The movie was the most aweful thing I have ever seen. I was so disappointed. The books are laugh out loud funny. Those orks look great.

seriously... read them...

by the way... childe... have you read the new book? it´s a fith book out there that spins the story further... i dunno if this might be a bit heretic tho... didn´t read it yet ...tho with the discussion leading into that direction...

and while the books of adams are off the chart.... there where some lengthy bitz i had to really bite through....

and as i´ve read the books and saw the film... i still like the film...as i think the actors fittted quite well... and i did read it first, mind you

no not read or even heard of a new book tbh.

I prefer the original BBC series from the 70's/80's for adaptations... plus there's a cameo in the martin freeman film of the original Paranoid Android.

The TV series or the original radio series? There are about 5 different versions of HHGTTG and they all differ in slight but important ways

Books, Radio, LP record, TV series, Film. On that basis I rather enjoyed the film as it came up with some new madness to slot into the idea. I think I saw the TV series first though, so that really coloured my perception of all the other media. It helped that they got some of the same guys to do the TV series as did the earlier radio broadcasts.

The 5th book in the (increasilngly poorly named) trilogy is really weird and I didn't enjoy it as much as the earlier books. Worth a read though.

Also I really like the Bosspa and the MANZ!

I took that as sarcasm. Maybe it is just the mood I am in. How is the costume coming anyway? Will it be ready in time?

I think orks represent America perfectly. Violent, a bit ignorant but overall pretty damn amazing and always up for a good time. *Cheers*

"Suffering is Faith, Faith is Strength.

Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Either by breaking them upon us like waves against a limitless, golden peak or by thrusting through them like the spear of the Immortal Emperor Himself." - Cannoness Aoife, Order of the desert rose #Yesallwomen
