So, at the local game store, there is a league season every three months. Last league cycle my IG sat on the shelf and I built up and played orks alot. Seeing as how green tide doesn't work as well now due to take the nearest casualty off the board rule, you never realy get your ork mobs across the board. Looking at mainly playing 1850 points, so, without any delay, here is my new list.
Commissar Yarrick (warlord)
Chimera: Multi laser, heavy bolter, dozer blade, extra armor
Vet Squad: Plasma gun x3, Missile Launcher, Carapace armor
Vet Squad: Melta gun x3, Demolitions,
Chimera: Multi laser, heavy flamer
Vet Squad: Melta gun x3
Chimera: Multi laser, heavy flamer
Manticore Rocket Launcher
Leman Russ squad 1:
LRBT: Lascannon
LRBT: Lascannon
Leman Russ squad 2:
Demolisher: Multi melta sponsons, heavy bolter, dozer blade
Demolisher: heavy bolter, dozer blade
Punisher: lascannon, heavy bolter sponsons,
I like Yarrick as a Warlord, he is a tough victory point for the opponent to win. I like running tanks, so, that is why there is alot. I am not sure about the Punisher, but, not sure what to put in place. The range of 24 inches is why it is there. Maybe put the eradicator in its place, just a simple eradicator with heavy bolter. It is 215 in points, so, that is the debatable. I am really not buying anything new from GW right now (we all know why).
Let me know your thought, still learning 6th. Been playing Malifaux alot more, so, I havn't really concentrated on 6th.

Tank squadrons really strike me as a bad idea; do you really need a 600+-point unit to shoot at any one target? While more than half of your points can target two squads a turn, your opponent has three Veteran squads to kill and he's pretty much home free.
More troops, more units in general are indicated.

You want about six scoring units minimum at 1850 pts; more as guard since they're so squishy.
Less thanks; that's overkill, and demolishers shouldn't really be squadroned.

Okay. Well, tried this list, did well but with the only three troop choices, it did not hold objectives well. Did some adjustment and still had that good armored feel and did win. Yarrick is a beast of a warlord, very hard to kill and get rid of. New list:
Commissar Yarrick
Chimera: multi laser/heavy flamer
Penal Legion Squad
Vet Squad 1: plasma gun x3, missile launcher, carapace armor
Chimera: multi laser, heavy bolter
Vet Squad 2: melta gun x3, demolitions
Chimera: multi laser, heavy flamer
Vet Squad 3: melta gun x3
Chimera: multi laser, heavy flamer
Armored Sentinel w/ auto cannon
Armored Sentinel w/ auto cannon
Manticore Rocket launcher w/ heavy bolter
Leman Russ Demolisher: multi melta sponsons, heavy bolter, dozer blade.
Leman Russ Squadron:
LRBT w/ Lascannon
LRBT w/ Lascannon
LRBT w/ heavy bolter
I know squadrons are not considered "good" here on these forums, but, I have not had alot of problems with them. Also, the new squadron rules help.
The penal legion squad serves the purpose of holding back field objectives, and, being stubborn helps them. If they do get the good "rending and extra attack" rule, they load up with yarrick turn one and then go look for fun.
Simple adjustments, seems to work better.

You're rarely going to need 3 LRBT's firing at the same target. That's excessive and wasteful; if you're dying to have a tank squadron, use 2, and take those 150 pts and turn that penal legion into another vet squad+chimera

Squadrons get a boost when attached to an allied psyker who has access to divination, especially demolishers. With prescience you can kill basically whatever you shoot at, and if the first one hits dead on and you get a favorable scatter on the 2nd that hits another unit or vehicle you won't even need the reroll. Also I don't remember its name but if you get lucky and pull the 4+ invuln power it will affect the entire squadron.

He has no divination psykers.
