I have to agree that it would get old pretty damn fast. It would be slightly amusing at first and then I can guess that it would seem like a plea for attention.
I doubt that many people would be offended, but it still wouldn't be a good idea.

Hehe, if I was the type that craved attention, wargamers would not be the ones I try to get it from.
PS, I'm a pretty darn good painter.

With off-the-wall "humour" like this, you're better off to actually create a proof of concept first, and ask people's opinion later.
right now, people are determining how good the concept is based on two things: 1) what they think of pot in general and 2) What they imagine the end result will look like.
You can't change everybody's opinion on drug use, but you can at least take their imaginations out of the equation by painting up a model and submitting that for feedback.
If you can do it well, people may be more forgiving even if they don't find pot to be inherently funny. If it is executed poorly, the concept definitely won't change anyone's mind.

Who says I meant the US?
And while the good herb might be federally regulated, it has been this current administration's policy (at least outwardly) to not enforce such laws in states that have medical use laws. So while technically illegal, the mechanism of enforcement doesn't exist as it once did. Off topic, sorry....
While I'm posting though, does this really even PROMOTE drug use in any way, really? Seeing someone simply smoking a cigarette or drinking a beer does nothing to promote usage. Now if those same scenes involved scantily clad women, and folks having a "good time" I could agree to the idea of "promoting" those substances.

Not really, there been no real drop in arrest rates for pot acroos the U.S.A.
Even the Netherlands, home of Amsterdam have passed laws (went into effect in 2012), to not grant "personal use" rigths to non-citizen. Even with that they have a one the lowest use rates per capita in the world.

Yes really. While taken as a whole arrest rates may not have dropped, they certainly have in those areas where local/state provisions allow for medical use/ decriminalization. VERY few individuals get popped by the feds. Where I live all forms of marijauna are decidedly illegal. However, I've been informed by the local johnny lawman that enforcement isn't pursued, as they know damn well that there are bigger fish to fry.
That said, even though Obama claimed that federal laws wouldn't be enforced in certain states, they still are. So Boo to him.
Of course, this has nothing to do with the topic at hand...I still want to see a unit of these "Ganja Glade Guard" (or what have you)...but an entire army could definitely cause problems. Especially within the confines of a GW store.

I've tried it a few times so it's not that I'm uneducated in the subject, I just don't get the need to advertise it. It's not cool, it doesn't make people think more of you, and in my experience it just turns you in to a complete ass.
I get the comparison that you're making, personally if I saw I'd just roll me eyes and move on to the next.
QFT. Pot smokers seem to have this narcissistic bent that they feel the need to tell you that they smoke. If you smoke and you can hold down a job and pay your bills, I'm happy for you. Just STFU about it.
I'll deal with someone taking smoke weed, over dumb college kids talking about getting drunk any day of the week.
Firstly, wahey! I got a WFT! Mark this in your diaries everyone, we'll celebrate this moment at the same time next year
Secondly, nah I'll go for the drunk college kids any day of the week. Hell, the drunk anybody, any day of the week. For example, my best mate enjoys a smoke. He enjoys it too much and it has become a problem to the point that I told him to feth off and roll one just so he'd stop being such a maungy git (it's a complete no go at my place). He wasn't always like that though, he used to be fun to be around. Then he discovered weed. I know he thinks that he's fun, especially around his little crew of stoner friends. But when all he does is sit on my couch with eyes glued to the TV and no interaction at all? On your bike. However, we've managed to introduce him to a couple of different drinks (I don't think he knew of anything but lager before, which he ain't fond of) and now he's a drinking buddy, and a damn fun one at that. I know if he's coming over for a drink, that we're in for a good time.
I think what I'm trying to say is weed = sat in a corner not even realising that you're not saying anything and everyone else is bored as feth that you're there, whereas drinking at least you interract with people.

I think this conversation has reached its end... Remember guys we have a lot of kids here and while I am not endorsing or condoning this topic in and of itself, in that context it is something I would rather not have the littler guys reading.
Thanks for understanding -
