since the choice for armies was made today with grey knights could i use my buddies old IG as henchman. Seeing that i like the idea of using the inquistion more than just the grey knights. I mean say taking Inquisitor Coteaz and a squad of grey knights and a termie squad followed up by henchman to be the meat to balance out the amount of outnumbered that they seem to have (feels like khador all over again).

Yep, IG make great acolytes, and the psyers as psykers or mystics (and think the IG get preachers too?). Commisars would make a good second inquisitor and they can make use of the chimera too. Hell at a push i guess you could IG as assassins too maybe

alright, becasue i know GK's are outnumbered often so i wanted meat shields to take bolter and other rounds for me

hey most of what i am fighting is SM's,orks,Chaos Daemons, and tau and sisters of battle poor sisters.

Depends what you run, if you go insane on the war gear or run paladins and whatnot, then yes model for model you will start to notice a difference

i wanted to know his rules in relation to henchman. It was also very late and i was tired.

Get the codex? can have the rules at your hearts content then

basicaly makes henchmen take up troop slots, you can reroll the initiative at the start, he gets i think from memory 2 psychic powers though i forget which, anything thaat DS within 12" of him he and his unit can shoot at for free out of turn. Think thats all?

Incorrect, the Exorcists are not a Grey Knight chapter. As the Exorcists are not made up of psykers most of the weapons used buy the Grey Knights would either be useless or just very basic.

The Grey Knights only have one official paintscheme due to the fact that they do not paint their armour, they do however paint their hereldry on the pouldrens, so that's a good place for adding a splash of colour.

They are founded by the Grey Knights. You can use them as a counts-as. A guy at my flgs does anyway.

A hotly debated topic. It's basis is in one quote from a book, which isnt repeated elsewhere. If that counts as absolute proof, then Gregor Eisenhorn has talked to roboute guilliman.

Paint them whatever you like. There can be some "never before known" "Blue Knights" or something, or you can field them as the Exorcists, or (even better) use the rules to play the Blood Ravens.

Blood Ravens are a Codex chapter with more Librarians than anyone else, but that's about it. They'd be better served as Codex: Space Marines with two Librarians, then allying in Blood Angels or something for a third Librarian.

I've seen Grey Knights in different schemes before, and they still look good. Personally, I like them in actual grey instead of silver.

Someone on Dakka (I think his name was Seb?) has some really good red-painted "Grey Knights". Might check his out for inspiration.

Why would you need to play the Exorcists as a 'counts as' army, they fight following the Codex Astrates, so follow the standard rules of space marines.
