playing the waiting game to see what the options for the 15mm scale as well as the mortis end up looking like. This kick starter is going to turn into a shut up and take my handfuls of money before its over
