I think the Eagles will have something like 7 rookies starting on offense tonight.... should make for fun times.

Of course if Philly loses, they move up one position in the Draft rankings.... If they win the move down 5-6 places.

Of all the races of the universe the Squats have the longest memories and the shortest tempers. They are uncouth, unpredictably violent, and frequently drunk. Overall, I'm glad they're on our side!

As a Browns fan, we went up against a slightly injured Steelers defense (still powerful, that pick 6 at the beginning of the game was decent proof), and a 3rd string quaterback that hasn't started in 2 years.

We still only beat them by 6 points. Granted we held them to nothing in the second half, and 8 turnovers didn't help the Steelers chances at all... Cleveland fans went into that game thinking we were going to lose, and drank ourselves into a glorious slumber that we had beaten the Steelers. We play them 1 more time this year, and we're most likely going to lose that game (Big Ben will be back, and Weeden might still be out), but god dang did that feel like winning the Super Bowl yesterday.

Also, I can't remember the stat specifically, but since 2002, no afc north team has made it to the playoffs once they lose to the Browns. I believe the AFC North record is something like this:

Ravens 9 - 2 (beat the Browns both games)
Steelers 6 - 5 (Lost to the Browns once, will most likely win the next game)
Bengals 6 - 5 (Beat the Browns in their first game, lost the second game)
Browns 3 - 8 (Wtf are the playoffs)

well apparently (According to Football Nation on FB) The Eagles have release Jason Babin,

I'm still trying to work out how this isn't the Eagles shooting themselves in the foot with an automatic

EDIT: And DeSean Jackson is on IR

Yeah, figure that it really took that last TO to seal it for the Browns. The Steelers had a chance to win the game with 7 TOs. Oh well. Seen bigger meltdowns, and #7 might be back for the SD game. Win 3 or 4 of their final 4, and they're probably in. So they aren't done yet.

Regarding Babin, he's kind of a unique player that needs a gimmick scheme to maximize his effectiveness. Line him straight up versus a OT all game and he'll get ground down. It's likely the Eagles won't have their DEs playing 9 technique all game next year under a new coach, therefore he's very expendable. I assume there are positive salary cap implications for the Eagles by releasing him now.

The problem with the Steelers is that they have 2 more division games to play, one against the bengals and one against an almost full strength Ravens team. The last time they met, sure it was only separated by a field goal, but the Ravens have not lost to any division team this season, and the only game I see giving them trouble is next weekend if Big Ben is back and healthy. Though if not, I see the Ravens winning their last two division games. I think the Steelers will lose next week which makes them 6 - 6, they'll probably beat the Chargers and Cowboys making them 8 - 6, and then I'll give them the Bengals game, and most likely the Browns game, but I don't see the Steelers going to the playoffs with a 10 - 6 record.

A 10-6 record will almost certainly be enough in the AFC.

2007 season, the browns went 10 and 6, and didn't make it to the Playoffs. Granted they had the same record with the Steelers who were first in the AFC North (5-1 in division vs our 3-3)

We would have had a playoff spot if the Titans had lost their final game (or we won and they tied), but that doesn't matter.

Yes a 10 and 6 record is good enough for a play off spot, but at the same time, the Bengals are right on their tails with the same record (I believe Pittsburgh has a better Divisional record).

As it stands right now, the Steelers are in the wildcard spot with the last few weeks of the season.

I still feel if Dalton, Green and Ellis can keep their current place they could leap frog the injury ridden steelers

Browns did it

Also I think you mean Green-Ellis (which is one person I believe ). I'm only giving the Bengals v. Steelers game to the Steelers simply because I feel they'll be back at regular operating strength by that time. If injuries continue, then yeah I can see the Bengals beating them. Which would at best make the Steelers at 9-7 team, which might knock them out of playoff contention if the Bengals or Dolphins can start/keep winning games.

Okay... I could have sworn that I the Bengals had a guy named Green on their team (cause I remember him running all over the Browns in their first game this season), but when I googled Dalton, Green and Ellis to make sure (cause I remember hearing Green-Ellis's name this weekend), I didn't get anything on Aj Green

Yah AJ green could and probably will be the next super star wide receiver in the nfl. Kid is really good, and has a guy who knows how to throw to him.

Dalton is helping my fantasy football team. A lot.

Let's see if the Texans can get rolling again this week against the Titans without having another over time. They've played 2 overtime games in 4 days. I hope this 11 day rest will get them back on Track! First round bye, baby!

Haha fantasy... I'm doing so bad this year. I'm 2games out of the playoffs in my only money league. In 2 others I'm 10'th out of 10. And in 1 league I'm tied for first and going to beat the person I'm tied with this week.

I just wish I could make the playoffs in my money league. 600$ to the winner, 300$ to second, and 100$ to the winner. I'm one of three people with any fantasy experience(I am the most experienced) and I have more points than the 4th place team (I'm in 6th place tie but leading on points), so frustrated.

Looks like Philly is trying to "cut the fat" with the release of Babin. They are projected to be over cap by $18 mil. next year.

Several other players are on the short list, including Vick and Demetrius Bell.

Babin claimed off waivers by the jaguars. Good pick up for them, especially if henne can bring some life to their offense like he has so far.

Yea the Jags O is just bad.

This coming week should be a good week too. The Bears Seahawks game will be a good one.

Another clash of overwhelming Defences, although in all honesty Wilson being a rookie could lose it for Seattle, one poor decision to not throw away, poorer ball protection when getting hit etc.

That of course goes out the window if Jay goes down

The Jags O has been poor, especially without MJD, but Henne has played well in the past two games

Per local radio, attitude inside the locker room may have been a factor too. Apparently he was very vocal about some things.

Yah I thought confidence points were like a secondary thing. Didn't realize they were the primary means of score keeping. I think I prefer the straight record.
