Oh that's why it was such a big gap. Chicago had a bye. Either way though 13 pts a game is incredible this day and age. Good for the bears hopefully cutler doesn't wimp out in the playoffs cause his knee got banged up.

As a University of Pittsburgh alum, I saw Dave's work up close for six years. I don't know how the guy keeps getting jobs. He's seen a lot of football, but his answer for everything and anything is a basic 4-3 spill defense. I chuckle when I hear Bills fans commenting about the ultra plain-jane schemes, with corners 10 yards off the line and LBs never blitzing...no halftime adjustments...LBs in coverage with WRs, etc. It's the same thing everywhere he goes. He'll tell you long and loud about how it worked at the U and later the Cowboys. But of course that was 20 years ago and he was working with completely loaded squads.
Imagine a guy that conservative as your HC and you'll see why his Pitt teams crapped the bed constantly despite having some talent. He's a good guy and players seem to like him, but I quite honestly don't think he's that bright of an individual.

Meh, it's probably just easier and likely more truthful to just blame the Bills woes on being officially Toronto's 'unofficial' NFL team!
My bet is Wannstadt is secretly trying to emulate the Argos defensive tactics, which tend to involve standing still, not tackling anyone until you've missed at least 3-4 times and followed up by whining about why there was no offensive penalty called on the play!
I watched the last 10 minutes of the Bears v. Panthers. They
should not have won that game. Wow.

Philly just plain sucked today. From the frankenstein o-line to Vick to the "new" D.... just poor play by all.. the only bright spot was McCoy and even his numbers were lackluster due to the horrible play by the o-line.
Andy Reid will likely be working McD's drive thru next season.
But at least they didn't look as bad as the Cowboys do right now.... 23-0..4 turnovers that led to points.....

Watched the Pats vs Rams playing in 'ol London Town today...
Was good to see a game being played like it should be - in terribad weather! Rain really started pouring in the 2nd half.
Not much of a game in terms of it being close though... Pats just destroyed the Rams with their first 5 possessions all resulting in touchdowns.
Too bad they won't be able to get back home until Wed or there-abouts due to Frankenstorm though!

Despite loving them to death, this statement is true Can't help but be over joyed with being 6-1 looking at the last half of the season
Anyone else attend Wembley this year? It was awesome as usual though I think last year will always be my favourite until the bears return.
One thing I would say however is it wasn't that much of a match, I would say more of an offensive masterclass by the pats Poor rams

Yeah... Rams got spanked... just to prove that the Rams have a loooooooooooooong way to go in their re-building process.
I'm just disappointed that Defensively, we didn't put up much of a fight. We had NO answer with their throwing game... especially against Grownowsky TE dude.

Yeh they really do. I mean the foundations are great but there is definitely something missing for them both on defense and offense. I think they could do with a quality wide receiver and maybe a veteran linebacker...... to be fair though some of the offense was great, the line seemed to do it's job most of the time, I seem to recall only one sack, I could be wrong though.
Aye, they had nothing when it came to Gronk, but then again, who does? However his big gains were horrific faults by the rams, one where he ran for 20 plus yards, the nearest defender was what.........3 or 4 yards from him? Unforgivable, he's 6'7"!! You can't leave him open!!

an unverified rumor is that "Uncle" Jerry is looking at possibly drafting Landry Jones from OK. And given the kid's name, can you blame him?

I knew the Bears D would have something to say about the end of that game. With the way that D is playing I never count them out until the time hits 0:00.

Cutler is as tough as they come. The media likes to say he is not tough, but he gets out there play after play, even after all of the hits, knockdowns and sacks he takes.
He was legitimately hurt in that playoff game. He did not wimp out.
You must have missed that Bears Lions game where Cutler got hit really hard and finished the game.

I must have missed the part where cutler needed surgery on his knee because he "legitimately" hurt it ;p. but yes obviously if your playing in the NFL your tough. He however failed his team with a chance to go to the Super Bowl. I'm sorry but unless your hurt enough to require surgery you continue playing with the chance for Super Bowl glory on the line. Otherwise what's the point of playing? With that said if it was like week 3 against Tampa bay or some crap he should sit out and heal up no doubt about it. But with 2 games left in the year if you win, you keep playing.
And trust me I've watched enough bears games to know cutler isn't as bad as the media makes him out to be. Ala the judo takedown suh hit him with 2 weeks ago. I've also seen the 1 game that really matters though. I feel the same way about cutler as I did when ladainian Tomlinson sat out with a mild knee sprain in the AFCC game. Grow a pair and play hurt or be called a wimp by those losers like me who couldn't even make a college squad but pay money so you can play a child's game for millions of dollars.
And PLEASE don't take my comments on cutler as an indictment on the bears. I love Chicago sports I really do, doesn't mean I don't think cutty is a wuss
