I like the AP 4 chain axes too but I think berzerkers are going to be underplayed
My Meta has lots of Tau, Eldar and 'ard Boys running around. AP4 chain axes will be a must for our local Chaos players.

That's four witchfires, which would be illegal. And Tzeentch's Firestorm is a small blast, not a large one, from what I've seen.

Wow math hammer came up again this is getting ridiculous.
This is what I'm trying to say I wouldn't build an army based on what a program told me to do because it's the best possible most destructive build out there.
I don't care if you use math hammer. good for you.... whooopie! I don't need it. Who cares. I was building winning armies before it. Im honestly not worried if you use it. If you feel its the way to go n you build your armies to what a calculator says cool. I'm not gonna buy unit X with weapon X just because "its the best according to my calculations"
I also don't run tankfest, zilla, or horde armies.... why... because I'm not into it.
Who cares if turning your base sideways isn't breaking the rules... the intent shows your integrity as a player. "Any thing to win"
I'm done with this BS topic too. Are the 2 separate ideas yes.... what links them though... why do I bunch the Cheesey players with the hammer guys.
Give it some thought.
You (whoever) want to defend anything to win tactics have fun. I find it an unsportsman playing style and you get no respect.
If you use mathhammer to build you force. Have fun buying that stuff I hope its also stuff you wanted and not a blind build based solely on calculations. I hope you enjoy painting and building those models...
Play me you'll see the army I wanted to the sword and you'll never walk away feeling cheated.
Nuff said on this.

I applaud this man for being able to show so much indignation, without actually understanding much.

So I've been following this thread since the beginning and I love all the photos of the codex taken and have had fun looking over them.
But now I go back to the first page and I see that some are missing. I understand that they keep editing the first post for new people who want to see the stuff without looking throughout the 100 plus pages.
But I swear I remember a link to a picture that had information about the hellbrute and stuff like the special rules like veterans of the long war and stuff like that.
If anyone knows what 'm talking about can they please either give me a link to those pictures or tell me about them.

Do you mean the old dreadnought model? I certainly hope you don't! Hellbrutes are Dreadnoughts under a different name and that's basically it. I don't quite understand why some people have such a hard time getting that. The AP4 chainaxes on Berserkers will be great against a lot of units that frankly die pretty easily in close combat anyway. If I'm playing against Necrons I'll want them though.

Seems to me more like you have no idea what mathhammer is. It has nothing to do with programs, and has nothing to do what is the most destructive army list, it is about predeterining the odds of a favourable outcome, so you don't run into a situation you are unlikely to profit from. Mathhammer is not a necessity and I won't criticise anyone for not using, but equating it to WAAC behaviour and acting like it is a circus act is naive at best so I'd urge people not to act like it is such.
I've had pleasant conversations with you in the past, but it seems the last few days you are trying to run your playstyle down peoples' throats, as well as calling people different polite phrases for the word 'douchebag' if they don't play the way you do. This isn't on at all, just because someone likes to play a tactical game within the confines of the rules doesn't make them TFG; on the contrary I'd be more inclined to say its people that call fair players such that are actually more likely to be TFG.
So please cut it out and have the tiniest amount of respect for those that disagree with you, we all have our own playstyles and they are all valid.

I started this thread.
Check Bloodofkittens.com for more pictures.. Or, here... http://darogscompany.blogspot.com/2012/09/codex-csm.html
Some pictures have been edited in (and even out) or the original post for certain reasons. Sorry.

This is a great mathhammer/pivoting roundup thread. On that note does anyone have something relevant to say about the new CSM codex? Links to new pics? Anything?

It's unlikely we'll get anything new until Thursday when some peoples' pre-orders come in. At that point we are pretty much at general release though, so this thread has outlasted its purpose.

I'd close it myself if I could, because I know some people only check here to see if there's something new.
Once I get the book in my hands this week you can bet that my time will be spent in the Tactica forum, making sure that I make the most out of throwing minutes from my life out the window.

Can you request it closed by an admin and start a new thread when new info comes to light?
