lol, i have a bad habit of starting too many projects and i cant hope to finish them all.
So im going to focuson chaos for a while.

Get paid friday so im ordering 5 box's of flamers of tzeentch and the blue scribes and thats me at 1.5k points, then im going to speed paint for a few days lol

5 boxes of flamers... thats more than a 100 bucks, right?

then another £23.50 for the scribes.

Got 6 flamers at the moment, but they are finecast and cost double per box lol.

Most people here have dropped from 2,500 point games down to 1,500, so i need a army to play them.

Most of my daemon builds really only work at 2,000+ point games.

For some armies being able to use a 2nd chart really brings them up to level.

Nids are a good example.
Usually you would see people running a packed elite choice of 3 hive guard, 3 hive guard and 3 zoanthropes.
With the availability of a 2nd chart they can take venomthropes for cover, ymgarl stealers for the sheer terror aspect and anything else they like.

Kinda like the way crons have all the good units as a fast attack option.

By taking that 2nd chart you do need to take the basic choices, which then are 2 HQ's and 4 troops.
Still not much of a setback though, i usually have all of that on a single chart lol.

ah... understanding is dawning on me^^... and iirc i even saw that stated in an old IG codex...

those wings look great and have a soft glow/feel to them.

The one thing about Tzeentch daemons is they always look like John Travolta in Saturday night fever dancing to the Bee Gees Staying alive...

Had painted him normally, then killed about 20 hours work with a can of black spray to start again in this theme lol.

Got a rough list planned out of what i need painted:

18 flamers
12 screamers

These 4 were simple test subjects.

Next 2 will be pure close combat layouts in running poses, so i get to hack them up and re-build them

Simply wanted to see what dynamics i could draw from the cheap £5 ones 1st.
Also, unlike the AoBR dread, its possible to change posses in a huge way due to how the kit goes together, so no real need for what im sure will be a £30 kit.

Quick question. Have Hellbrutes completely replaced Chaos Dreadnoughts, are they a seperate unit, or is it just the new name for a Chaos Dreadnought?

They are now in effect the new dread.
Dreads no longer really exist.

I'd guess that they want to move away from loyalist names with added spikes.

makes sense tbh... Chaos as the book it is needed to become less of "Space marines with spikes" and more the twisted soulless things they are... Legions on the other hand would most likely contain CSM Dreads i'd have thought.
